![[image]](http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d100/sawyerfngrl136/Queety/Picture2.png) The Girl She was almost never called by her real name. When she was young her mother came up with a nickname that was a combination of her real name and the word "sweetie" and it came together as Queety. She went by the name Queety White for as long as she could remember. She prefers to use Queety as a single name; no first name, no last. But if someone seriously needs her last name, she'll use her original one, White, which she despises. The only person who she allows to call her "White" is her best friend, Straw Buckett. She eventually legally changed her name to Queety White. Few people know her real name nowadays.
Her birthday is July 20, 1990, making her current age nearly 19 years. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts in the USA as a muggleborn. No, she does not have a thick Bostonian accent so don't ask. In fact, she lost her Boston accent when she came to Britain and has since had a British accent that seems completely natural.
Her current occupation is a novelist and a teacher. She is the History of Magic professor at Trio's Hogwarts. She just recently published her first novel, Another Dreamer and is working on her next, Observations of a Love Disaster. A previous novel, temporarily titled The Buckett Project: Based on a True Story, was tossed.
Her wand is mahogany, unicorn tail feather, 10.5". It is the same wand she got when she was a first year and it is great for charms!
Appearance
![[image]](http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d100/sawyerfngrl136/Queety/04.jpg) At 5'9", Queety is fairly tall. She is half-Italian, half-black, thus making her a mulatto. However, she often says she's black just to stand out amongst her friends. Her skin is light for an African-American but she makes up for it in her dark eyes. Her brown eyes are so dark it is hard to distinguish the iris from the pupil. She has long, thick eyelashes that make people ask if she is wearing mascara. She most likely is not. Queety is too lazy to apply make-up on a regular basis. She also has a small scar near her left eye from when she walked too close to a swing set and got hit on the side of the head. She recently got a tattoo on her right hand of pink stars.
Queety's hair is naturally dark, dark brown with tight curls. She does not bother with the tight curls any more though ever since she learned and mastered the transfiguration spell that can straighten her hair or just make it more manageably wavy. Her hair goes halfway down her back either down or in a long braid. All through her school years, her hair was in the braid. However, since she has grown and matured, she styles her hair in an older fashion. She has the popular slanted bangs. She used magic to dye her hair blonde. However, recently, she has gone back to the natural dark, dark brown hair she used to have.
Queety has glasses. Whether or not she wears them depends on her mood. If she wants to look studious and older, she will put the glasses on. That rarely happens. She prefers to go without her glasses. Thus she tends to trip over things easily. She has considered getting contact lenses as she would never attempt magic on her eyes. She did not want to ruin them by going blind or worse, the eyes lightening in color a little bit!
Queety's clothes reflect her personality: different. The most important thing for her is comfort. So, she will often express her individuality in her t-shirts. She loves wearing her shoes that were made to not need laces. She does not like wizarding robes [she finds them rather itchy] so she will not mind traveling around without them. It seems so odd for someone who tries to avoid muggles so much to wear mostly muggle clothing. However, Queety does feel more comfortable in wearing the same style of clothing she's worn all her life. When she was younger, she was well known for her trademark red baseball cap. She does not wear it as often anymore but she still has it. She wears all different colors of clothing, but she tends to stick to the purple stuff. Purple's her favorite color.
All in all, Queety is pretty average looking. She's not ugly, but that's most likely because she uses so much magic for her appearance, especially with her hair. If anything, her smile makes her look prettier. Her smile is wide and always accepting. And her smiles are most likely accompanied by a hearty laugh. If there is anything Queety really loves about herself, it is her smile.
Family
![[image]](http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d100/sawyerfngrl136/Queety/03.jpg) On the subject of family, Queety is quite careful about the words she chooses. She considers her family her best friends and her cats.
![[image]](http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d100/sawyerfngrl136/Queety/cats/kitten4.jpg)
However, if you mention her biological family, Queety immediately goes silent. Queety comes from a muggle family consisting of a mother, a father, herself, and her three younger brothers. None of the other boys ever showed signs of having magical abilities. She has not spoken with them for nearly two years. Her family bitterly opposes witchcraft and when Queety was first accepted into Trio's Hogwarts, they were completely against it. Then when she was able to go to the school, her parents tricked her into leaving the school after her second term. They forced her into a muggle school. Appalled at her family's reaction, she ran away from home back to Britain. She has not spoken with them since. By this point, though Queety has considered reconciling with them, the fear of not talking for so long has led her to believe that she will never have any contact with her family ever again. She has decided to just push them out of her life. They are not a part of her anymore.
Personality
![[image]](http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d100/sawyerfngrl136/Queety/01.jpg)
If you ask anyone who knows Queety what three words best describe her, you would hear “Happy, Crazy, and Fun.”
Queety is well known for being a klutz. There is no way around that one. She often drops things, trips, breaks stuff. She is lucky that most of her charms come out successfully. However, it does take her a bit longer to master new spells. It took her three tries before she finally passed her apparation exam. She cannot make a potion if her life depended on it. Even when she talks, sometimes her words do not come out exactly as she wants them to. Still, most people find it entertaining to see Queety trip up on something. She cannot help it. It is just a part of who she is.
Queety is best known for being overly optimistic. She always sees the best in people and gives them the benefit of the doubt. She does not see reason to hate someone. When situations seem to go wrong, she tends to fix it with her smile and laughter. Some say that Queety has a special power in her smile. It is the kind of smile that you cannot help but smile back to. Even when someone is in the darkest, foulest mood, her smile can change their view of life entirely. Usually the smile is the first thing about Queety that you see.
While Queety does not hate, she does have some distrust toward Muggles. This is relatively recent thing. It seems odd considering Queety is muggleborn. However, ever since she found out she was a witch, she had only seen the bad side of muggles. Her family is the first source. She has not spoken with them for years. However, the event that really gave her distrust toward muggles was the day those muggles broke into Hogwarts. Since then, Queety could rarely be seen in muggle London. She does not have contact with muggles. The only connection she has to their world is some of their technology.
Queety is quite the dreamer. She loves to imagine how things would be. If you ever see her with a goofy grin on her face, looking up at the sky, it's most likely because she is dreaming at the moment. Her dreams are also the reason for her aspirations. She hopes to one day be something special. She wants to do something great whether that be as a great professor, a famous novelist or even just making a huge difference in someone else's life. She feels that she cannot leave this earth without leaving some sort of legacy. She will often take advantage of situations when she could make a difference. For example, when the muggles attacked the school, even though Queety was not a prefect, she took a leadership role in making sure all the first years were still okay. Queety wants anything to be remembered. Anything to be special.
Queety is a proud former Mihael. She knows that Mihaels are most known for being unique. Thus, Queety is probably the epitome of a Mihael. She loves to stand out and be different. She wants to be known as the girl who did not follow the mainstream. She does not go to the extent where people would call her crazy [at least to her face] she has been known to make people just shake their heads and pretend that they don’t know her.
Queety truly is a daredevil inside, though she refuses to say so. While she has a facade of being a mature, independent young woman, deep down she would rather go running through a dangerous forest where she most definitely is not supposed to be. Queety’s actions have gotten her into trouble before, including the time she fell from her broom during Quidditch practice. Still, she has yet to done anything that has gotten her into grave danger. At least not yet.

The Story Thus Far Before the school Queety was the firstborn girl who came into existence on a warm July evening in 1990 before even the great Harry Potter knew that he was a wizard. So long ago that seemed. Anyways...
Growing up in Boston, Queety came across many different kinds of people. However, for some reason, she felt that she was even more different. She often would make things move without physical force or random things [like cake and pies] blow up. Of course, Queety's parents always thought it to be coincidence. However, Queety felt that she was different. Thus, she decided that she would make sure she was different, permanently adopting her nickname Queety and doing whatever possible to stand out.
When Queety's younger brothers were born and less of the focus was on her, Queety tried even harder to stand out. She even started getting amazing grades at school for her parents' attention. But she soon realized that she would have to share it with her three little brothers. Having lost the battle of sticking out in her own family, Queety decided to stick out among her friends. She adopted the klutzy, crazy personality that she still has today. She began writing stories with the hope of eventually publishing them and becoming famous. Anything to make her different from everyone else.
Well, her wish was granted when she was fifteen years old and received a letter saying she was accepted into Trio's Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Finally, she had the chance to be different from everyone else in her family. She was a witch! It explained all the weird happenings around her and it fulfilled her desire to stick out. Satisfied with this letter, Queety began packing up to move to Britain.
Her parents refused to let her go. First of all, they completely opposed the idea of witchcraft. Secondly, they did not want their only daughter to go to school all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. Upset, Queety locked herself in her room for three days, not coming out except at night when her family was asleep. She knew she was going to go to this school, no matter what it took. She continued to fight it, saying that she needed to be at this school. At Trio's she would be more accepted. People would look at her a freak back in Boston because she was so different. It offered an explanation for her weird abilities.
Eventually, with the school's help, Queety was able to go to the school. Her parents still were not happy about it but they did sort of fear they would be hexed if they did not allow Queety to go. And thus, Queety became a student at the beginning of the fourth term under Headmistress Hermione Potter.
Years 1-2 Queety was sorted into the newest house, Mihael unsure of why she would even go there. No one told her what a Mihael was. There was no trait to Mihael that she could identify with, like those in other houses. But within a few weeks, Queety adjusted to the life there. Eventually she would realize that she could not fit in any other house. The few other Mihaels that she still remembers were Jackie, Carrie, and Valako. There were a few older Mihaels who became her friends as well, Nova and Joseph.
Queety began going to classes much like any first year would. She knew practically nothing about the wizarding world and so she struggled a little in the beginning. There was even that time she fell asleep in Professor Potter's History of Magic class. Who could blame her? She did not like history by that point. Still she felt that she belonged her more than anywhere else.
She made more friends including Nessa, Violet, Lillian, Jonny, and Justin. Queety had a crush on Justin then and he sort of liked her back. Nothing ever happened though. Just one blind date that Queety's friends had set up for them. Then all of a sudden Justin disappeared and Queety continued on.
One rainy day, Jackie was sitting on a log. Queety joined [even though she absolutely hates the rain] as well as Lillian and Nessa. Afterwards they went down the kitchen to make brownies. It was at that point that Jackie named them the four Musketeers and they have been friends ever since. A little while later, Violet was asked to join and she was welcomed with open arms. For a while you would never see one musketeer without at least one other.
Strangely, Queety started getting weird visions. Most of them happened in her dreams. She would dream of an event and it would eventually come true. However, it was not like she could foretell the future. In fact, she thought it was just coincidence. She would not remember the dreams when she woke up in the morning. When she experienced the events for real, they felt more like deja vu but it would be then that she remembered she had dreamed of it before. Then, one day, they just stopped. She stopped having weird dreams of every day happenings and that deja vu feeling stopped. Weirdly enough, those dreams stopped happening after she took her first visit into the Forbidden Forest.
By this point, Queety still kept in contact with her family. But they kept trying to persuade her to come one. Queety refused, finally finding a home where she could be herself and people would still like her. She had friends who she loved and classes that she was interested in. Not to mention the fact that she was learning how to use her magic powers. Still, she was starting to get a little homesick after being away from home for six months. Her parents persuaded her to go home, just for the break.
Back in Boston But they were not planning for her to stay at home for only a week. As soon as she came home, her parents told her that she was never going back. They forced her into a muggle school where she was miserable. Queety lost contact with all her old friends and they went on without her. After two months of it, Queety felt more homesick for her home at Trio's than she had ever felt for Boston. She knew that Britain was where she was supposed to be. So it was then that she planned to run away from home.
A month later, Queety received a letter from Jonny Blaise, one of her best friends. It was nothing more than a Christmas card but it was enough of a push for Queety to finally leave her house and never look back. She took a plane to Britain and did not speak with her family ever again. They tried to send her letters to get her back, but Queety refused and dropped all means of communication with them. They would later try to send a few owls her way but she would never read those letters.
Coming back to Trio's/ Years 3-7 One of the first things she did when she got back to Britain was beg the Headmistress to let her back in the school. She did, but Queety could not join her fourth year friends. She had to go back a year after missing an entire term. She lied to her friends, telling them that she had gone to an American Wizarding School just so they would never know how ashamed. That was when she started to get to know people who had come to the school the term after she started in the beginning.
One day, Queety and Jonny, being the little daredevils they were, decided to go into the Forbidden Forest. This was only Queety's second time there but it would not be her last. On that trip, they found unicorns, an event that would change Queety's life forever. Since then, Queety has been obsessed with the forest. All through the rest of her career as a student, she would spend most of her time in the forest, either helping first years who had gotten themselves lost or searching for more interesting creatures.
As far as classes went, Queety started to focus more in Charms, Divinations, and especially History of Magic. She got by with her other classes, enough to make it through the following terms at Trio's. She still had no contact with her family and she was just fine with that. It was a new chapter to her life and she was ready to take it on.
Something new that Queety did was join the Quidditch team. She was interested before but never considered it because she was muggleborn. However she decided to just go ahead and give it a try. She took what little money she had left and bought herself a cheap broom and other materials needed to be a Beater. She was quickly accepted onto the team and became one of Mihael's Beaters. Queety spent most of her time with the Quidditch team led by Captain Harmony Lupin. There was one term when the Quidditch team was all girls. That was probably the most fun.
Now it was not too often that Queety got involved in the romantic area of life but when she did, it was a big deal. This time, she really liked her best friend Jonny Blaise. She did not tell him at first because she was afraid of ruining their friendship but eventually she told him [mostly because he had dared her to 'tell the guy you're fond of that you like him']. Things went on as normal but their relationship did not change. The next dance was coming up so Queety built up the courage to ask Jonny. He declined saying he was not interested in going. So Queety went alone, but she was okay with that. Until she saw Jonny dancing with his friend Efni. Quite upset, Queety sort of avoided the two for a while. But when they started dating, Queety for the first time felt heartbreak. She barely spoke with Jonny after that.
Probably a bad idea because right after his graduation, he disappeared. Queety envied Jackie, Nessa, and Violet because they were graduating when they were supposed to and Queety still had another term to go [Lillian had fallen behind so she was in Queety's year as well]. Still, she could not help but enjoy her other friends that were in her year. Though her older friends were still considered her best, the graduation marked the beginning of the shift. The Musketeers began to break up a little as Violet left for London, Nessa went to the one year project, Trio's University, and Jackie became a TA for Transfiguration.
Life-Changing Events Queety spent most of her time with Quidditch to deal with the fact that her closest friends were gone. One day at Quidditch practice would change her entire life around. There was a new Mihael girl named Stephanie who was trying out for the Quidditch team. There was something peculiar about her but no one really noticed. They continued with practice anyway. Queety was playing as Chaser for the practice to help Stephanie learn. Queety was not a good Chaser and often would drop the ball. However, by luck she actually caught the quaffle on the first try. So excited, she began dancing around on her broomstick and did not realize that she was flying toward one of the walls of the Quidditch pitch. She crashed and fell off her broom thinking either her life was going to end or she would not be able to live the way she once new when she was caught by Stephanie. It was strange how strong the girl was when she pulled Queety onto her broom. What was even stranger was the fact that she had a deep, male voice. Queety took off her sunglasses and instantly recognized her as a he. It was Straw Buckett, a Gryffindor in her year. Queety was in complete shock with everything but she held onto Straw as they went back down to the ground. Queety's broomstick was broken and she quit Quidditch for the rest of the term.
However, that experience matured her. It made her see that she would not be so careless about things. She had been living on her own for about a year now and she was almost out of money. Now was the time to start behaving like an adult. Her independence suddenly had shown through. It was on that day that Queety became an adult.
Then another nearly life-threatening event occurred. It was the day that muggles were able to find the school. Queety was a seventh year by this point and she felt that it was her duty to be a leader. She attempted to calm down most of the younger years while the professors and prefects went against the muggles. But when Rainne Fall got shot, Queety was left in a daze. It was from then on that she had a great distrust for muggles. She did not want to admit that she was afraid of them. But she distrusted how they would not respect the fact that there were students in a school when they fired. And someone did get seriously hurt from it all. The break that they all had to spend hidden in the castle was the worst week of her life. She still cannot talk about that time. She prefers to keep it locked up in the back of her mind.
Adulthood So, by luck, Queety graduated from Trio's. But she would not leave the school that quickly. Oddly enough, Queety decided that HOM was her favorite subject and she wanted to teach that. She got a job as the History TA but was promoted to Professor quickly after. Suddenly, with a steady income and a home, Queety felt that she could survive independence. She was older and more mature but she still had that Queety-charm that she always possessed.
But there were some changes in her. She lost that daredevil sort of lifestyle. She became mellower. She was resourceful and responsible. She dyed her hair blond and dressed and acted as if she was older than seventeen. She wanted anything that would make her seem more mature. She stopped going into the forest as well. But since then, every time she glanced at the forest, she would feel a huge urge to go in. She did not know what it was and she was both curious and afraid to find out. Even her friends changed. The spectrum shifted. She started becoming closer to Straw and his group of friends, including Aaron and Kelly. She was even starting to become interested in Straw. Of course, when someone saves your life, you start to see him as more than just a friend. She still spent time with her old friends but it just was not the same. Queety still hopes for that one day when the Musketeers could all get together again like old times.
The End of the School It was a sad day when the Ministry of Magic closed down the school. Queety was left without a home or a job. After coming so far as a professor [she was one of the most popular ones and she loved her work], suddenly Queety was back to where she started when she ran away from home. To avoid any sort of depression, Queety turned to her stories. All through her years at Trio's, she had a couple notebooks where she would write whatever came to her mind. Before she decided she wanted to be a professor, she had considered being a novelist. Now, she decided to pursue that dream again. She started work on her first novel, Another Dreamer and was able to finish it in three months with all the new free time she had.
She moved around from friend's house to friend's house. She would not stay too long because she feared she would be taking advantage of them. She was beginning to run out of money again. Thus she made the vow to find a steady job and eventually get a home of her own. She had given up hope that the school would ever open again. Until that day she picked up the newspaper and found out that what she hoped was coming true. Trio's Hogwarts was going to open again. But Queety did not know that things were going to be different.
Back to the Old Days, Right? Wrong!
When she came back to the school and discovered that it was going to be a magical university, Queety feared not getting her job back. But if worse came to worse, she would just return as a student. Anything to go back to her old home. But luckily for her, she did get the job back. Though teaching at the university level is different and actually a lot harder than she imagined, Queety was glad to have made this choice. Though she misses many of the people who were around before, she hoped that one day their paths would cross again.
Along with the changes of the new school, Queety also was starting to gain new friends, one of them being Ashkir Devereux. Even though he was one of her students, she felt that they had a lot of fun whenever they hung out. Queety wanted to be more on the friendship basis with her students considering she was just about the same age as them. Hopefully her new students will come to like her just as much as her old students did.
One of Queety's best friends, Violet, left the country with no plans of returning. This was the second time one of Queety's best friends had left. And though she feels a bit of loss from that, the friends she lost were nothing compared to those of Straw Buckett.
And speaking of Straw, Queety finally told him about how much she fancied him. He said that he, too, liked her and the two shared a kiss. However, Straw feared that his old tendancies would cost them their friendship. Queety replied promising that they would always be friends now matter what happened. She was unaware of what her future laid out for her and the choices she would make that day would affect her for the rest of her life.
Up and Down Hills
Being just friends with Straw was easy enough. They would laugh like old friends and even attempted to learn how to drive muggle cars. But Queety still kept hoping that somehow, Straw would reconsider. Finally, when she brought it up again, she was shocked to learn that there was someone else that Straw was finding himself drawn to. This truly hurt Queety who had been a similar situation before, when someone else seemed to mean more to a guy than she did.
Wanting to know who it was but not wanting to pry, Queety hung low. But eventually she learned it was Harmony, her best friend. It was a rough time because Queety could barely talk to Harmony about it. The girl always seemed to disappear for a bit and then reappear. It was too unpredictable. Queety stayed out of the way for a while after that.
It was the return of some familiar faces from the past that brought Queety back up. There was Violet, who had apparently gotten married and had now returned. There was also the return of Harmony's past love, Eric. While trying to be a great friend to Harmony and support her while she was confused, she was also jumping for joy inside hoping that Straw would realize that she, Queety, was the better choice all along.
So, Queety figured it would be best to just give it time.
So, she waited. And waited. And waited.
Eventually Queety started going back downhill. She was bored. The school had been put on hiatus. She barely saw any friends around. She did not feel like herself. So, Queety decided that she would make a spontaneous trip. Strangely enough, though she promised never to go back there again, Queety found herself in Boston, her hometown, ready to see if she could rediscover 'The Old Queety." She met up with old friends who only appeared interested in her until she refused to tell them why she had left and why she came back.
After her so-called 'friends' left, Queety was willing to return home. However, she ran into a very close friend of hers. In fact, it was her ex-boyfriend from the time she had been forced by her parents back to Boston. It was the first guy she thought she loved, the guy she hurt when she left. But coming together made the past disappear and they were suddenly best friends. He brought her around the city like she was a tourist and they enjoyed their time together. More importantly, it gave Queety the chance to be herself again. Finally, she found the old Queety she was looking for.
Nothing Good in Life is Scripted
After returning from Boston, Queety felt that she had changed slightly. She had not become a new woman but rather found the old Queety she was before. With a new term beginning and two schools erected, Queety looked forward to the start of something new.
Her hopes soon were brought up by the fact that Straw had pulled her aside once and told her that though he needs to organize his own feelings first, perhaps he would take a chance with her. Excited with the possibility that she could finally have the man she loved, Queety began wrapping herself up in a fantasy that they could be together. She never once thought that Straw could actually be in love with Kat Samuels.
At the same time, she began writing her new novel. It was temporarily titled, The Buckett Project: Based on a True Story and it was based off what she had always seen of him since they became friends. She was nearly done but she still did not know the ending to his story. Finally, approaching him to let him know of her latest novel, he excitedly responded that he had the ending. Queety thought, finally, he had made his decision about her and the dream that she had for nearly two years would finally come true.
However, what she had planned was not what would happen. In fact, not only had Straw chosen Kat, but he also told her that the two were engaged to be married. This news shocked Queety more than others and provoked her response of rage, yelling at him, calling him foul names, and throwing her story at him. No longer interested in writing it, she left it with him and stormed out, shaking and in tears.
For a while, she did not want to talk to him because she was afraid that she would get upset again. She had run into him several times during that period, once by accident by the Shrieking Shack, which had become her place of solace, and at Straw's sister's wedding. However, it was not until later that Queety finally felt like she could talk to him calmly and rationally about the situation.
When she had planned to meet with him, he got into a terrible accident. She immediately went to see him and was one of the first people he saw when he woke up. She immediately apologized and spilled her feelings. She told him that she does not know if she will ever be able to get over him but she promises to support him as his best friend. He responded that their friendship was special and no one would be able to break through it.
Golden Smile... Silver Tears
After making up and promising to be best friends forever, Queety and Straw began to look forward to their new lives. Queety wondered if she would ever find someone that she loved more than Straw Buckett. However, the greater question would be if she would ever get over him.
Chapter to be added.
So I'll wait for your smile. Now confused about what had happened those summer months, Queety set out on a mission to put the puzzle pieces together.
to be continued...
