Well, here she was again. She had thought that since she had a TA now, she wouldn't have to be teaching the younger years again. Not that she minded though, as she sort of missed them. They always seemed so eager to learn, unlike the older years. Chello was going to be absent from class today, due to a family illness, so Carina had shifted her schedule around to take over the classes. Not so hard, she'd just have to mark seeing Timothy off the list for this week.
She walked into the classroom, bag in one hand and a mug of coffee in the other. It was really too early for the eighteen year old to be awake. She had gotten used to her schedule with the older years, all their classes were in the afternoons. Setting her things down, she took a moment to pull her hair up in a messy bun, leaving the green streaks loose to fall around her face. Under her robes, she wore jeans and a t-shirt, a testament to her young age.
Sitting down at the desk, Carina leaned back and propped her feet up on the desk. Sipping her coffee, the professor wait for the first students to arrive, Blinking several times, she remember what she forgot to do. Tapping her wand against the board, the ingredients for today's potion appeared.

Upon entering the room, Pierce automatically looked toward the board, covering a yawn with the back of his hand. It was too early, and Pierce wasn't fond of being up early. But who did? And he had to make a potion, to top it off. With a slight groan, the boy went to his station, somewhat near the front of the class room. He glanced toward who he thought was the T.A., but was pleasantly surprised that he actually got to be with the professor. Good, he would have an intelligent person to teach him.
"Good Morning, Professor," he said politely, taking out a notepad and jotting down the potion's name and the ingredients on the board. Being the first in the class, Pierce had no one to talk to, even though he really didn't want to. To take up some time, he went to the supply cupboard, taking out the only four ingredients that were listed. Lazily he returned to his seat, leaned back in it, crossing his arms, and waited for class to properly begin.
Personal issues. Don't know what's really going on, So I can't really tell when i'll be back/active.

Amanda was running very late to her classes today. She ran down the hallways, hoping to catch at least, a little bit that as, left of the lesson. When she walked into class,She saw that the T.A was there of course, but that there was, only one student in the class. That's it!Amanda looked around the room, to see if she was mistaken. But to her surprise, there was only one student and her.Amanda took a seat in the middle row,and got out the few items she needed for class. After she was done, she then waited for the class to start.

Another lesson for potions was coming up. Gyminee prepared as usual, trying to be as ready as possible for next lesson. She rushed yet again as her usual self and was confused when she entered the room. She was expecting the TA that she had last lesson but the professor was the one infront of the classroom. Gyminee took her seat and stared at the board.
She was sort of mad, considering the fact that from what she remembered, they were supposed to do question and asnwers...unless that was for a different class. Hmm...Pepperup Potion... Gyminee remembered what that was. It was weird...the effects it have on a person who take it, but also the fact that it's not a cure when it happen to relieve certain symptoms.

Time for another potions class. Ashley walked down the hallway and saw the door at the end. Ashley liked potions alot. She really didn't have a favorite one though. They were all great. But Ash excpecially liked Potions. She walked in and saw a professor that she didn't know. Sighing sh etook a seat and looked up to the board. okay so she needed: Dittany Gurdyroot, chopped Lovage Honking daffodil roots in oder to make the Pepperup Potion. Ashley got the ingrediant ready and then waited for other students to show up.

Josie made her way to the potions classroom a soft smile playing about her lips and a catchy tune in her head. She had been listening to the wizarding network before class and the new single by the Phoenix and the flame was now trapped in her head. Darn! It was catchy though. Hum hum hum.
Entering the classroom she spotted Ashley and took a seat next to her, she'd seen her in class before and knew Nessa would probably take the other seat but hoped she didn't mind her taking the spare one. "Hey." She said cheerily as she took her things from her bag and made a quick note of what was on the board.
She threw a smile to the Professor, different to last lesson she noticed, and spared a glance to the other students in the classroom. She smiled at them and then returned her attention back to Ashely, glad she had someone to talk to before the lesson started.
Kera walked into the potions classroom. Potions wasn't one of her favorite classes, but she didn't hate it either. She walked over to the first open seat she saw. The room was still pretty empty, only five other students had shown up so far. Her green eyes glanced up at the board and quickly read what was written on it. A soft sigh came out of her mouth, as she grabbed out a quill and some parchment. Might as well write the stuff down.

Ashley looked up and saw Josie enter the room. She smiled to her. Ashley sat back in her chair while Josie took a seat next to her. "Hi how are you?" she asked her. Ashley and her had just recently met in the QQ. She seemed very nice. Kera Jonson then entered the room. Ashley then relized how many people she knew at the school. But she probably still hadn't even met one fourth of the people yet but hey it was only her second year.

Sev made his way into the classroom. Glad that there would be a joint class between the third and second years, he looked around to see who was here. As there were not many second years, Sev liked having the small, close knit classes. But having these slightly bigger ones was just as good. He took a seat behind Ashley and Josie. "Hello girls," he said with a smile.
Brady swung his bag over his shoulder so it rested on his left shoulder and swung down to his right hip. His bag as heavy today, packed with thousans of books. It loked as though it could rip any second. He had potions next. He made is way down the steps to hisnext class. He was running on time so he kept a nice even pace.
Potions was his favorite class. He never bothered to show with the rest but for him potion was a breeze an fun. He sighed as he opened the door and straight away looked up at the board. They were doing a Pepperup Potion. He dumbed his bag on the ground next to his seat but made sure it was out of the way, so people won't trip.
He took out a pen and a peice of parchment. He copied the things down on the board, the ingrediants. Than he wet and gathered the ingrediants. He put them on his desk. He sat down and leaned back on his chair for the next set of drections.

Brayden slipped into the classroom quietly, he was still half asleep, and really didn't feel like making a potion at the moment, because he'd probably do something wrong and blow up the whole castle. He took a seat near the back of the classroom, and rested his chin on his hand, and his elbow rested on the table, keeping him propped up, incase he fell asleep. He sheepishly scribbled down the notes and went back to imagining himself back up in his bed in the Gyffindor dormitory.

The first thing Aaliyah noticed was that the TA was not there. She frowned, recognizing the professor but wondering why she was here instead of Ms. Evans. She stopped in front of the door, debating whether or not to even come into the class. She began twirling her fingers around her pink, black, and white hair as she waited whether or not to go into the classroom or just skip entirely. She would not be much of a help if she was in the classroom. She did not do anything anyway.
But seeing as it was the professor there, she figured she might as well come in and try to learn the ideas necessary to pass an exam if needed. So, she make her way into the classroom and took a seat next to Brayden. "Heya," she smiled as she took off her black knit hat. She ran her fingers through her hair in an attempt to get rid of the 'hat hair' and grinned. She rarely talked to Brayden but seeing as she was not going to really pay too much attention in class, it would be a good idea to get to know someone better.

From her view point on the desk, Carina smiled as she watched the students laughing and talking with friends. Almost a shame to start the lesson and spoil all that. But she had a job to do and the light chiming that was coming from her watch had no problems reminding her. Sliding off her desk to stand, Carina cleared her throat. "All right, let's get settled down and then get started. For those of you that don't know me, I am Carina Erikson and I am Potions Professor here at Hogwarts. Miss Evans was called away for a family emergency. My teaching style is quite different than hers, but I should only be here for the one class."
"As stated on the board, this is a Pepperup potion. Now that should be simple enough to understand. It peps you up. With that said, Carina turned and tapped her wand against the board. The words there effectively changed from the directions to notes of what she had just told the class for them to copy down.
"After you write that down let's move on to discussing the ingredients. Honking daffodils. This is what gives the potion it's strength. It's also what takes the other ingredients and bonds them together. Without this, the potion would simply be different ingredients floating in the water. Now, there are some people that will tell you that potion ingredients can't be interchanged. But there are many that have the same of similar properties. Regular daffodils can be used in exchange for honking ones in some potions. It can't be changed in a PepperUp Potion because they simply aren't strong enough."

A couple more students started arriving and started socializing with others. Since Gyminee obviously had classes with people with the same year as her, she obviously knew them. She also had a few lessons involving second years so she knew some of them as well. Although these were familiar faces to Gyminee, none of them was a familiar voice. Gyminee wasn't the type of person that lotsa people would talk to, but she isn't the type of person either who would talk to anybody or just start talking/starting a conversation. When there were enough people o start the lesson, the professor started talking. A family emergency which caused the TA to go away for a while did not only caused Gyminee to feel a bita sadness, since she really wanted the Q&A, but the thought of possible family emergencies also gave her that feeling. A couple of information about the potion was said by the professor and Gyminee wrote those infos right away.
Sabra entered the classroom and made her way to a desk near Aaliyah. She looked up at the board and began to copy down the ingredients. Smiling at Liyah she whispered a "Hey" then focused on Professonr Erikson who waould be leading the lesson for today.

Tapping her wand against the blackboard, Carina watched as the words formed on the board. Reading as they formed just to make sure they were right. "Well, thats enough for the lecture. Here are the amounts and the directions for the potion. Begin."
Ingredients: 5 grams honking daffodil roots, chopped, 2 small pinches dittany 1 gram lovage, 6 pieces of chopped gurdyroot.
Bring water to a rolling boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
Add the honking daffodil roots and the dittany. Stir counter clock wise three times.
Allow mixture to simmer for two minutes and fifteen seconds.
Add the lovage and stir clock wise twice.
Remove cauldron from heat and add the gurdyroot.
Bottle potion, label and bring to my desk.
Carina sat back at her desk for several moments, allowing the students time to get started.

Ashley looked at the ingrediants on the board and walked over to a covered. She grabbed them out and walked back to her seat trying not to fall and make a fook of herself. "Okay." she said sighing. "First things first." Ash cpoied down all of the directions on the board onto her notebook:
Bring water to a rolling boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
Add the honking daffodil roots and the dittany. Stir counter clock wise three times.
Allow mixture to simmer for two minutes and fifteen seconds.
Add the lovage and stir clock wise twice.
Remove cauldron from heat and add the gurdyroot.
Bottle potion, label and bring to my desk.
Carina sat back at her desk for several moments, allowing the students time to get started.
Kay number one. She brought the water in her culdron to a rolling boil. Then she reduced the heat to a low simmer.

As usual, the room wasn't exactly filled with all the second and third years at Hogwarts. A couple mure students entered as the professor explained mroe about the lesson. Then the list of ingredients and procedure appeared on the board. Gyminee started right away and got her ingridients. She was looking at the list and it took a while for her to move. Side-tracked maybe. Or distracted was what happenned to Gyminee. Gahh...Gyminee thought. After this boring random moment, Gyminee looked for her ingriedients. She looked for the honking daffodil roots and got 5 grams of those. Then after she got 2 small pinches dittany, a gram lovage and 6 pieces of chopped gurdyroot. After she got her ingridients, she chooped the honking daffodil roots and looked at the board to see what she had to do next. The cauldron was in heat and after a while came to a rapid boil. She then reduced the heat then started adding the chooped roots and dittany. She then took some kind of equipment used for stirring and stirred the potion three times counterclockwise. After the potion was left to simmer for two minutes and fifteen seconds, she added the lovage and stirred that two times, clockwise. Gyminee then removed it from the heat, and added the gurdyroot. After a little while, possibly a couple of seconds, she put the potion in a bottle, labeled it with the approriate labeling and brought the potion to the teacher's desk.
Nessa walked in late, and slipped in unseen and hoped the professor would not know she was late, She understood what was going on. She found a seat near Ash. She quickly smiled as she took note of the board and started up. She wrote down the recipe in her notebook.
She started boiling the water and then a little after she let it simmer. "Alright that was easy enough" she thought to herself. She sighed and went on a little.
The next step wasn't too hard if you did it right. Add the honking daffodil roots and the dittany. Stir counter clock wise three times. Nessa did exactly that, hoping she was doing everything right.

Yeah, then there was the actual potion making time. Aaliyah groaned softly as those around her began. She figured she would just sit back and watch as the other students began brewing their potions. She did not have to make a potion herself as the TA had told her last class. And she really did not want to draw attention to herself by screaming at the thought of touching the ingredients [though the ingredients for this potion did not seem too bad].
She began writing notes so she looked like she was productive. Perhaps the professor would not even notice that she was refusing to make the potion.
