You'll always be my thunder

[Kali Rune]

Taking out her guitar from her case, the Slytherin sat down on the grass. She leaned back to the tree and closed her eyes for a brief moment before opening them again. She sighed and pulled her guitar towards her.

The Slytherin looked around her and was glad that there was no one around. Kali started the chord to the song and began singing along with it. "Today is a winding road thats taking me to places that I didnt want to go, whoa. Today in the blink of an eye. Im holding on to something and I do not know why I tried..." she sang and continued to play the guitar.

She loved the song. She loves the band. "Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer. Do you know youre unlike any other? Youll always be my thunder, and I said. Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors I dont wanna ever love another. Youll always be my thunder So bring on the rain And bring on the thunder" she continued to sing. Thunder, she would say is one of her favorites songs by them.

The Slytherin gazed at the lake as she played her guitar.

Jodi had been singing and playing her guitar in her dorm all morning. While she'd been dreaming, she'd had an idea for a song. As soon as she'd woken, she picked up her guitar to play. Her fingers where still a little weak as she played, but she didn't really care. After playing and singing for about an hour, Jodi decided to get ready for the day.

She pulled on her new bright pink jeans, a black and white stripped long sleeve t, and a bright pink belt, that matched her pants. She placed her purple contacts into her eyes, put a bit of eye make-up on, and platted her hair into a long braid. She tied the end as normal, with a pink ribbon. She used a spell to make her hair a little neater. Jodi picked up her guitar, and placed some pen and paper into her shoulder bag.

After leaving the dorm, Jodi headed to the Great Hall for an early lunch. She picked up a blueberry muffin, her new favorite. She walked through the Entrance Hall. Looking up to the house points, Jodi smiled. Hufflepuff was still ahead. Thank good for Amandi Pansy Larsen. She seemed to be the only other girl just as dedicated to winning the house cup as she. Amanda was a good girl. Jodi and her had a lot in common, and always could find something to talk about.

Passing through the Hall, Jodi headed down toward the Lake. She couldn't play as she walked, but sung out loud instead. She felt happy when she sung. It was always good to just burst out random tunes at the top of your lungs. Made her feel like she was just free.

As Jodi reached the Lake she spotted Kali sitting under a tree, with a guitar. This thought made Jodi jump for joy. It was only two days ago that Jodi had found a girl singing by the lake. And Jodi had never realized Kali could sing. If only she'd known earlier, they might have been able to form yet another duet ages ago.

Jodi almost ran up to Kali, not realising she woud probably scare the girl out of her wits. "I never knew you could sing!" exclaimed Jodi, in the loudest non yelling voice.

Kali continued to stare out the lake when a voice surprised her. The Slytherin almost jumped out, which may have been kinda hard considering she has a guitar on her lap. So instead, the Slytherin placed her hands over her heart. Jeez, how do these things keep happening, she thought to herself.

The Slytherin couldn't understand it, still how people keeps surprising her. Maybe it happens only when she's in total silence or peace or whenever her mind is in space. That's probably it because if it isn't then what is it? During other times, she didn't get that scared....yep. The Slytherin was sure now. It's only when she's concentrating that she actually gets 'surprised'.

Kali turned pink. Eh... she wasn't use to people hearing her sing at all, although she do sing often outside or just here and there. "Hi..." she said to Jodi and glanced at what the girl was holding. It was a guitar too! "You could play the guitar!!!" she said to Jodi all excited.

Jodi watched as Kali placed both hands on her chest, almost scared out of her wits and as she turned a bright shade of red. Jodi glanced at Kali as she looked at her own guitar. She smiled, seeing the girls expression. It was obviously as good of a thing for Jodi was it was for Kali. The excitement in Kali's voice got Jodi extra excited. Jodi ran and stopped a few feet in front of the seated Kali.

"Thats not all I can do..." she said, strumming a few notes of her guitar. She sung a few random words to the effect of 'i can sssiiiiinnnnngggg ttttoooooooo!' After singing and playing for a minute or so, Jodi placed her guitar down, and started to dance. First she did a muggle dance, known as the barbie girl dance. She then dirty danced a little, wiggling her bum toward Kail. She did a few star jumps and a cartwheel.

Jodi stood up straight, feeling a little light headed. She stared at Kali for a second, before walking toward her guitar and picking it back up. "I can dance to," she exclaimed, sitting next to Kali under the tree. "Did you like my dancing? Well even if you didn't like the dancing, I love my dancing. Sure that makes me up myself a little, but i've been practicing for year," Jodi said with a straight face, sounding convincing.

Jodi of course knew she couldn't dance. Her attempt made her look like she was having a fit, not dancing. She was just playing a joke with Kali.

Jodi placed her guitar on her lap. "This guitar is only new. I'll let you pet it if you want to. But not for long," she said, stroking her guitar like it where a kitten or puppy. "When I first brought it, it cost me only 3 Gallons. I found it at an op shop. Strange how people throw away perfectly good things like my little bad here."

"I brought 6 new strings and gave it a new paint job. This is it's third make over now. Once it was black, once it was white, and now it's pink. It goes through pharses much like i do. I had a time when the only thing i wore was black. Although, when the guitar was white, I was still back. It was because I used to wear white fairy wings, thats why I painted the little man white. And it's pink now, as you can probably tell..." she said, holding her hands out os Kali could see what she was wearing, "because I'm wearing pink. Maybe the both of us will go yellow soon. What you think? Yellow work? I think so, but you'll probably say we should go green. Going to try and turn us over to the dark side, right?" Jodi said with a massive smile on her face.

After speaking, she realized her words could have been taken two ways. First, as a harmless joke, but the other talking about the past members of Slytherin; for instance the Dark Lord. And with rumours of a new dark lord surfacing, Jodi didn't like her chances that the joke would be over looked. She didn't say anything, but retained her white smile, waiting for Kali to either bite her bum or laugh along.

Kali almost jumped around too and dance around if she hadn't caught herself. It was great knowing someone who really really loves playing the guitar and just singing along and doing all these things. It would be really nice to heard Jodi play, especially after her little 'concert'.

"Did you like my dancing?" Jodi had asked and Kali giggled. "Brava" she said to Jodi and smiled. She multi-tasked! [in a way].Kali doesn't like to dance in front of people to be honest. Sure there are moments when she would just dance randomly or something but not in front of people. I mean, she could do that but that's just something that rarely never happens. The only time that she had actually danced was she went to the dance with Jaden but that was all. There was no other dancing other than that.

The Slytherin looked at Jodi. She perfectly understand her about what she said about the whole petting the guitar thing. Kali is protective, as she would say, at some of her things. For example, if she really really like something that's hers, it would be hard for her to let people just hug it for a long time. "Its nice" Kali said to Jodi looking at the guitar. "And i could totally understand that whole petting thing" she said to her and grinned.

"So, how long have you got your guitar?" The Slytherin asked. She only knew that the guitar has had three make overs but that was all. She didn't know what else about the guitar but hey, doesn't that sound weird just thinking about guitars, i mean at least to other people.

"I don't know..." Kali said to Jodi looking like she's really thinking about it. "Maybe we could go on green, like you said." she said smirking evilly. "I mean, the Dark Side have cookies right?" she said to Jodi and grinned. She was joking about the whole smiling evilly but hey, she has her moments in life like that.
