Name: Cherie Bombe
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Magical Background: Half-Blood
Magical Affiliation: Neutral
Wand: 8" Ironwood with a Mote of Lightning in the core. This can be used as a tool to interact with Cherie's inventions.
Physical Description: Cherie is a woman of about 5'8". She has curly, light brown hair. Her eyes are light brown. She is of a moderate, athletic build and has long legs. She has magical tattoos that glow and change (she has some control over whether these move and glow or are dark in their original positions, but other than that they tend to respond to her mood).
Personality: Cherie is a mad scientist. She creates magical inventions, and is frequently obsessed with her latest invention. She can be abrasive and standoffish, but tends to make friends quickly with people she respects. She is interested in many "nerdy" pastimes such as wizard chess, wizard cards, and wizard roleplaying games. She is also part of the punk scene and tends to be an advocate of free thinking and social justice.
Family: Cherie's father is an Israeli engineer, and her mother is a muggle technology researcher. Both of them live in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
She has other family in New York City, Israel, and the UK.
History: Cherie's mother and father met when she was researching and observed his work. They fell in love and continued their own separate careers from Brooklyn, New York, where they had Cherie. Cherie was always very interested in her father's work, but knew that she belonged in her mother's world. So Cherie learned both--she learned magic from the Wizarding World, and studied some basic engineering from her father (and is working on becoming a qualified muggle engineer, but not there yet). Cherie is fascinated with objects of both Magical engineering, and Muggle, and she is trying to learn more about combining the two. She can craft many non-electrical objects with some kind of magical charm, and has participated in research on objects like the Flying Car. Her primary achievement is the Mote of Thunder wand core, which works as a sort of magical tool to make small adjustments to items it has charmed, and which has a slightly lower rate of elecricity repulsion. Cherie understands some hybrid engineering and can make very small contraptions which rarely function as intended, but is much better at getting magical charms to imitate human engineering, and quantifying aspects of magic using the muggle Scientific Method.
