As soon as Forbid stepped into the classroom, she had to rub at her eyes in confusion for a moment. She could almost swear the Professor had been green. When her hand fell back to her side, she stared for a moment. Okaaay. So it hadn't be her over-active imagination going all freaky on her. At least that meant she was sane... in some way. Kage would beg to disagree. Mentally she pouted, trudging off to a seat in the back of the classroom. The Professor's change in skin color was momentarily forgotten due to her sulky mood. Only then did she take the time to read the board. The ingredients were listed along with the title of the potion. Drought of Living Death. Wow. Sounded like a oodles and doodles of fun. Great party gift.
Hastily she scribbled down the steps so as not to forget and so she wouldn't have to keep glancing up at the board. That sort of thing always did grate on her nerves. They were already low enough as it was. Plus, by now she had gotten fairly used to Professor Erickson's change in skin tone. Bleh. Actually seemed kind of cool now that she really thought about it. It's like dying your hair! Only without the hair part included... Hehe.
And with the same haste as before she gathered all of the needed ingredients before returning to her seat. Time to get started. She infused the powered asphodel to the wormwood to start off, just as she was supposed to and followed it up by lighting the fire. Delicately she started to squeeze the juice from the beans, making sure to be careful and count them as she went. Safest way to go about it... A check to the cauldron deemed it hot enough and the infusion was added to it. A quick fetch of two liters of water to be dumped into the cauldron and she watched it for a few moments. Boil, boil, boil... Pure willpower. Now if only it would listen...
Shazam! A grin lit up her face and she picked up the stirring rod, reading out the next direction. And off she went to stir counter clock wise seven times. It was a pretty purple color and released the blue steam that it should. Yip! So far, so good... La-ti-da. The juice from the beans was then added to the concoction. And baaack to stirring! Oh. Lilac...? ...Oops. She did something wrong... Hehe... It look sort of... really dark purple by now. Maybe if she continued it would clear up? It was worth a shot. The roots were added, lower heated, and simmered.
"Clear huh?"
The Jaganshi glanced at her own concoction. That... was definitely a failed potion. It was an ever darker purple now and little light blue tendrils of steam rose up from it. Ah man...
