Second and Third Years Lesson 1....

Cello walked into the classroom and breathed in deeply. It was good to be back in the classroom after the break. Walking up to her desk, she sat down and opened her desk draw. Inside was a stack of papers that she had forgotten to take to her office at the end of last term. She took them out and set them down on the desk. Poking out of her bag was a long peacock feather quill whcih she withdrew and started marking the papers.

This took about 20 minutes to complete and she was glad when it was over. To Cello, teaching wasn't about the marking, it was about the students learning. The marking was just one of those things that had to be done. Sighing to herself, she turned around on her chair and pulled out her wand. With a quick flick, the lessons instructions appeared on the blackboard...

Welcome Second and Third years to your first lesson of potions. I have decided to do a mixed class this lesson so you can all get to know eachother a bit better and we can brew a potion instead of asking questions. Ok so to start off I am going to have you brew a Calming Draught. This is the perfect potion for you to brew as it is simple yet it requires concentration and determination.
When you enter the room please sit down at your desks and take out the following ingredients...

1 Bezoar
1 Caterpillar
2 grams of Bundimun
Daisy Roots
1 Flobberworm
2 Ounces of Rat Spleen.

Set up a standard size 2 Pewter Cauldron and await further instructions. The instructions for the making of the potion will be given when the students have arrived.

Happy qith these instructions, Cello sat and stared at the door, waiting for the students to arrive.

Holy cow. First to class! Brendan felt rather odd, seeing as he was hardly the first. Nevertheless, he entered with a smile on his face, and slipped into a seat somewhere in the middle. His book bag fell to the ground, as he recounted what lessons he had later. History of Magic. Yes, that was it. No wonder his bag was heavy. A sigh escaped his lips, as he set up his cauldron, following what the TA had written.

A combined lesson ne? He didn't know many of the Second Years actually, more friendly in terms of the Third Years. He looked forward to seeing Liyah, who was basically there every Potions Lesson, and never failed to complain on how disgusting the ingredients were. He could sense a bit of dislike for the TA, but other than that, when was Bren ever good at reading expressions and emotions?

He took down the list of ingredients that was on the board, before promptly storing his notebook away. Potions - he did okay in this class, best at theory. If anything, Brendan had a good memory when it came to remembering stuff. It was as though once he had seen it, he could remember it. Albeit the weird, but still. Leaning back into his seat, he waited for the TA to finally start class.

He was eager to work on his potion.

Gyminee had started the first lesson of all her classes last week except for Potions. Gyminee was glad Potions was starting again. She liked most of her classes, she doesn't know if all, but she knew she liked Potions. Gyminee knew that this year it will be the same TA as last year which she was glad of. Most of her classes she noticed that there were new professors and TA's. But in Potions, it was the one she had last year. Knowing that she will find a familiar face when she entered the classroom was very warming. When there are new ones, it tends to be a mystery. Mysteries are fun to solve, but at time takes time. Patience was not a problem for Gyminee, but its easier to already know them. Mysteries are okay for new students or just ones Gyminee doesn't know.

She walked to the Potions classroom, glad to see that she was right that the teacher would be the same person. When she entered, she was glad she wasn't late. That was something Gyminee hated for herself to do. Tardiness was not the way to go. When she entered she noticed one other person there. It was someone who Gyminee did not know, but someone she noticed in her other classes. Gyminee looked at the board and did exactly what was told.

Potions. Finally, a class where Dezi was not late. In fact, he was a tad bit early! Walking in the room, he saw only two students inside, plus the Teacher Assistant. Neither of which he knew, so he just took an empty seat towards the back of the classroom. Reading what was on the board, he took out his notebook and a pen. Luckily, Ms. Evans allowed them to use their notebooks, other than Ms. Lupin. He rolled his eyes just thinking about it. A student should be able to write notes if they choose. She may think it's more efficient to learn without writing notes, but some people learned better by writing them. Like himself.

So, he scribbled down what was on the board:

Satisfied, he waited, wondering if they'd have to kill the caterpillar. Why was it that most ingredients in Potions class were gross?

Kera walked into the potions classroom, and took a seat near the back of the room. The first thing she did was read what was written on the board. So, this was going to be a mixed class with 2nd and 3rd years. It didn't really bother her, after all she still didn't know many people in the school yet. Hopefully during this term she'd be able to make some friends.

Looking around the room, she realized there were only two other students in the room with her. She then proceeded to set up her cauldron, and then waited for the T.A to begin class.

Ally strode into the potions classroom. "Hey Ms. Evans. How are you doing tonight?" Smiling. Ally sat down and pulled out her books. Getting the ingredients she placed them on the table. Waiting for class to begin. It had been a ruff week for Ally. Sighing she smiled. Her very most favorite teacher was her teacher! Exciting isnt it? She loved it.

Tra la la. Bella walked to the Potions classroom. She is happy today because she feels like being happy but Bella didn't go skipping like usual. Bella is just in the walking mood today so that's why she went walking to class. Even if her twin brother is no longer with her, she had heard from him that he's doing fine in his new school. She misses him still though.

For today's lesson, Bella found out that they would be doing Calming Draught Potion. It has been a long time since Bella had made potions. It was probably last term that she did but not like the rest of the people in class.

Potions; one of Vivian's favorite classes. Her challenged her immensely and it was incredibly useful. Those were two of the major reasons why she adored the class so much. She walked into the room and took a seat in the first empty desk that she spotted. She then retrieved all the items that she would need for the lesson from her black messenger bag, and turned her attention to the professor.

[Oshuna "Meme" Wills]

Oshuna was starting to run late to her classes today.After just getting back form, the school break.She knew she had to go, back to classes for the term.The second class on her schedule, was Transfiguration..One of the subjects she like, and was interesting to her.Oshuna walked down the hallway, to her first class.Once she reached the classroom, she opened the door and walked in.See that the T.A was there already.of course.But there was also a few other students, and the lesson had already started..Oshuna walked in and took a seat that was, open in the door. She sat down then got out, a few things she would need, for class.After she was done, she started to write a few notes, that was already on the board.

Once Oshuna was done writing down, the ingredients, she would need for her potion.She then started to get everything set up for the lesson.She then got out the items she would, need.Then she started to set up her cauldron, for the lesson.When she was done, Meme waited for instructions.

Ashley walked down the hallway with a smile on her face. This would get to be her first Potions class. And she was very excited about it. Potions always seemed like a very fun class to Ash. She walked up to the door opened it and entered.

Once she was inside she looked at all of the other students reading the ingredients on the board. Ashley walked over to an open seat and sat down starting to get the following ingredients on the board.

2 Ounces of Rat Spleen.

Once she was done with that she waited for class to begin.

Aiden walked down to the potions class room. It was the first lesson for potions and he was curious at what they would be making today. He walked into the class and noticed there was a few people there already. He sat down at a desk in the middle and pulled out his notebook from his messenger bag. He pulled out a pen and wrote down everything that was on the board. Then he pulled out the cauldron he needed. He set his bag down on the table and walked over to get the ingredients he needed.

He carried all of his ingredients back to his table and waited for further instruction.

Brayden walked into the Potions classroom for the first time this term. As it said on the board, they were going to be making a potion already. Brayden found himself a seat, and got a cauldron out. He then scribbled out the ingredients on a piece of parchment, and waited for the instructions.

Josie walked in to the classroom fairly excited, she loved potions, she hadn't ever taken an actual class but her Brothers had told her all about them and when their father had left them home alone they had taught her a few simple Potions, she loved how you had to give all your concentration to the task as the simplest and tiniest mistake could turn a harmless potion in to a deadly one. It was quite exciting really.

Potions was the only class Josie found she could actually concentrate fully. It was the only class she never lost focus. She wasn't sure why but there it was.

She picked a seat at random and started following the instructions she read on the board immediately, eager to get started. When she had everything sorted in front of her she spared a moment to glance around the class she didn't really know anyone but there was some familiar faces.

Turning her attention back to her desk she decided to copy down the noted on the board, for future reference, it couldn't hurt and it was something to do while she waited for the lesson to start.

Pierce sighed loudly as he stepped into the potions classroom. He didn't want to be there and it was quite obvious. There was no use in hiding it, he didn't like the T.A., he didn't like how she taught, and he quite simply just didn't feel like listening to her irritating voice. It was almost as bad as Greggory, but at least he'd been fired. It was only a matter of time before this dunce went as well.

Walking to one of the stations, Pierce looked to the board, then to the T.A. to see her sitting there staring at the door. She just looked so stupid sitting there staring. It was weird. "You're still here, hm?" he said rhetorically. He started to set up his station, retrieving the necessary ingredients that the woman put on the board. He didn't want to be here. He'd rather be sleeping in his bed, or with Missus Pebbles.

He couldn't help himself from the comment, and really didn't feel bad about it at all, even though it was very rude. Maybe it was Aaryn influencing him. He'd actually brought a piece of gum just for the hell of it. Taking it from his pocket, he slipped it into his mouth and began chewing. He wondered if the T.A. would notice and do the same to him as she did to Aaryn. So Pierce was an instigator, was that so bad?

"Ugh. Potions."

Those were the two words that came out of Aaliyah's mouth as she came into class. Sure she was on time. Sure she was here [unwillingly]. However, this would not make things any better. Wearing a hood over her face, Liyah slowly dragged her butt into class. Looking around at all her classmates, Liyah suddenly wondered why Troy and Sabra had not been recently taking classes. In fact, she had not seen them in quite a while. Could it be that they had decided to leave the school? If that was so, Liyah was losing a good chunk of friends. Well, she'd just have to make more.

Seeing someone sitting in the back of the classrom [Dezi]. He was taking notes, but she decided to sit near him anyway. Placing her bag on the desk and smiling at him, Liyah asked softly. "Hey. You don't mind if I sit here do ya?" Suddenly, she was glad to be in this class. At least it would give her something to do.

Lets go to class. She told herself with a roll of her eyes. Slinging her bag over her shoulders, the Mihael girl made her way down to the Potions class. Well this wasn't one of her first choices for a class. But then again, not many things we're. Kel was a simple girl who loved Transfiguration.

Opening the wooden doors, she found the room full. Of cource full with all the wrong people. None of the people around her, really she didn't know nor did she need to. Keladry took a seat, in the back of the room, and sat silently to herself.

With his hair a mess and his clothes wrinkled, Seventru Gage made his way into his Potions classroom. Obvioulsy he had just woken up...but that was an understatement. About thirty seconds ago, Sev bolted out of bed realizing that he was going to be late if he did not get a move on. Throwing on dirty clothes and grabbing his books, Sev sprinted out of the Ravenclaw tower and down to his classroom. Luckily he had made it on time and took the chance to breathe. Leaning forward to catch his breath, Sev glanced up at everyone else who was in the classroom. Then, standing up straighter, he found himself a seat.

Brady made his way to Potions. He wore his usualy style of clothes. A black plain t shirt with tight black jeans on. He had on his black vans too. He opened the door and walked inside He wasn't the first one there, no surprise, but he wasn't late either. He took a seat in the middle of the room and looked around. He got his things organised and waited and looked around some more. He knew quite a few people from before and his other classes.

He wondered when class was going to begin. He took a peck at the board and got up. Apparently he hd to get some things. He walked over and picked them up and walked back to his seat and sat down with the ingrediants infront of him and he stared around into space....

Hannah walked into the Potions class. Walking straight to the back she found a seat. Once she got her notebook and pen out she began to take down the notes on the board. She got the ingredients that she would need and set them on her desk. Then she got out her cauldron and set it up. Sighing she looked around the room has she waited.

Dezi was quite bored, now that he was done writing down the ingredients and all that was on the board. The Teacher Assistant was just sitting there, staring. Not even doing anything anymore. Was she going to start class soon, or what? Occupying himself by looking around as people entered the room, he spotted no one he knew. Of course not, because he didn't really know anyone in the first place. That depressed him to no end, feeling as though he had no friends. It would depress anyone, of course.

A girl came over to him though, and she kind of looked familiar for some reason. Spotting the house crest on her uniform, he decided that she probably looked familiar because he'd seen her at the Mihael table or in the common room or something. Smiling a bit and feeling less crummy, he said, "'Course I don't mind. How are you? I'm Dezi, by the way."
