Queety nearly jumped when she heard Carina's soft voice. Before she had a chance to respond, Carina had headed away toward the bar. Well now someone knew she was here and it was probably too late to turn around. She glanced back over at Straw and Hermione who were still speaking in hushed voices. Whatever it was they were talking about, they both seemed worried and upset. Queety knew she was really going to have to interrogate Straw later that night about what was going on. He had just been acting too secretive and suspicious for too long.
Kelly was waving her over. She had been too busy staring at Straw and Hermione that she forgot that she was hesitant about joining her other friends in the first place. No way for her to sneak out of the pub now. She quickly let the worried look on her face disappear and replaced it with a smile and quickly came over.
"Hey ladies," she said calmly. "It's great to see you all looking well. Oh, Kat I'm so glad you're here. I wanted to show you some pictures Hyacinth sent from Australia."
The only seat available was right next to Kat. Queety tried to keep her composure as she slid in next to her. She reached into her bag and pulled out some photos that had arrived at her flat this morning. Pictures of the triplets at their grandmother's house with bright smiles on their faces and waving. A few others were of them playing at the park. The final picture showed them blowing kisses toward the camera. "The last picture was specifically for you Hyacinth said," Queety explained, handing it to Kat. "They miss you."
As everyone looked at the photos, Queety glanced over at Straw and Hermione again with furrowed eyebrows. "Hey, do you know what's going on in auror-town over there?"
