Shadow stands at 6'2 with black hair that runs halfway down his neck and covers his eyes when not in its usual combover. His eyes are light shade of blue. While not fat, he's also not skinny. He's just in the middle with some muscle. Shadow usually dresses in black, but is seen wearing bright colors every now and then. There are scars all over his arms due to the fact that he had all of his tattoos removed.Personality:
Shadow is known for being sarcastic. But, despite his sarcasm, he's also a very kind person. He always sticks up for his friends and loved ones. It's just in his nature. Being rude to people that bother him is also in his nature. Not many of his friends understand how he can be so rude to some people, but then be the nicest person ever to other people. Shadow's also a musician that plays guitar, bass, and drums in his spare time. It's his way to escape reality for a short time.Family:

Biological mother: Isabella Drzhen (1973-present)
Biological sister: Monia Drzhen (1992-present)
Adoptive father: Daniel LeonHeart (1963-present)

Adoptive sister: Christina LeonHeart (1985-present)
Shadow's biological family lived in New Jersey for the beginning of his life but they moved to Cumbria, England (his father's birthplace) when he was 2. His adoptive family are from Cumbria and have lived their all of their lives.
Carth was born into a poorly organized family - unplanned and unprepared. His mother was only 17 and his father (having gotten the poor girl pregnant) had been pressured into doing the right thing and marrying her.Other:
It didn't turn out to be such a bad thing, as Carth's parents got along very well. But they were so wrapped up in one another that they paid very little attention to their son. And, when they moved from the United States back to his father's hometown in Cumbria, England, the little amount of attention he was getting started to slowly disappear.
When Carth was two, his parents had another child, a little girl, whom they named Monica. They loved the girl much more than they had ever loved Carth, and soon the small boy grew jealous, spiteful.
At the age of four, he began to plan the downfall of his baby sister.
He was about to follow through with his plan when, at the age of five, he was practically adopted by his uncle, whom Carth never knew by any other name.
Uncle just came to the house one day, packed Carth in the car with him without so much as a word to his parents, and took the young boy up to his home in the mountains.
Once there, Carth had to do various jobs around the house, and Uncle barely spoke to him. Until his sixth birthday. Uncle came to him dressed in a black uniform which covered his whole being, bar his eyes, and he told Carth about the ninjas.
After that Carth's work no longer had to do with the house, but with training both his body and mind in the ways of the ninja. Carth enjoyed the training at first, but it got old...fast. And he couldn't quite master the stealth training. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't disappear into his surroundings.
Uncle lay in bed one morning, unable to get up. Carth, now ten, brought him tea, but the cup smashed to the ground as Uncle's hand shot out, grasping Carth's wrist. "Take my last gift," he murmured, his old eyes glazing over, "and use it well, Shadow." Those were Uncle's last words before he passed away, like a whisper in the wind. Carth knelt beside Uncle, but he did not cry. He knew his uncle's last gift the moment he died. Carth had obtained all the knowledge of Uncle. Carth was no longer Carth. He was now Shadow.
Shadow took Uncle's ninja suit, and packed it in a bag along with all the smaller weapons in the house. He threw in some food, then began the long walk back down to the city, leaving the house behind him.
Shadow got down to the place which hadn't been his home for five long years.
However the place where his family had once lived was theirs no more.
Shadow knocked on the door, only to have it answered by strangers.
They smiled and welcomed him into the house which had once been his, and explained to him his position. His family had moved away and put him up for adoption two years ago. They had adopted him and bought the house, long awaiting his return.
Shadow had been abandoned by the parents who never loved him, and he felt utterly alone. He had practically been forced into another family and he didn't know how to handle it.
His new big sister, Christina accepted him into the family the instant he arrived. She bent down and asked his name, to which he had replied simply, "Shadow." From then on he became Christina's little shadow. He followed her everywhere, even when she didn't know it, as he often used his ninja skills to blend into his background and spy on her and her friends.
Soon enough his new parents treated him like one of the family.
After they got his surname legally changed from Drzhen to LeonHeart, he was part of the family.
Since Shadow had been gone from his home for five years, not many people remembered him. And, since his hair had become significantly longer than it used to be, people really didn't know who it was. But, one person remembered him. Julia. The girl that he was best friends with and ended up dating for four years. Shadow made a new name for himself. No longer Carth Drzhen Jnr. Now, it was, the ninja, Shadow LeonHeart. His life couldn't get any better. A family that loved him, the most beautiful girlfriend. Then, he found out he was a wizard. So, he came to Hogwarts and was sorted into Mihael. Everything was wonderful and he felt invincible. But, tragedy struck. Days after he arrived, a letter came saying that his family and Julia died. Once again, he was alone.
But, he quickly got over it because of his new friends Chloe Delacroix, Meily James, Tyler Maxwell, Dean Thomas, Jessica Wood, Cassie Elliot, Amber Crane, Joseph Boyd, and Nova Watkins. They were just so friendly. They always took Shadow out of the castle and down to the lake to help him get his mind off of all of his problems. It worked every time. Weeks later, he started dating Chloe Delacroix. They lasted over two terms. After they broke up, he went out with Nova for a week. Shadow did some things that's not proud of and that caused the two of them to break up.
All of his friends had just vanished at that point. But, he had new friends. Cole Halliwell, Sesshy Wood, Katrine Drubsky, LeLe Maiden, and Jackie Lupin, who became his best friend. A few weeks after meeting LeLe, they went out. But, they realized that they wouldn't work out and broke up. And, for the next few months, he was single.
And then Rainne Fall came into the picture. She was the only girl that Shadow had trouble approaching. Cole had to help him talk to her. Thanks to Cole, Rainne and Shadow started dating.
Three months after the two started dating, Shadow had asked her to marry her. Rainne said yes and everything was great. But, he had gotten another letter, telling him that Julia had faked her and his family's deaths. Julia had come to Hogwarts only to see Shadow. But Shadow quickly told her off and told her to stay out of his life forever. She left Hogwarts and he never heard from or saw her again.
Shortly after his encounter with Julia, Shadow was relaxing in the Mihael common room when he felt someone staring at him. He looked at her for a few moments before she spoke up and called him by his birth name. His eyes shot open, instantly knowing who it was. It was his little sister, Monica. They spent the next few hours in the common room talking about Shadow's biological family and both of their lives. Monica had told Shadow that his biological parents felt awful about what they did to him as a kid and would love to try and make amends with him. Shadow refused to make amends, but said he'd make sure to stay in his sister's life. Despite hating her when he was younger, he realized later on in life that it wasn't her fault and that it was their parents. Not a day went by that he didn't regret his lack of caring for his baby sister. But he could rest easy knowing she was okay and that she still loved him.
A few weeks after that, Shadow and Rainne had gotten into a fight and they didn't speak to each other for months. Then, they broke off the engagement after Shadow graduated. It was also at this point that all of Shadow's knowledge that he had learned from Uncle had disappeared. He couldn't remember how to do anything in the ways of a ninja.
After he graduated, he had went back home for three months to just get his thoughts into place. The day he got home, he was in an argument with his parents and sister over stupid stuff. So, his stay was bad. After the three months, he applied for a job a the Muggle Studies TA at Hogwarts and he was accepted. So, he went back to Hogwarts. Then, he was promoted to professor next term. But, he had a mental breakdown and left Hogwarts without telling anyone. His disappearance that time upset Jackie Lupin more than it upset anyone. Shadow always disappeared and she always yelled at him when he came back.
After coming back from his disappearance, the first thing he did was find Jackie to apologize to her. She scolded him like usual and then everything was fine. Shadow became an Oblivator and his life was starting to get back on track. And then he met Lillian. The two of them became a couple very quickly, and then became engaged just as quickly.
Everything was perfect in his life. He was back with his friends, had a beautiful fiancee, nothing could be better. But, shortly after moving in with each other and just before they wedding, Lillian vanished. This was normal for her, so Shadow thought nothing of it. But then weeks went by and she still wasn't back. Weeks turned into months. Months turned into a year. It was at that point that Shadow went looking. Once again, he didn't tell Jackie. But he was in no state of mind to talk to anyone. Two years of searching and he couldn't find her. He traveled the world in search of her and couldn't even find a single clue.
After all that searching, Shadow decided that it was time to go back to the world of magic. His two main goals at this point being to move on with his life and stop moping around. And the other goal was to find Jackie and apologize to her for leaving for two years without so much as a "bye" to her. He had no idea if she'd even be anywhere near him or if she'd even wanna talk to him, but it was something that had to be done.
