I walked into the bustling auror offices inside the department of magical law enforcement. My muddy boots fitting in perfectly amongst the cacophony that I had come to love. For the moment, I figured that I was going to get away with blending in with the rest of the office. After-all, blending in was kinda my specialty; it wouldn't do well for an undercover auror officer not to have the skill.
Unfortunately for me, news was sure to have reached the department by now about the take down of one of the larger illegal potion rings. A project that I had been working on for almost a year now. Nothing official would ever state my name, but the rest of my company wouldn't be good at their jobs if they couldn't figure it out.
It didn't take long for me to reach my desk, the same one that I had held for over 6 years now, despite my superiors trying to reassign me away from the rest of the main company since I had been assigned to the undercover unit a long time ago. In the muggle world, I would have had no say but since I was a witch and could change my appearance to anything almost, it was a moot point.
I smiled, spotting Straw's vacant but messy desk. Despite him now being a team leader, Straw would always continue to be the messy boy I knew in school. Even getting married and having children hadn't changed him. Settling my red auror cloak that I had used in my closed testimony earlier today atop the back of my chair, I settled into my desk hoping to get my case closure paperwork completed before any celebrations were sure to distract me from my work.
