History Class, change it up a little??

History of Magic
Class 3: Years 5 through 7
Professor: Queety

It was going to be a little different today, this lesson. In hopes of getting people more interested in History of Magic [which could be boring or interesting, depending on your opinion], Queety planned to have class in a different atmosphere. Class in the tea parlor would definitely bring excitement to the class, at least for today. Now, Queety just hoped that the students would come meet her at the end of Rose Petal Lane so they could all walk down to Hogsmeade as a class. She was serious when she said anyone who is late would have to walk down on their own.

It was chilly at 11 o'clock in the morning as Queety stood at the edge of Rose Petal Lane with her hands in the pockets of her jacket. She was not wearing her usual staff robes because she felt that her muggle winter jacket would do the job much better. She could see her breath as she looked up the lane. The first couple students were on their way now. Queety grinned, glad to know that some students were eager for class that day.

[Holden J. Caulfield]

Holden walked down the lane wearing his regular clothes instead of his school robes like he was expose to. What child in their right minds would wear a school uniform out in the snow? He knew he would never do that and he might as well be comfortable. Today was History of Magic class in Hogsmeade. Holden hoped they wouldn't go to Madam Puddifoot's; he had spent all night working there.

He saw Professor White in view and continued walking. It was way too cold for this. Why was she doing this? Holden wasn't going to complain about having a little adventure but it was snowing! The Hufflepuff made it up to the professor and looked at her. Where was everyone else? He was alone!

"Hi professor," he said. "Why are we going to Hogsmeade exactly?," he asked.

[Queety White]

"Hey, Caulfield," Queety grinned at the sixth year next to her. "Nice to see that you found your way here. Hopefully more people will show up." She sniffed. Why was it that cold weather always made your nose run? Queety figured that it would be one of those mysteries that would never be solved. She sighed and looked up toward the sky. "I hope it snows," she muttered to herself.

Suddenly Holden said something and Queety turned her attention back to him. "Huh? Oh, well I decided to treat you guys today for class. Sure, we'll be learning things but I figured it would make things easier for you to focus if we changed the atmosphere around a little bit." She glanced back up the lane. "Hopefully people will come a bit faster. I don't want to stand out here and freeze for too long."

[Elesy Miranda Longhorn *Rp?*]

Snow. Snow falling to the cold ground, that was so good, that meant it was freezing outside, and, that would mean freezing to death. Elesy wasn't quite sure about being out in the freezing cold, but, she would have to get used to it again. Elesy let a sigh out. Elesy was dressed in a pair of jeans, a long sleeved black shirt, a thin black jacket, a pair of long white socks, and, a pair of crimson, and, black sneakers. Elesy came out of the castle, and, felt as though she was going to freeze to death. Elesy walked to Rose Petal Lane, and, saw the Professor, and, a kid from the class. Elesy walked down the lane, and, came up to them.

"Hello, Professor." Elesy said, and, shivered a little. Elesy wasn't used to this cold winter weather yet. Elesy let a sigh out. Elesy hoped more people would come, so that way they could go someplace warm, instead of freezing to death. Elesy looked at the snow, and, sighed a little again. Elesy was happy though that it was snowing at least. Elesy thought it was annoying to just have freezing cold, but, with snow it was worth it. Elesy smiled thinking about that, and, then shook it off, to remain out of deep thought.

Elesy continued to stare at the snow as it fell. Elesy looked up at the sky, and, all of a sudden a gust of wind swept the snow right into Elesy's face. Elesy shook her head to get the snow off of her face, and, out of her hair.[/font]

[Kali Rune]

The Slytherin headed her way towards the History lesson, wondering what they would be talking about for today's lesson. The only thing was, when she got to the classroom, it was closed. In fact there was a note telling the students to meet the Professor at the end of Rose Petal Lane.

Kali slowly walked away from the door and headed to the direction of the Rose Petal Lane. They would be going to Hogsmeade but why? That is the big question. Hopefully when the Slytherin gets to the end of the Rose Petal Lane, she wouldn't be too late or something because that would be horrible.

The good thing: there are people. The girl is glad that she could see people there and the Professor! Thank goodness. Kali walked over to where the professor and two other students were. "Hey" Kali said to El as she looked around the place.

[Queety White]

Queety glanced at her watch. It was 11:10 on the dot. Queety was serious when she had said they would continue without the stragglers when the clock hit 11:10. Anyone else was free to join but they would have to come into Hogsmeade on their own. Queety pulled out her wand and write a note in the air, explaining that they were going to be at Maddam Puddifoot's for class and anyone was still welcome to join.

Then she turned to the three students who had shown up on time. "Sweet. Glad to know that you guys are here. You'll get five points each of course. All righty then. Let's go!" She spun on her heel and made her way through Rose Petal Lane and into Hogsmeade. As soon as they got there, Queety made a left and down the street into the tea parlor. She opened the door, listening to the bells jingle and held the door open for the other students.

When they were all finally in the classroom at a table, Queety grinned. "Okay, guys we're almost done with our Harry Potter's childhood unit. Next class will be an interesting one full of war and violence and whatnot but that doesn't happen until after the last two years Harry was at school. But first, you can all order your drinks."

Queety turned to the waitress and ordered just a simple cup of black tea. Then after all the other students took their orders she said. "Okay, just to create a transition, the end of Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts lead to a very sad ending. As we mentioned on your pop quiz the other day, Harry's godfather was found out to be Sirius Black. And during Harry's fourth and fifth year, Sirius became a very special part of Harry's life. Even though Sirius was still on the run for being an accused murderer, they kept in contact, Sirius often helping Harry get through various challenges. So, what ended up happening to Sirius after this."

10 points to Slytherin.

[Selene Falicon]

Selene was late to the classroom, causing her to be late to meeting Queety and the rerst of the class at Rose Petal Lane. She quickly sprinted outside, her coat keeping her warm and her small amount of money jingling in her pocket. She found she was late, and hurried to try to find the class. She hated wandering around alone. Reaching the end of RPL, se entered Hogsmeade sighing. Where would they go from here? Selene walked along the road, looking in each shop as she went.

Finally she reached the tea parlor and looked inside. Seeing Queety, Selene quickly entered. She took a seat at the table and mumbled a, "Sorry Professor." She mimssed what Queety had said, so she waited for either Queety to continue or someone else to answer her.

[Nyna Adustum]

Nyna would have been on time if the lesson had been in the normal History of Magic classroom. Perhaps even a little earlier than she normally was. But it wasn't in the typical location today. The HoM class was going to be taught in Hogsmeade that day.

So Nyna found herself entering Madam Puddifoot's Tea Parlor for the first time in her life, cold, exhausted, and late, after running so frantically down Rose Petal Lane. The professor had already started talking. The Ravenclaw took a seat next to Selene who had sat down moments before.

[Elesy Miranda Longhorn *Rp?*]

Waiting. Elesy was waiting, and, listening, she was just in a calm state. Elesy heard a 'hey' from Kali, and, just gave a slight wave, and, a nod, of returning the 'hey'. As they set out, Elesy smiled looking around, she thought it was a nice day now, but, before, when she had just been coming out side, and, into this cold land, it was different. Once they made it there, Elesy just took a seat at the table, and, waited very quietly. Elesy watched, and, listened, waiting to see if anyone else was coming. Elesy saw two more people come.


Elesy heard the question, a few seconds before the two people who were late arrived. Elesy raised her hand. "Sirius was killed by Bellatrix Lestrange, and, ended up falling through the veil. Harry screamed Sirius's name, and, tried to go through the veil, just thinking that Sirius had fallen through, and, he could be reached, but, Remus Lupin stopped him." Elesy said, looking around, and, waiting to see if she was right or not. Elesy did wonder if she was right, she hoped so, and, her hoping was really hard to believe, since she was the most doubtful person you could ever meet, or at least it could seem that way at times.[/font]

Selene looked over as Nyna sat down next to her and smiled. She wanted to whisper a hello to her friend, but didn't want to get yelled at. Besides, she needed to pay attention. She listened to Elesy's reply and frowned. What was she tlaking about? Sirius was still alive. "Actually, that didn't happen, did it? Sirius is still alive."
