Logan really had lost his bearings. There seemed to be more space everywhere, like the world had managed to open up in his absence and spit out some new areas to walk over. So it was no wonder why the young man a loss would find himself sitting in the empty Village Hall wondering stupid things.

Not bothering to unstack a chair from the giant pile against the far wall Logan had sat himself in the middle of the large room, his gaze drifting over an empty stage ahead of him. Morning light just starting to drift in through the arched windows silently reminding him that time was of the essence.

He had recieved an owl that two of his old bestfriends- one of them his cousin were to be wedded, Straw Buckett and Kat Samuels. Surprise, surprise! Really now. Logan had known like the rest of the world, that it was prophecy that the two would end up together. Even so all Logan could do at the time of receiving the owl was smile. One of those genuine smiles that only happen when good news catches you off guard. And it was good news, it was exciting- even if he would never let either of them known how he felt to that detail.

Absentmindedly Logan snacked on a slice of strawberry toast he’d stolen earlier from the Great Hall. Bemused to where he would go from here...

'No way....' were his first initial thoughts, 'It couldn't be..could it?'

Straw had never truly been stopped in his tracks before. His breath had been taken away, his heart had been stopped but never was the young man EVER stopped dead in this tracks. "Logan?" he whispered to himself, mouth slightly ajar as he watched the back of a skinny black haired man enter the town hall. It was so early, in fact so early it was rare for Straw himself to be up at this hour, was he seeing things? Was that his long lost cousin Logan Renly?

Straw had a purpose this morning, much to what he believed his dear cousin didn't have. Straw was researching for the wedding, looking for backup buildings in case the headmistress decided not to allow them to wed by the lake. Straw wasn't keen on the hall however it was a nice town and very close to the school, he still really wasn't convinced. Walking toward the hall with a new hurried bounce in his step, Straw tried his best to look normal. He could have ran really but what if the stranger was not the cousin he believed him to be. Straw was not keen on being hexed so early in the day.

The door creaked open, the morning sun erupted through making it way, almost as if instructed, to the solitary figure cross legged in the middle of the wooden floor. Straw approached with caution, not wanting to speak the sitting man's name in case he was wrong. The closer he got the more Straw was convinced it was him though and yet the nature in which his cousin had appeared really did not surprise him.

Straw instinctively sat down next to him on the floor, throwing his legs out in front and putting his hands behind his back for support. "Hey," he said as if it were quite normal to be bumping into his long lost cousin like this. He looked over at him, "You're up early" he smiled still unsure how to really react to Logan's appearance. "I'm looking at alternate wedding locations...What do you think of this one? What's your excuse for being here by the way?" Straw was doing very well, as abnormal as it might be to be sitting on the floor so early in the morning talking to Logan after so long as... it also felt perfectly normal at the same time. There really wasn't any better reunion for the pair frankly.

He had heard the door creak open and sighed on the inside. Waiting for an angry and some-what confused voice to yell out. Not bothering to move from his cross legged position, silently dwelling on how peaceful this hall had been for the past several hours. How lovely it was to just sit and eat ones cold toast.. At times like this Logan couldn’t help but feel like Aladdin, with the guards about to throw him away into a jail for stealing bread. However this guard hadn’t murmured a word apparently they were instead sneaking up to him. And Logan couldn’t help but smirk wondering if this figure planned to slip their wand to his neck and demand why he had broken into the town hall. No, that was way to exciting, if anything the figure probably was confused as to why he was there- or perhaps they too had broken in? Despite the fact Logan had been the one to break the lock on the front doors.

Silly the things we do for solitude.. But what happened next he didn’t anticipate, a relaxed Straw to sit next to him comfortably and greet him.

“Hey..” Logan managed, completely stunned to see what was an older version of what he remember as his cousin. “I was going to say the same to you, what is it? 6am? Don’t you normally get up at lunchtime?” A broad smile formed on Logan’s face. “Hm, if this is the alternate place you might want to also consider where you’d like to be buried,” he said thoughtfully imaging Kat’s face, “Yep. She’d kill you,” and his smile curled further into a grin.

There was a slight pause while he collected his thoughts, unsure whether he wanted to admit the reasons to why he hadn’t gone straight to Straw when he had arrived, and instead had come here. After being away for so long there would be a lot of questions and Logan not wanting to lie knew there would be a lot to explain. A lot of people to explain to. These days Logan was more reserved with his thoughts and business… and sometimes it really was better that way.
Coming here at least meant he could organise his mind for all of that.

“I’m just having breakfast,” he shrugged one shoulder glancing around at their surroundings then back at Straw. “Seemed nice at the time… guess it was a good choice.” Logan reached out a hand to grasp Straw’s shoulder and give it a little shake. “It’s good to see you cuz, I’ve missed you.”

Straw couldn't help but smirk. Logan was right, Kat would kill him. He didn't say anything, just look onward at the stain glass windows. The hall seemed to resemble that of a church almost however still had that hall essence about it. He imagined the face of his finacnee, she'd didn't really seem the type to care about where they got married, well she did but he was sure if THIS was their only choice then she'd take it.. as he would do.

Straw gave Logan a side ways glance, looking at his half eaten piece of jam toast. "You do realise that the town don't gather in here to eat breakfast" he said matter factly teasing his cousin. "its not like school" keeping a difficult straight face. He'd missed this, just hanging out with his cousin talking about nothing in general, just talking about and laughing about anything and everything. "I've missed you too" he smiled warmly feeling the warm hand in his shoulder. "Where've you been? Is Rainne here?"
