Long were the days when one could just roam the corridors. Long gone were the days when one would merely have to stumble down such corridors to find a friend to talk with or otherwise found by an even closer friend. This was such a long time ago and how empty one felt when suddenly the realisation that they'd never see that person again stuck.
The past, how he missed it. Everyone, everyone he loved was close by, only a corridor away where he'd usually find them, greeting him always with a smile and a chuckle. The only place Straw could find them now was in his sleep. Many a night he'd find himself walking those corridors again of Trios Hogwarts and stop to have a simple conversation with one or two of them. It was never the same but he tried to block the lack of reality out of such moments.
Forgetting was easy, too easy that he feared he would. He could never forget, deep down he knew that but it was too easy to be reminded how quickly one can forget. And so in an effort to not forget, Straw decided to do something he'd been hankering to do for a long time. It was early Sunday afternoon and he'd been laying in his hammock all morning, just looking up at the sky and remembering. He had smiled as a cloud took form of two people wrestling, "miss you too budy!" he'd said back to the sky wondering if he was heard.
It was that as well which had spark such an idea of Straw's this afternoon. Dressed in simple weekend cloths, thongs and carrying a punch of flowers, Straw Buckett made his way down to Muggle London cometary. His heart still stung as the tightening pain grasped his chest once more as he missed his friend dearly. His insides twisted and twinged as he placed the flowers upon the grave, every time it was just another acknowledgment Josh was gone, Straw hated it.
There was not dry throat or ichie prickling eyes this time, just a soft smile as his stomach tried to calm his heat. The anger had lifted but the disappointment and sadness never drained, the heartache always stayed the same as with every moment he stood by his friends grave his heart beat increased rapidly.
The figure of Joshua Chambers formed in his mind and Straw was sure his friend was smiling back at him. Straw nodded back “This ones for you boy!” he whispered and with that Straw set a plastic mat down upon the grass close by grave and sat down. Delicately Straw folded his legs and tucked them upon each other, he closed his eyes, lay out his hands and sat very still for a long moment. Yoga was never his thing but in the memory of Joshua Chambers Straw was going to try his best and relax and have some fun while in the proximity of Josh.
