Course Description
Herbology is a class that involves learning the history of plants and flowers, their uses in both the magical and muggle world, and their properties that are useful in medicines and potions. This course involves reading, writing, research, and handling of plants. Assigned homeworks will be useful for the basis of frequent in-class conversations as well as class participation.
Attendance
Class attendance is mandatory. Since most of our class meetings rely on discussion, you must be in class, on time, and prepared. More than two unexcused absences will result in a lowered overall grade for the term. If you miss more than two classes, it is unlikely that you will pass the course, and I urge you to drop. The only time you are required to miss a class is if you were ordered by a qualified Healer(you must have the Healer contact me) or had other important issues that you must discuss with myself to be excused.
Miss daily work due to absence, regardless of the reason, may be turned in the day of your return to class or earlier if you can send it to me, via mail. This work will be counted full credit unless turned in after the due date, then it is worth half the day after, and zero on the third day unless you have discussed your reasons for turning in late work.
