The Trail of the Dead [Open]

Emma absentmindedly was wandering through the Forbidden Forest on some of the lost trails. Not really paying any attention to where she was going. Thoughts about her dead daddy were churning through her mind, making everything slightly fuzzy. It had only happened about a month ago, a few weeks before she had gotten her letter for Trio's Hogwarts, before she had known she had any magical ability at all.

Her heart was begging her to go back to the memory of her dad, to just remember his face, a voice maybe. But her mind refused. She didn't want to reopen an already aching wound.

She stopped walking and leaned against a tree, letting herself slide down until she was sitting on the moist earth. Her eyes stared straight ahead, not seeing anything, lost in memories...

Ugh everything was overflowing in Ashley Tapping's head. Things were happening everywhere. She was angry at her family for not talking to her. Then there was the whole thing about first years getting together after one meeting. It was rediculas! They would just meet and then ten minutes later they would be together. Ashley hated that. And she thought that it was the stupidest thing ever. And she knew from experience. it happened to her and her very good friend Maxwell Ryans. they had just met in the lake and then a little while later he asked her out. She had turned him down becuase they had just met. And she wanted to get to know him. She thought that it would be perfectly okay if it didn't happen right away. At the first meeting and everything. Like maybe after you have gotton to know eachother really well. Then you can start. That is why after they got to know eachother a little bit better she went out for like a day but then felt like that as well was going to fast. Now they were just friends an dhe had a different girlfriend.

But Ashley just didn't like the idea of First years coming to hogwarts and thinking right away, 'Wow everythign here is about dating i better go get a boyfriend/girlfriend.' I mean that wasn't the reason while they were here was it? No it wasn't they were here to learn and to make great friends. But they dind't neccisarly have to fall in love with the first person that they meet. Well anyways these were just the thoughts that were in the young Ashley Tapping.

She needed somwhere were she could just get a way for a bit. She really didn't want to talk to anybody that she knew at the moment. Maybe meet someone different. Yes someone different sounded great to her. She walked down a path in the Forbidden Forest lost in her mind. She really wansn't paying attention to anything. Which was really sorta stupid of her because the forest was supposily very dangerous and she shoudl have her wand out and looking around. No her wand was in her pocket just sitting there collecting dust.

After a while she finally got pulled back to earth. She started looking around. She had been in there since 2:00 and Ashley had forgotton her watch so she really didn't know what time it was. I know what you are thinking. What culd she possibly do for that long of time. It was pretty simple all she had been doing was thinking. About anything! She looked around and saw a girl sitting on the ground. She decided to walk over to her and talk. She strolled over to her and said, "Hi... What are you doing out here?"
