Hi, welcome to Trio's Hogwarts. If you're having trouble figuring out what to do, you're looking in the right place.
So, here's what you do to get set-up.
1. Read the Rules and the Backstory to get an understanding of the site.
2. Post a bio in the Biography Bastion --If it's approved, your bio will be marked with approved. Then move to step 3. --If there's something wrong, it'll be moved to the Waiting List with the reason it's unapproved. Fix it and then PM me to recheck it. Once it's moved back to the Biography Bastion, you can move to step 3.
3. Post in the Sorting Hat. You can choose from one of the following: -Student at Trio's Hogwarts (get sorted into 1 of 5 houses for your basic magical education. Ages 13-18) -Shopkeeper (Own your own shop in Trio's Alley, Hogsmeade or somewhere around the Wizarding World) -Job (Ministry, St. Mungo's or somewhere else) -Staff at Trio's Hogwarts
{{If you want to be a Book Character or a Scrap Character, you start at Step 3}}
4. Set up an account at Gringotts, Make a Journal, etc... Anything necessary to get your character established in his or her life. The world is your oyster.
5. Have fun role-playing.
Optional things to be aware of:
1. Celebrity Claim: This allows you to claim a celebrity as your character. Be warned, your celebrity claim can be challenged if you're inactive for more than a month without notification.
2. Corridor of Honors: Want a place to wind down and just chat with others on the site? This special area rewards loyalty and you can access this OOC only zone at 150 posts.
Other important notations:
1. For those at Trio's Hogwarts, get your house passwords from your HOH. If you've sent a request and haven't received a reply in a week, send me a quick owl and I'll get it to you. I usually sign in at least three times a week to check my owls at the least so you shouldn't wait too long.
2. Don't wait around for permission to do something. If it's not prohibited by common sense or the rules, go for it. If there's something wrong with it, one of the mods will let you know.
3. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask others (ie veterans- many have been here over a year-, staff or myself.) We're here to help you.
