Slytherin Quidditch Team Try-Outs

Xiomara had been lost somewhere in this world, so basically it was time to take up the plate. Alexander simply walked towards the quidditch pitch wearing his quidditch robes. He didn't felt no need for a quill or parchment simply becuase Alexander knew would be ideal for the job. All he needed to look for was just quality from their appareance and so forth, if you understand. Hopefully of course, Xiomara would approve his selections, if not then, well there would be more try-outs to be held right?

As Co-Captain, no Alexander wasn't co-captain becuase there isn't, Alexander had posted a notice up in the boards. Filling his lungs with the fresh air, with a scent of fresh cut grass was soothing for Alexander. Biting his lips, he sat down by a near bench, awaiting for the current players who would most likely show up and well the newbies.

Bringing his sleeves up, Alexander crossed his arms, his legs as well, closing his eyes and hummed softly to himself. A broom would be zooming soon enough and Alexander would know he had company...

But Alexander felt something wrong in this. He just didnt' feel right acting like such, but the team was something he loved, and well slytherin was in need of new players right now. The old players well never appeared to practice and if they would like their positions once more, in Alexander's eyes they'd have to come and prove themselves in Alexander's pleasure. He wasn't going to let anyone foolishly come into the pitch, threatning Nathaniel again, well that had happened at Breakfast but whatever.

With a sigh, he raised his pierced eyebrow, hearing a distant broom, heading towards the pitch.

[OOC: Ok, Ash I had to do this, Lil's made meh too, and Bran um, I apparently you would have been okay with this in Danneh's eyes...so I just made myself 'co-captain' meanwhile...Sorry if anyone disagrees with this, I didn't want anyone to like get mad or anything but we seriously needed someoe here holding the try-outs and well the meeting for captains...]

Blair, with his Firebolt tucked under his arm, was heading toward the Quidditch Pitch for tryouts. Just an hour earlier he finally caught sight of the notice for Quidditch tryouts. He has been waiting many years to make his house team and knowing his Quidditch skill he probably will (Him being arrogant).
He was nearing the edge of the pitch when he saw up ahead an older Slytherin, from the looks of thing he was in his 7th year.
"Hey man" called out Blair, "I'm here for tryouts!"

Nathaniel had been strolling around the school grounds, getting a better feel of the place once again. He wore work out clothes, only because he had previously been running around to get back into shape. After break, he felt a tad bit weak, but with the help of the house elves making food and serving him, he was beginning to regain his strength back again.

As he was passing by the pitch, he noticed Alexander there and another student he had never seen before. He could recall who Alexander is because he aided him in his dire need last term. Images constantly flashed in his mind from day to day, even in his dreams. At least he could remember names and faces, and his position. So he sprinted on over to the pitch.

There was no need for Nathaniel to summon his broom since it was in the broom shed along with his Slytherin Quidditch attire. Approaching both Alexander and the other boy, he smiled radiantly, which had never shown in ages. "Hey there. Looks like another term and another try-outs session." Which of course brought back his memory of first term and tryouts for him. But he wondered where Xiomara was.

[[OOC: Nah, I don't mind. Plus, Ash is busy with two jobs at the moment and barely has time to come on. She'll try though.]]

Max was in the dorm, grabbing a few last things. She had her Slytherin school robes on and her broom in her hand. She walked out of the Dorm, through the common room and up the stairs out of the dungeon. She got to the grounds and headed towards the Quidditch Pitch. It was the day for Slytherin Tryouts. She had been waiting a long time for it, and since the other houses had already had their tryouts, it was Slytherin's turn. She got to the Pitch and saw three others. She couldn't tell who was captain but two already had uniforms. The other boy seemed to be new, maybe a First year. She approacheed them at a steady pace. "Hi, I'm here for tryouts." she said.

Great! A notice had been placed up in the slytherin common room about the quidditch team holding a try-out. This was a perfect opportunity for Ethan Ann, the great demonic boy that would rip everyone into pieces. "Muahahahaha!" Ethan laughed off evily, glaring at each other person who stared at him hard. Only, if only he knew some useful spell that would cause all these snobs to keep their eyes closed and well, something that should be place here...

Point is, Ethan began walking towards the pitch, taking his broom which he gladly used from home. The one that always brought him to salvation when he had pulled a prank on Patrick. Oh the memories from the past tasted ever so good. Would've been better if only his dear old sister had helped him, well of course that would've happened only if she would've been there. But no point in getting sad now, since hopefully he'll be seeing her at the pitch soon enough.

Skipping through the grounds, near the pitch now, Ethan started doing kart-wheels. Why? He was bored, don't you ever question him alright, he's just a little kid. With a wave of drowsyness, Ethan walked clumsily to the group of, well around three groups of people that had been in the pitch talking. A boy was walking away from the group, heading towards the castle. Seemed to him it was a first year like himself.

Recognizing Alexander, Ethan simply smiled. "Good day, mate? I see dear Lily hasn't arrived from the clutches of good. Stupid teachers and their classes." Ethan nodded in depression, having remebered the last lesson he'd take at History of Magic. It was hard to keep himself awake. That White professor, boy does she need some spunk. And well Ethan was glad to do something about it.

Ok, so Alexander kinda confused the noise with what seemed to be walking. Look don't blame him alright, Alexander is still a ticking bomb...and yeah. Anyways, some was just arriving at the pitch. Not a great amount of people as Alex thought might've arrived but it was something wasn't it. Still biting his lip, Alexander opened his eyes and turned to see who was it that had been coming to try-out. A first year apparently, someone he'd never seen, but how many people hadn't Alexander seen that aren't first years. Many. Automatically Alexander didn't think the boy would fit for the team.

There's always some qualities you can see as someone comes to try-out for a position and well this kid didn't have anything good for the looks of it. Wtih a slight smile, Alexander just looked away to find himself looking at another boy now, arriving at the pitch. With great pleasure it had been the team's keeper, best one they've had besides Brandon. Alexander's heart lifted as the kid who had arrived first left the pitch. Alexander pretty much was suprised. It was sad, simply becuase well...let's just keep things simple. Too much to explain.

Alexander simply turned back to Nathaniel and smiled at him. Still with his arms crossed, Alexander got up, and began walking, having no intention of talking until he felt that it was good enough to hold try-outs. He was just awaiting for probably two people, becuase soon enough hopefully there will be people arriving later on.

And yes there were more people arriving, a girl and someone familiar to Alex. Ethan Ann, Lillian's little brother. That's righ the girl had a brother and when Alexander found out about it, it was like what teh fudge?! It was something that he'd need to look out for. Seriously, it was enough with Lillian but this kid was probably close enough or as much as dangerous as Lillian.

-Let's go to the point-

He looked over at the two who came to try-out. "Before anything, I want you two to give me three laps around the pitch, but there's instructions to what I want to see. Your first lap will have to demonstrate your velocity, so basically do your first lap as fast as you can." Alexander walked up and down in from of them, scratching his chin, looking down at the floor, and with one hand behind his back. "Your second would be the slowest possible lap you've ever made. And don't give me a face of 'What teh Fudge', there's a method to the madness. And last but not least, your last lap would be as you desire it to be. Fast, slow, medium pace, whatever, tricks are involved as well. Well now, I would start if I were you." With that said, Alexander walked over to Nathaniel. But first before Alex gave any word to Nathaniel, Alexander had to see these laps be performed.

"Oh my gawd." Cassandra shrieked at herself. "I'm late for his too?" she fell silent and reprimanded herself for stares were already turning on her and she didn't like stares. Running up to someone who appeared to be the captain, she gasped, "Sorry, sorry." Tucked under her arm was a Firebolt, and her lungs were like... squashed balloons. She listened to the instructions and kicked off the ground. First lap.

She flew around the pitch as fast as she possibly could, as told. The wind whipped her hair around her face, whistled in her ears. She pulled to a stop as she met the end of the lap. Reality came rushing back as she remembered what she had to do next. Go slow? Right, okay. She rose into the air and was careful not to make her broom go into 'fast mode'. She concentrated on controlling the speed of her broom, her brows coming together. It seemed like forever till she finished the lap, but, she had finished it. And the last lap. She could do tricks. At least, she thought she could. The fifteen year old bit her lip and rushed into an impressive array of tricks, consisting of spins, cartwheels, one handed flying, and once, almost falling off her broom. Oops. Brown eyes flickered over the 'captain' and she gently landed on the ground. The first year wondered how she had done.

[Lillian Ann]

Anyone who knows anything, should know Lillian was the show off of the team, at least when it came to insane tricks. Currently she stood on her broom, above the stadium watching the group with little interest.. They looked like bugs from here. at leasst, she didn't pay attention till her brother showed.. And then a girl... Who really... Should stick with doing what they tell you. Not tricks.

Tipping her right foot further down the broom she allowed herself to go downwards slightly, before leveling with just below the top of the stadium. From here she grasped her broom with two hands and allowed her body to drop off, as she lowered even further, though making sure now that she was near the group.. And then.. Letting go.

If there was one thing she loved... It was the rush one got from falling, so she was still giggling when she landed on her broom merely 2 feet from the ground. running a hand threw her hair, she stepped off, spinning slightly in place, the place yukata she wore spinning around her ankles.

"Hey Nathan. Newbies. Ethan"

The warm summer breeze swept across the lawns, the sun rising above the trees. A fallen girl, laying over tiny stones and twigs breathed slowly. Her blonde hair, which was much longer now, had fallen over her face and amongst the ground she lay on. Her sun-touched skin glittered in the little sunlight that peaked from the openings of the trees and finally the girl began to stir. A soft moan came from the girls lightly pink lips as she turned off her side and onto her back, with her sapphire orbs blinking open. She stared upward at the trees, blinking slowly, trying to recount wha t had went on before she had found herself asleep on the forbidden forest’s floor.

Three weeks prior, Xiomara Lang found herself tucked under her sheets, the window of the common room swimming with creatures as they scanned the lake. But then came a knock on the window. Xiomara had leapt up so quickly that she had nearly awoken the girls next to her, including Lils. Stepping closer, Xiomara saw nothing, that was until the thing that knocked swam very close to the window and pressed it’s ugly head against the glass. The creature had no message to relay to her. It was apparent that he only wanted to taunt her.

A couple days had passed after this incident. Xiomara had been walking along the edge of the lake, staring at the surface of the water, the sun sinking low beneath the horizon. Students slowly disappeared, going to have dinner in the great hall. There was a shimmer of silver coming from the edge of the lake a little ways from where she had stood, and peering closely she saw the creature that had been bothering her days before, hop out of the water and run across the grass toward the forest.

Xiomara ran fast after the thing,not exactly knowing why. But she thought for certain there must have been a reason for it’s behavior the other night. And when did you ever see a lake creature sprint into the forbidden forest? Something was obviously going down. Running deeper into the forest, Xiomara finally realized that the creature had disappeared. Bent over and panting, Xiomara clutched at her stomach. This was all just a waste of time. And now she had no idea where she was. Reaching into her pocket of her jeans, she had realized that her wand was now missing.
“Great..” She breathed. She was frustrated now. The sun was completely sunk beneath the horizon and the moonlight barely did much with the way the trees covered the sky. But before she could complain much longer, there came a crack of branches and suddenly Xiomara was surrounded in a liquid ball. She screamed, but her screams were muffled by the gel-like liquid. Looking around she could see maybe a hundred of those creatures that she had chased. It was a trap.

She stayed within the bubble for days, maybe even a week, before something changed. Finally she saw the creature, lone again, staring up at her as she hovered over him. He sent her a cruel smile, and then pushed his scaly finger into the bubble. The bubble was a bubble no longer. It gave a small pop, and suddenly it disappeared. It was gone, and Xiomara had fallen onto the ground below. Panting, Xiomara sat up, staring at the thing. She tried to speak but her voice was still not used to air as it once was.

The creature paced in front of her, looking her up and down.

“You are very important to a lot of creatures here in the forest, Lang Xiomara.”

Xiomara’s eyebrows furrowed. Lang Xiomara? Why had he said her name backwards? But she listened on.

“You have something most want.”

Xiomara continued to be confused, but finally found the voice to speak.

“Which is?”

The creature seemed to find pleasure in her answer, because after she had answered he gave a gleeful hop and smiled again, but not a happy smile.. more of a ‘I’m going to eat you’ smile.

“Herpo’s new soul is your friend?”

Xiomara’s eyes lingered over the thing which was un-named.

“E-excuse me? Who?”

The creature clapped his hands, stepping closer to her.

“The boy! Haake!” He said angrily, as though her confusion were annoying to him.

“Nathaniel?” She asked disbelievingly, “Yes. He’s my friend. Why?”

Again the creature became happy.

“Then you must be kept! He will come looking! And then we will take!”

Xiomara was horrified by the creatures expression and before he could move any part of his body, Xiomara launched herself up and ran. This time she ran as fast as her body would let her. The bubble had kept her satisfyed when it came to hunger, but her muscles needed some work. Nonetheless, she pushed forward, running through the trees.

Lost. She was lost now. Xiomara stopped, breathing roughly as she took a look at her surroundings. She felt dizzy, sick, and she felt that she could probably just lay down and die right about now. She needed to get back to the castle. She needed to make sure that Nathaniel didn’t go looking for her. Why would they want him anyway? And who was Herpo? It didn’t make any sense.

Xiomara lingered around the forest for days on end, looking for anything that seemed familiar. She had finally found her wand, and used it to provide herself light when it became to dark. She fed herself on berries and mushrooms and drank water from the streams that she fell upon. Then one night when the moon was glittering overhead, she saw something in the sky and she heard noises. And walking quickly she could hear the voices of students.

Xiomara hurried forward, happy to have finally reached home. But just as she almost reached the students, one of them screamed, and probably thinking she was an attacking creature, stunned her. Xiomara fell, face forward on the ground and the students ran from the forest, not even checking what or who they had stunned.

And there Xiomara had awoken, staring up at the sky. She moaned again, pushing herself off of the ground. She had landed in an awkward position and it had made the fall even more painful, so she had to walk semi-slowly. Finally reaching the edge of the forest, Xiomara peered across the grounds, shading her eyes from the sun. Her eyes lingered over the pitch where Slytherins were swooping around doing laps. She was sure she’d find Nathaniel there.

So hurrying, Xiomara went. Her eyes set upon Alexander, who apparently had taken charge of quidditch during her absense. She smiled hardly a smile, it was fine that he took it over. Afterall, he was the one who deserved to be co-captain. It was his last year! Xiomara looked dirty. Her jeans were covered in dirt streaks and grass stains and her hair had twigs sticking out of it which she hadn’t noticed before. She walked forward toward Alex and sighed.

“Carry on, carry on.”

Her eyes fell upon Nathaniel finally.

“I need to speak to Nathaniel. It should only take a moment or so. And then you can continue.”

Alexander's command were immediate in Ethan's mind. With a jump on his cozy, beloved broom Ethan began his first lap and ended his first lap. Yeah, it was like just an instant, the blink of an eye. Could you imagine that! Ok, so it probably took him around forty-five seconds to get around the whole pitch, but that was good enough eh? Well at least that's what we think, it's all on Alexander's decision. Next was the slowest lap Ethan might've made in his life and with this he was going to exagerrate.

Would that be good enough though? Well, let's see Ethan could take around three hours to the max, flying around the pitch but no one was going to wait for him. So Ethan thought about it for a while, as he slowly moved on, the key to this madness, as Alexander place it. -Flash- This is the moment when the light bulb on top of your head blinks to from off to on. Ethan thought of something. The point to this second lap must be that well, that you have to be consistent. Not speeding up neither slowing down, just consistent. With that in mind, Ethan just sat on his broom looking down at the pitch, watching someone else arrive, kicking off, and passing him instantly.

Of course dear Ethan was tempted, but he had to show that he was good for the team. Right? Eh? So he kept on, watching someone else arrive, and it looked like it was the captain of the team, who Lillian had- Lillian when did she get there? Was it probably the fact that he took immediate action not noticing anything at all. This saddened him a bit. He probably made his big sister sad as well. But this still couldn't keep him from being consistent.

Three-fourths through his lap, Ethan was already miserably tired and anxious to begin his third one. He didn't plan on doing anything fancy. It's not necessary, just showing that your a good flyer is good enough. Finally, he just whirled around now, on his third lap. Letting go, hand free. Crossing his arm, he went around the pitch, looking at his hands. Cleaning his nails really, seeing if they were perfect. Biting them and checking. Jumping of his broom, he looked at Alex and then to the captain. Shrugging he turned to the bench and sat down.

Nathaniel was excited for these tryouts. He watched momentarily as Alexander gave instructions to the two Slytherins who showed up for the open positions. One seemed too confident in herself to speed around the pitch. While the other, realizing that there was an odd connection between him and Alexander, happened to turn out as Lillian's brother. o.O

After awhile, watching both fly around, he spotted a familiar speck in the sky. It just so happened to be Lillian as she made her way toward the ground, stepping off her broom and doing some sort of spin. He smiled briefly with a wave. "Hi Lillian." Hands pocketed in his work out pants, he took a seat on the ground, waiting for Alexander to say anything else for the newbies to do.

However, to his shock and surprise, he sees Xiomara walk up out of no where. And boy did she look like hell too. Hair all messed up with foliage and twigs, as well as her jeans and shirt torn and dirtied up. He looked to her, standing up quickly in his spot, and nodded his head. "Um, sure." He knew it must have been important by the sound of her voice, so he stepped away from the others along with Xiomara. "What's up?"

Xiomara looked on toward the others as she waiting for Nathaniel to come along with her. So many questions needed to be asked, and so much more to explain. Turning away from Alex’s stare, Xiomara nodded to Nathaniel as he took up on her offer. And walking away from the group, she grabbed his arm and linked it with hers until they were a great deal away.

“Who’s Herpo?” Xiomara said flatly, turning to face him, her eyes very defiant on what she wanted. She felt somewhat angry at him. How could he not tell her something? Especially something that would put her in danger! Even if he didn’t know that she’d have to deal with it, he should have confided in her what was going on.

She stood there, trying to look as though she were as strong as she always was, but the truth was she felt like collapsing against the ground. She could hardly stand, but she maintained to suppress her knees from wobbling and kept them nearly buckled.

It came as a shock for Nathaniel to hear Herpo's name come from her lips. After he regained most of his memory back since the summer session and ritual which Brandon and Sarah had taken place, he swallowed hard and his face turned grave. The memories flashing back in his mind of the whole ritual taking place and how sickly fatigued he was last term.

"You know that curse you found out last term?" He murmured as he met her eyes with his royal blue ones. They were no more pale grey or dark circles under them. "Herpo is my curse. The dark wizard who swarmed in my soul and mind since I was born." Nathaniel never thought he would be explaining this to anyone, especially since it only effected him mainly. But very little to his friends.

Though something must have happened if she was questioning about Herpo. "He was the dark wizard who discovered, or made whatever, the first basilisk. Also a friend of Salazar Slytherin. And you can obviously tell why." Lips pursed to white thin slips, but he maintained his anger much easier than he had before when his mind was poisoned from Herpo.

"I'm Herpo's descendant. And for centuries he's been trying to infiltrate the first born son of his line in each generation. It is even worse if your grandparents curse you." A heavy sigh heaved from his chest. There were a lot of skeletal bones coming out of the closet. And he swore he wouldn't tell anyone, not even his closest friends. But what could he do now? Especially since he was free from the grasps of Herpo?

"He would have been powerful, too powerful, if he took over me. Last term... when.. I wasn't myself. It was because of him. I nearly lost my life during summer break. He was the cause of my violent outbursts and psychotic behavior. Constantly barading me in my mind and trying to take over. He needed a young body, and he needed me."

For a moment, he looked over his shoulder to see if anyone else was paying attention to the two. Luckily all of them were busy with the try outs. Looking back at Xiomara, he scratced the side of his head and lowered his voice this time. "I was gone. And the ritual to clear my soul of him happened. I died probably for a few minutes, but I was there, just watching my drowned body in Loch Ness being pulled out by Brandon."

Dead. He was partial to it. More like in limbo. But Nathaniel couldn't tell where he had gone, but only that Griselda was there to comfort him. "I was brought back to life by Sarah, and Herpo... he was taken away by Griselda, his wife, a ghost now. My great great great.. something great grandmother. Herpo isn't around anymore, and never shall he be in the future either. But the price I had to pay was that I lost my memory, and since then I have been in the Hospital Ward taking all these memory potions to regain everything in my mind."

Nathaniel slouched a bit to face Xiomara. "I'm sorry if I didn't tell you, I haven't really told anyone. And only very... very few knew about Herpo. If they knew that I contained the dark wizard, my life and anyone else who knew would be in danger. And if I hadn't gotten rid of him, like I did over the break, who knows who I would be. Who knows if I would still be alive, for it would be up to Sarah and Brandon to kill me so that Herpo cannot come into this world."

Xiomara’s eyes followed his lips, his expressions, as he went on and she herself held the expression of complete disbelief. How could he keep something so big from her? Was she just not good enough to know? Or maybe he was afraid that if she knew too much, something like this would happen. As he went on, so many blanks were filled. She recalled the time something had been bothering him.. and how she had somehow known part of it. She still wasn’t sure why she knew what she had.

Finally he finished, apologizing for keeping her in the dark and reassuring her that he did it to keep her and everyone else he loved out of danger. But he hadn’t known that danger was still amongst them, even if he did rid himself of this… this evil. And then he mentioned dying. He could have died, without telling Xiomara and that fact hurt her deeply. If Nathaniel had just died, well, Xiomara wouldn’t know what to do, and surely she’d have left Hogwarts.

“I know you meant well Nathaniel… It’s just, well… It’s not important anymore. I’ll let you get back to practice.” She smiled slightly, brushing back her dirty hair. “I’m going to go get cleaned up… Maybe we can talk more about this later? Say... at the garden?”

Leaning forward, Xiomara wrapped her arms lovingly around her friend and then whispered into his ear, “Just meet me there okay?” And then falling back to where she was, she smiled once more and headed off toward the castle without saying another word.

[Horace Slughorn]

I strode down the path in my emerald green robes, my wand by my side as I walked down to the Quidditch Pitch. I was glad of the nice weather, and I would get to see my House train and try-out. As I neared the pitch I noticed the team captain head for the castle. "It is only just started!" I said to myself before quickening my pace at the site.

I managed to go through the archway and found myself at one end of the pitch. I walked over to where the team were all standing. "Would someone like to explain what is going on?" I asked, and hoped someone would explain why the captain was now missing in action.

It looked like Xiomara was holding back on something, which Nathaniel could sense, but he didn't say anything about it. She seemed to just brush it aside. "You sure?" He questioned, but nodded his head at their plan to meet in the garden. "Sure then. I'll see you there once we get these try-outs done with and clean up from the practice." He grins.

Hugging her in return he furrowed his brows thoughtfuly. "Yeah." He nodded his head again and watched as she scampered off to clean up. Nathaniel turned on his heal and returned next to Alexander's side to watch the other Slytherin's try out for the team. It wasn't until their Head of House approached, that Nathaniel looked up at him quizzically.

"What do you mean Professor Slughorn?" Nathaniel questioned. "We're holding try-outs here. Xiomara just went to get tidied up since she looked like nature took a toll on her.".

[Horace Slughorn]

I sighed. It seemed strange to have try-outs without the Captain, but if she was going to get changed then I would have to agree. "That's fine, but remember you cannot make decisions until the Captain get's here. I'm just here to see how you are getting on" I said and looked at the team as a small note whizzed through the air and landed in front of me.

I took the note from my hand and read the note in Hermione's writing. She sounds worried. I said. "I will have to go, goodluck" I said and turned on my heal, walking back to the castle.

Yes, Alexander was out in the open, actually paying some attention to what was happening. First lets talk about the players trying out. Well the girl who came out of no where wasn't that bad. Surely the team would agree as well, but she could've done way better. What else is there to say? Ethan, was indeed great, but he could've been a bit more spicy with his last lap. There wasn't much touch to it. Basically this was a hard decision.

Now Xiomara appearing was like, uh, what teh fudge happened to you? The captain appeared out of no where, simply having the need to talk to Nathaniel. Good. Something he prefers hearing, then actually seeing them apart like ignorant love birds. But besides that, Xiomara approved of Alexander's actions apparently. So this made Alex feel better and secure. Great ain't it? With Xiomara here, there was no need for him to have Nathaniel help on the decision for who stays on the team.

As soon as Alexander was going to say something, Xiomara simply left. He didn't blame her, the girl was a mess! But either way, what was even more suprising to this was seeing Professor Slughorn appear out of thin air. Did he like apparate? He listened quietly, as his last words in which Alexander stuck on were 'That's fine, but remember you cannot make decisions until the Captain get's here'. Then seeing him leave with urgency made Alexander just stand in shock.

"What! That's why there's a co-captain, Slughorn!" He called out. [Sounds like I'm bragging XD] This was lame. Xiomara had trust in Alexander, and surely she wouldn't mind Alexander deciding who to have on the team. Alexander simply cursed under his breath, tightning his arms more, since they were still crossed. Rolling his eyes, he called out, "Both of you, what positions are you going for? Wait, before anything there's been a change in the roster. There's one chaser postions left, a beater, and one seeker. I recommend you Ethan as a seeker. Now you, what's your name, and position?"

That's right, Alexander Black was once again, chaser for his last year resigning as seeker. Why? Simply becuase it'd be best for the team. "Now hurry, so we can start!" Someone was a little mad.

Max had been watching as much as she could catch on to, but many of the people on the pitch she didn't know. She felt a bit out of place but she was at least going to try. The person who seemed to be in charge, a young man around her age, was shouting off orders. She guessed that he was talking to her and someone else.

Max stepped up to give it a shot. "I'm Max Gaydge and I'm going for beater or chaser, whichever one I can get." she said steadily. She really wanted to be beater but the chaser position would be just as good. She stood as still as possible as to not show off her confusion. She didn't really look like she much but she used to play with her brother and his friends who were their school's best team. They taught her as much as they could. She hoped to be at least in the running. She waited patiently for her instructions.[/color]
