Fourth and Fifth Years, Class Two.

[Professor Carina Erikson]

After the adventure in the last class, Carina could only hope that things would go more smoothly this class. Hopefully, the results of the "Draught of War" would serve as a reminder to what could happen when one didn't follow the directions. Setting her bag down on her desk, Carina took a moment to pull a mirror from her bag.

Once again, another potion she had been experimenting on had exploded. And once again, her skin had been dyed green. She had tried everything to clean it off, just like the last time. And just like the last time, nothing had worked. Sighing, Carina wondered why this couldn't have happened right before one of her classes for lower years. She was still friends with several of the students in this class. She could just imagine what they would say.

Carina tapped her wand against the board, as usual.

Taking a seat at her desk, Carina waited for the students to arrive.

Time for another Potions class... Astrid thought as she entered the classroom. She didn't have anything against Potions, and she actually enjoyed the class because it presented her with a challenge. Astrid liked to be challenged, because it helped her to pass the time and actually made her think. She wasn't very fond of the classes that were incredibly easy for her because it only took her a few moments to complete every assignment, and it wasn't long before boredom had consumed her once again. She quickly took a seat at the first vacant desk that she spotted, and waited on other students to enter the classroom. She wondered if Conor, Benjo, and Angel would decide to attend the class that day.

[Angel Light]

Wanting to make it to at least three classes each this term, Angel headed down to the potions room. Not completely rested, she opened the door to the class room and hesitated slightly as she looked to see who else was in the room. The only other student was Astrid. Looking up to the board as well, she smiled seeing the wit sharpening potion on the board. That was what she needed at the moment.

Sitting down by Astrid, Angel did her best to smile. The slight awkwardness was to be expected, after all she was dating her ex, and if the grapevine could be trusted, Astrid and Conor were now a couple. "Hey, how're you?" Angel finally asked, hoping that the oddness of the situation could be ignored.

[Avery Moretti]

After exploding their Draught of War potion last lesson, Avery thought they should be super nice to Professor Erikson. That's why she made sure to come to class on time, something she wasn't getting very good at. So when she walked into the room and there were only two students there, she felt pretty accomplished. One girl, Astrid, she recognized, but not the other girl. Smiling at both of them and Carina, she took a seat in the middle of the room, getting out her notebook and writing down the name of the potion they'd be doing today and the ingredients.

A small chuckle escaped her lips. A Wit Sharpening Potion. Lord only knows that if they did that backwards it would be a Wit Diminishing Potion. They'd all get really stupid. So this time, they had to do it forwards so they could all be brilliant [and so they wouldn't get detention again.] Doodling on her paper, she waited for her class buddies to arrive; Jackson, Holden, and Levi.

After the adventures of his last potions lesson, Jackson wasn't going to do anything to upset Professor Erikson. He was going to show up early and do his potion the right way, because he was a good little boy. Entering the classroom he saw Avery and two others girl, once being Missus Astrid; he'd only met her once. Taking a seat by Avery, he smiled at Professor Erikson then gave his girlfriend a kiss on the cheek.

"Good morning, Lightbulb," he said, pulling out a piece of parchment and a quill; scribbling down the ingrediants for their Wit Sharpening potion. That would come in handy later on, he was sure of it.

Potions class. Another chance to blow things up. Walking into the class, Conor had every intention not to explode the classroom or people in it, considering it was a mixed class again. Joy. Time for the awkwardness to commence! He saw Astrid & Angel sitting by each other, and was rather glad nobody was killing anybody yet. Yet.

Sitting on the opposite side of Astrid, he pulled out a piece of parchment and wrote down the notes before glancing over at her. "Hey..."

Selene entered the class quietly, thinking she was late, like usual. Surprisingly, she was on time. Finally! She'd had some problems last time getting to classes, but she would make up for it this time. She took an open seat and copied down what was on the board with a huge grin on her face. She had forgotten how good it felt to be on time and not have to sneak in.

Feeling as though she had to go to the class, Demi walked down to potions by herself. Her sketch pad was in her hands, and her black messenger bag was filled with her supplies. Coming in, she only recognized the Hufflepuff, but because she was around other people, she kept walking. It wasn't until she sat down that she looked up at the board.

If she remembered right, it was one that the professor had mentioned last term. Putting her head in her hands, she tried to make it look like she was still tired as she tried to keep from letting tears fall. This was going to be the hardest class to get through yet.

Amanda was excited for her next lesson in Potions. She found it an eventful subject that she could enjoy. Last class they brewed, and hopefully today they would brew another potion. She left her Hufflepuff dorm, messenger bag over her shoulder, and went down the hallways and stairs. Passing several students on her way, she smiled and stopped before the potion's room.

She glanced inside, not seeing Nathaniel at first, and then looked behind her. "Pfft, typical." She rolls her eyes and finally enters into the classroom. She took a seat at the same table she had sat in before, leaving her messenger bag on the floor beside her. Glancing to the front, she noted the potion they would learn and probably brew today. "Oh, another interesting potion. Wicked."

Yet another lesson of potions to attend to. Luckily Nathaniel finished his last potion at the end of class, but hadn't the time to turn it into Carina. As he entered inside the doorway, he glanced at those present already. He smiled to see Amanda already at their table, and would have gone straight to her first, but handed in his bottle of potion to Carina first. "That's from last lesson."

He turned down the aisle and headed to Amanda's table, setting his bag on the floor next to his chair, and taking a seat next to her. "Hey." He murmured with a faint smile across his face. He looked to the board and today's lesson. "Wit-Sharpening?" His lips curl into a wider smile. "Sounds like something I need."

[Holden J. Caulfield]

Holden walked into his Potions Classroom. He was still a bit unwell since he had spent two long days in the Hospital Ward. The Hufflepuff sighed and walked over to where his friends were. Holden didn't know if they even wanted to sit by him anymore. If Holden knew Holden like he did, he wouldn't have anything to do with himself. Holden took out some parchment, a quill, and white ink. He didn't say anything to Jackson nor Avery. If they wanted to talk to him they would but he would remain silent as the grave a bit.[/size][/font]

Michelle made her way towards the potions classroom. She felt she had done fairly well during the last lesson, even though she knew she may have made a few small mistakes. As she arrived at the classroom, she walked in and took a seat near the back of the room. She read what was on the board and quickly wrote down what it said on a piece of parchment.

After she had finished writing the information down, Michelle gazed around the room for a few seconds and waited for class to begin.

It wasn't long before a Slytherin boy had sat down beside her and given her a kiss on the cheek. She smiled and gave him a sweet little one back, saying, "Hewwo, Microwave." Thank Merlin this was a split class. She loved Jackson to itsy bitsy pieces and when she had classes with him, it made them all so much better.

Then, Holden came in and sat with them, but he didn't say hi or anything like that. Just sat there writing down the ingredients. Maybe he was mad at them for being at the Hospital Ward with him; she knew he didn't want them to be there. But that's what best friends were for. Not knowing what to do, she cast Jackson a glance before finally saying, "Morning, Holden."

Smiling a little, she glanced over the ingredient list again and wrinkled up her nose, saying, "Ewww. Armadillo bile. Isn't bile the stuff that comes out of your gall bladder to break down stuff in your intestine? That's just... yuck."

The boy loved having Fourth and Fifth year split classes, because he got to be with his best friend and his girlfriend. They were much more interesting, especially if they were practicing a spell. Well, not so much anymore after the Defence Against the Dark Arts incident. He knew it made Holden feel really bad, and no matter how many times she told him that it was okay, that she wasn't dead, he kept saying that she could've died.

Appreciating the kiss on the cheek he smiled, dropping his quill on his paper after he'd written down the last ingrediant, which he'd scribbled 'ew' out to the side of. As Holden took a seat he shot a glance to Avery, then looked back to him. He spoke after Avery; "Hiyas Holdikiens." Sighing softly he looked back to the Mihael.

"Eww, sounds worse than 'dragon liver'," he said, recounting last lesson. 'Silly Jackson, you forgot the dragon liver.' Haaha. He glanced back up at the Professor, waiting for their instructions.

[Haley Gordon]

A Ravenclaw girl entered the room, hands clapsed to the strap of her bag as a sigh escaped her lips. Potions--she had missed the last class. Oh well, it could not be helped in all earnest. Haley Gordon will just have to deal with it and talk to the teacher to make it better.

Purple eyes flicked to the board where the potion came to view. Her nose wrinkled as she assessed the ingrediants. Potions were utterly disgusting. Useful, but digusting. A shudder when down her spine as she sat at a table close but not next to Amanda Larsen. The girl have been kind enough to help her in another class by partnering her up in a stupefy excercise. Under her breath, she greeted Holden, Avery, and Jackson under her breath before saying it outloud.

[Angel Light]

Giving Conor a slight smile of hello, someone that came in after him got Angel's concern. Watching the Mihael girl come in and basically sink into the place she choose, she had a choice to make. The first being to stick around and pray that Benji showed up, the second was to go over and see if she could be any help to her. Needless to say, the later was much more appealing.

"I'll be back." She told the two, but in her mind she added 'if Benji shows.' Walking over to the girl, Angel remembered her name as Demi or something unique like that. Sitting down, she put a had on her arm. "Are you alright?" She asked softly, trying not to completely surprise her. She looked familiar in the sense as they had met years before they came to Hogwarts, she just couldn't place the connection.

Sighing as her watch chimed that it was time to begin the class, Carina sighed happily. Seemed that her classes were going on a steady rate of being much better than last term. Well, might as well get started. Tapping her wand against the board.

Place cauldron on fire and preheat for 4 minutes.
Bring 2 liters of water to a rolling boil.
While waiting for the water to boil, grind 6 scarb beatles to a powder.
After water begins to boil, add the ground scarb beetles to cauldron.
Stir clockwise 3 times, counter clockwise 1 time, 3 time clockwise.
Lower heat under cauldron to a simmer.
Add 3 ounces of cut up ginger root.
Fold the mixture over twice.
Add the armadillo bile.
Allow to simmer for three minutes.
Bottle and bring to my desk.

Taking a moment to look over the class, Carina walked around and propped up on her desk. Eying the three "Draught of War" makers from last class, Carina tried to look as stern as possible. Which wasn't much. "And as for you three, try following the directions this time. I really don't want to see what a Wit Diminishing Potion might look like."

Eric got an owl at lunch from Tory and went up to his dorm to read it. He decided after reading it he would lay down for the thirty minutes before class and before he knew it he was asleep. Eric woke up when he heard a door slam somwhere in the tower he looked at his watch. Oh crap I am so late. Eric grabbed his bag and ran out of his dorm.

Eric made it to the dungeons in record time. Professor Erikson is gonna be so mad at him. Finally he was there he slowly opened the door and sat in the back hoping she did not see him. He looked at the board and went and got the ingredients he needed for the potion. Eric decided to catch his breath before he tried to make the Wit Sharpening Potion.

[Holden J. Caulfield]

Holden looked to Avery and Jackson. Oh so they were going to talk to him. Shweat. He smiled a bit feeling like his old self again. "Hey guys." He noticed Haley walking into the room, his Twilight buddie. She seemed the only one who would love to have Jacob Black killed in the series by Stephanie Meyer. Holden turned around to face her.

"Did you read Eclipse yet? I still think Jake should die. He was really cruel to Bella and Edward. They're making a movie of it. Emily Browning is going to be Bella. I think they got the right choice somewhat. But there is no one better to play Bella."

The fourth year continued to look at Haley. Holden turned around after talking to Haley a bit and got out some parchment. He wrote down the rest of the notes since he would find them useful.

How to Make it:

Hearing someone come over to her, Demi sighed. Pulling her head up, she smiled to the girl she knew, Angel, she believed her name to be. "Yeah, I'm fine." She lied easily, smile and all. It wasn't that she didn't trust Angel, it was just that the lesson was going to be hard enough without explaining it to someone.

Setting up her cauldron with a slight smile, even though she knew Angel was going to head back over to her group, it helped her to know that someone at least acted like they cared. Getting the materials she needed, Demi sat back down and ground the beetles trying her best not to fall to pieces. Hopefully, Professor Erikson wouldn't remember her asking about something like this last term. It was bad enough as is without her being asked about things.
