Will they get in? [BIG PLOT THREAD]

[Karen Meredith]

For someone who already had one strange term, things were about to become ultimately stranger. Karen had been in the Owlery, sending her termly letter out to her grandparents and younger brother Franklin when she had heard the calls to head down to the Great Hall. The original request for students made her jump, and she quickly tied the parchment to her owl's ankle. "Hurry up," she said, looking more and more panicked by the second. "Please be safe!" And with that, the owl turned towards the window and flew as fast as its wings could carry it.

As for Karen, however, she proceeded to make her way down the stairs of the tower and join up with a random group of students as they all made their way to the Great Hall. Now wasn't the time to ask questions. She just wanted to stay as safe as possible. Hopefully someone would explain everything when enough students were present. Once the group made it inside safe territory, Karen ran over to the far corner of the room and crouched down into a ball. God... For someone who was older than most of the students in the school, she was acting pretty young.

Leon entered, ushering in some frightened first years, and then made tracks for the only two teachers he saw, Professors Slughorn and Halliwell. He didn't want to interrupt then, but he felt the need to. Not that he was rude by nature, but he wanted to know what was going on.

"Excuse me, sirs," Leon said, stepping up to them. "I'm Leon Arrondus, prefect for Hufflepuff... I heard the call to bring everyone in, and got some younger years here, but... What's going on? Is there some sort of attack? Has something happened to jeopardize our safety here?"

For as bad as her anxiety of this all was, the whispers of classmates around her only strengthened her worries. Whispers of muggles seeing the castle for what it truly was and the Headmistress on bed rest only made her mind defy her thoughts that everything was okay, making her realize that perhaps the students of Hogwarts were not being told the true story of what was happening. Whatever that was. Though she highly doubted muggles had crept into the grounds. Leaky Diagon Alley? Perhaps? But Hogwarts?

No. Had these people not even skimmed through 'Hogwarts: A history'? Any sane person who had would no doubt realize that the castle was protected. Seen as ruins to all but a a muggle. So naturally that ruled out any talk of muggles in the proximity, right? But Bee was not that certain about anything anymore. A mass of confused thoughts, the second year girl edged away from the crowd that had formed around the professor, secluding herself against the wall as she let out a deep sigh.

If muggles are here, you still worry. But why? You've spent half your life learning alongside them at school have you not?

True. The talk of muggles in the school [which she refused to believe] was rather far fetched. Her experience with muggles had taught her that they were friendly people, and she almost scoffed at the mention of a Salem Witch Hunt epidemic. Nothing of the sort would happen. Of that she was certain. As certain as one so young could be sure of.

Yet still confused and worried thoughts lingered as she leaned against the wall. Her mind telling her that everything was fine, yet her heart called out, urging her to see what danger might arise from the talk around her. Trying to convince her that some of it may indeed be the truth.

[Kali Rune]

Kali was answered by Jade but she was glad that at least she knew what was going on. She was a bit scared which usually doesn't happen. She looked back at the Professor then looked all around her. People were scared, confused, curious of what exactly was going on. SHe was at least glad Jade had told her what was up. "Thanks" she said softly while still looking around.

Matt went into the great hall after hearing a call of somesort. He looked around and he saw Lilly and Kali. He walked behing then and wrapped his arms aroud Lilly's waist. "Hey Lilly,Hey Kali" said Matt. He then heard Kali's quiestion. But then he head Jade answer it.He was kind of shocked that this was happening.

Harley walked down towards the Great Hall after a big announcment had told all students to get down there at once.Confused.Harley closed her lyrics book and looked at her cat who was frantically running around the room like he was on steriods or something such as that.Harley rolled her eyes and put her hair into two ponytails and threw on her black and red hoodie along with some red converses on.She new it wasn't matching her hair but who cared this was obviously more important then matching.

Harley walked out of the Common Room and towards the Great Hall."This better be important."She mumbled to herself,she glanced around hoping no one heard her but she hadn't seen anyone around she sighed of relief and walked into the Great Hall,looking around for someone she knew.She hadn't seen anyone she knew she sighed and walked over to a table and sat down where a bunch of people where sitting she glanced around noticing all types of houses,She saw another Slytherin.

Harley twirled a piece of her hair around her finger wondering what was going on.Still confused she looked around watching other students begin to come in she sighed and decided to say something."Hi,Since ya'll don't know me I'm Harlequin."She said."I mean Harley."Harley commented hoping she would be able to talk to someone and not that they would ignore her.

[Jade "Lizzy" Silvernacle]

Lizzy saw Matt come up to them and wrap his arms around Lilly's waist. "Hey Matt." she said with a smiled. She crouched down and set the six books he was carrying donw on the ground, but not her wand and the three news paper articles.

She heard someone then say, 'Hi, Since ya'll don't know me I'm Harlequin...' pause 'I mean Harley.' She then turned around smiling at the girl. "Hi Harley nice to meet you. I'm Jade-Elizabeth, but go by Lizzy or Jade." she said nodding.[/font][/size]

Violet, who had been away for a while and had just gotten back, heard about something terrible happening here at Hogwarts. Someone told her along the way that she needed to head towards the Great Hall and so she did but she was confused. Really confused on what was going on. She looked around the hall to see if there was anyone she knew and sure enough her cousin, Kali, was there sitting next to Lilly and some other people she doesnt know. "Hey Kali, you know what's going on?" she asked her.

[Horace Slughorn]

Horace closed his eyes. This was going to be a long night. Horace opened his eyes and pointed his wand at the Great Hall doors. They slammed shut, and it seemed to get the pupils attention. "Everyone, please, can I have your attention!" Horace then looked over the mass if pupils. It was the whole school. "We have a situation on our hands. It seems Headmistress Potter has went into labor, too early"

Horace heard the murmur of the pupils. "SILENCE!" Horace bellowed, and once more, hush. "This is why she is not with us. Professor Slughorn, the other one" He added, "Is with her now, making sure she has a safe birth" Horace then got ready, now comes the bad news. "As the Headmistress is in labor, the spells and enchantments protecting the school have fallen" Once again Horace heard the panic.

"SILENCE!" This time with more force. "Hogwarts is now un-protected. What magic left is in the Great Hall, this is where we are most safe. I will ask all pupils to get the the back of the Hall, I need all teachers to the front, where the main doors are please...now" At first, there was no movement, only staring. "I said now!"

Syn sighed and moved away from the girl to the wall again. He looked around for someone knew....again. He didn't know anyone...again. What a surprise. His friends had all officially disappeared. He hadn't seen them in forever, and now, when everyone was supposed to be in the hall, THEY weren't. Syn shook his head, beginning to get a little worried.

Where are you guys? Syn asked himself.

Had they really abandoned him?

"SILENCE! Hogwarts is now un-protected. What magic left is in the Great Hall, this is where we are most safe. I will ask all pupils to get the the back of the Hall, I need all teachers to the front, where the main doors are please...now. I said now!"

Syn rolled his eyes. If his life was indanger, he wasn't going to listen to anyone but himself.He stayed where he was.

He'd been ignored, though that wasn't surprising... At least he did have his answer. Could something like child birth really endanger the whole school? Leon heard the order to go to the back of the hall, but stood his ground. He was a prefect, and adept with his wand... He would assume a position in front, ready to protect his fellow students, and prove his worth to those that would ignore him.

[Jade "Lizzy" Silvernacle]

Lizzy stumbled backwards. "Oh no, Oh no, Oh no." she said shaking her head her waves shaking with it. She was breathing now as though she was out of breath, and the terror filling her once again, but the big crisis was now she was panicing. She blinked hoping it was another of her nightmares and pinchedherself once on the arm to make sure. She shook her head failing to wake up.

It took a few minutes, but she finally got control back. She took deep breaths. She was worried, she hadn't seen Brad yet and he could usually get her calm easily.

Lizzy smiled at Harley as she did as the Professor said and went to the back.[/font][/size]

Harley grinned when at least someone had said something to her."Nice to meet cha Lizzy."She said glad that she had called her Harley instead of Harlequin.Harley sighed wondering how long they were going to be here but she didn't care but hopefully someone she knew would show up.

Harley then looked towards Professor Slughorn when he had pratically deafened her she sighed and listened to him say that the Headmistress had gone into labor early,Harley had heard from Traci that she had been pregnant.It was sorta strange to her that they pratically lose all of the magic when she is in labor.Harley didn't get it but she listened to him till he finished.Harley sighed."So how long are we supposed to stay here?"She asked herself before glancing back at the other kids and moving towards the back,like Professor Slughorn at told them to do so.

[Kali Rune]

Kali looked around and saw Matt entered and sid hi to them. "Hey" she said to him. She saw Violet enter and said hi to her and explained what Jade had told her to her. She didn't mean to be rude to her and all but she turned to Jade and listened intently as Jade brought up a news article about what was happening. She cannot believe it. What was seriously up???This could just not happen. She just blah! Kali doesn't know what to do.

[Horace Slughorn]

Horace looked at the two Hufflepuff's who seemed to think they were at the front, or did not move at all. "I said students, all students to the back and teachers to the front!" Horace snapped. If some pupils were going to give him trouble, when he had so many things playing on his mind, then they would hear him.

Horace came down from the step and looked at the two. "Get yourselves to the back of this hall now please. I have know time to argue this out - I have other people to think about than two of you, the rest of the school as well!" Horace snapped.

Leon narrowed his eyes. This guy was treating him like a two year old. He was a prefect for crying out loud. Maybe that didn't mean much to the professor, but it meant something to Leon, and the younger students who looked up to him. And yet... He wasn't going to get into a fight with this guy.

"As you wish... Sir..." Leon said, shaking his head.
He sighed, and made his way toward the back of the room, his eyes betraying the anger he felt at being treated so badly. The headmistress had chosen him to be a prefect... She had faith in him. Why couldn't others?

Syn shrugged. "Fine, then go ahead and take care of them. Do what you have to, as of now, I am taking care of myself." Syn looked at the other hufflepuff, who he had never met. He understood that the professors were scared and worried about everyones safety, but there wasn't near enough professors to stand up again muggles, if they come. They could hold them off for 10, maybe 20 minutes, but if the muggles came with guns, they had no chance. Besides, going to the back wasn't going to determine if they lived or not. They had to have more than just professors. This moment would determine what the next year for both the wizarding world and the muggle world would be like. Weather the professors liked it or not, Students would have to fight also.

"Sorry professor, but I'm not moving. If I die, I want it to be my fault, not yours. Not anyone elses. Mine and Mine only. Hell, we don't even know If were in any danger, were just assuming the worst!"

Leon was halfway to the back when he heard Syn's outburst. He paused, and turned around to watch what happened... Syn obviously felt like he did. Leon didn't know him at all, but apparently they weren't that different. And, if Syn had a chance at staying up front, then Leon would too... He had a right.

[Horace Slughorn]

Horace shook his head. The teacher was so full of things, in his head, he had to deal with. Horace looked at the pupil, as if a normal person. "Listen, when your parents sent you to this school, the agreed to have the teachers and staff protect you, no matter what. It is our job. We know what we are doing" Horace felt so tried, yet then, there was an energy through his body.

"I need you to go to the back of the room, you are my responsibility, now please..." Horace pointed to the back of the room. It was times like this that he only wish the students knew what he was going through, or at least understood him enough to do as he said, but they were teenagers.

Leon thought that over. He could see the strain the man was under... That was why he had snapped. Leon should respect him, as his superior, and move to the back. But, if anything at all happened, Leon was going to come running... As he turned, and walked toward the back of the room, a wave of dizziness hit him. Blinking, he steadied himself against the back wall, and tried to get his head about him.
