I'm not sure how many people are aware of this problem, yet I felt it deserved a thread. Sorry if this is covered elsewhere,

Sadly, as my life once again shifts due to the fluidity of my life with a job and boyfriend, it seems that I'm going to have to let go of one part that's meant a lot to me for the last few. It seems that it finally really is the time to shut down Trio's Hogwarts. The interest isn't there anymore and no matter what I do, it doesn't seem to work. I don't need the heartache or headache that it causes anymore, especially since I don't seem to be getting anything positive in return. I don't get any compliments about how great Trio's is or how it's helping anymore. And I'm getting tired of holding on to a site that people only want for sentimental purposes. If people really cared, then they'd be doing more than "Please don't shut it down, I love it" and then not come on the site or role-play for weeks at a time. I understand that real life gets busy, but if something is as important as people have told me it is, they would be able to find a few minutes. Even I, as busy as I am with school and work, find time to get on to answer my PMs and most of my administrative duties during the week and then what I don't get to, I catch up on a free day. I'll probably leave the site up until January 1st so that we can say we made it from 2004-2008. But unless something drastic happens and we suddenly pick up to more than 20 posts a day, then I think that's the end of it. It'll be sad to see it go as I've spent so much time on it, but I can't bear to see it fall further into destruction.
Obviously serious stuff.
I'm sure most have noticed the atrocious recent activity. Classes have been poorly attended, some boards are slipping, and OOC chat has been barely existant.
In the past two weeks the average daily post count has been around 85, terrible compared to past highs of over 1'000, and not really enough to sustain such a big board such as this one.
From Britt's message we seem to have until the turn of the year to fix things (if we actually want the board around). Not just posts and comments saying "Don't shut it down!" are needed, but actual RP posts, new threads and activity.
Whether such a thing occurs or is possible remains to be seen, and will ultimately judge the board's fate. If we can't manage it, obviously this board may aswell close, but we've managed it in the past, even a few weeks ago this site was bustling in comparison to now.
I know personally I've been busy recently, but with a month off from this Saturday, I hope to be posting on here all through the Christmas break. Some of you may have holidays and holiday-work, but if you don't and have the free time, this board is, and has always been a fun way to pass time. Even if you have but a few minutes, post in a class, say. I know my classes currently are horrendously attended.
So, if you've read this far, this is make or break it time for Trio's. Words aren't needed (here), but action is, and creative roleplaying needs to make a return to this site, and fast.
Any other thoughts folks? Is it in vain, or can we pull through?
