Lucian walks into the classroom eager to start his make up history of magic lesson, and at the same time he is nervous on how the teacher will react to him having missed the first couple of lessons.
Lucian takes a seat, "Umm Hello, I was just hoping to get caught up Professor Thomas."
It seemed in the past few days his office has got busy. Normally its boring and no one comes to see me. The other TA's seem to be jealous becuase I'm the one who gets the most visits! It seems that this office time really does help. Looking up at his third visit today from a student, it was Lucian, one of the new students. Smiling as he approached he became "happier" inside his body when he wanted to review what we went over in class.
"Sure Lucian, and I understand why you missed the first lesson. You got to school late, no worries." He replied pointing to the empty chair in the front of his desk in the office. Looking around there was only one other TA in the large office, he decided that she would not be bothered by his review.
"Well the first thing that you need to know is that we are studying Ancient Egypt this year. At the start of this time period there were only witches, girls who could do magic, and there were no wizards. Could you give me a reason why that might be? Just take a guess." He said with a smile.
Joshua was almost stunned that he got the answer. In the class a Ravenclaw answered the questoin he believed. "Very good!" he replied. "You also need to know that Ancient Egypt ran from 3200-2270 BC, make sure to write it down." He explained and handed him a quill and parchment.
"The males where all squibs, which means they are a Muggle born or married to a magical person. However, the reason they where not made into a wizard was becuase there was believed to be a curse on the spell. Have any idea what that spell was called?" He asked.
"Very good Lucian, must of read some over the summer?" Joshua asked. He was rather surprised that he new so much at a young age. Looking back over his class notes Joshua started, ""Now, the magical spell was called The Magical Transfer Spell like you said. We will talk more about that in a different lesson." He explained.
"Time for a review! With a few more minutes until you need to go off to bed I will talk what we learned. Then you will need to do a work sheet before you leave and the quiz. First thing, Ancient Egypt ran from 3200-2270 BC. The Romans took them over around 2270 BC. There where only witches during the first time. And of course, males who were born into magical families were called squibs. Not to much informatoin to remember?" Joshua asked, standing up he got the worksheet and the quiz and handed it to Lucian. "Won't take but a few minutes to do those two. Good luck you may leave when you finish."
(OOC: Owl them to me when you are done.)
