Forbid's head hurt. It hurt lots. And why did her head hurt so? Simple. Sasuke kissed her. Normally... Okay. So what she was currently doing could be considered normal seeing as how it was Sasuke and all. Now then, let us review the facts of her life. One; Gaara went poof. Two; Sakura... Well, Sakura probably got a talking to be Sasuke. Three; Sasuke asked her to meet him in the dungeons all mysterious-like. Anonymous. Four; Sasuke kissed her. Five; Sasuke ran away. [ Dude. Not normal Sasuke behavior.] And now? Now she was left contemplating what she should say to Sasuke next time she sees him. However long a time that may be... Honestly, all the thinking just made her head hurt more and it sort of felt like betraying Gaara. She still really cared for him so... This had to be some elaborate plot to make her head blow up or something. There was just too much thinking involved in all of this. Way too much.

To add to it, Kage kept muttering something about Sasuke and denial. That in no way helped rid her of her headache. So she did what any girl in her position would do [not really]. She contacted her verrrry best friend which 'twas Akito. Akki-chan would take care of her, yeah? She trusted him with allll her secrets. Why? He she rocked! That 'tis why. So therefore he got to know everything. Yep. No matter what it was. Plus; she wanted to show him her new kitty cat. It was a pretty white kitty that she named Akito. Yeah... Just like when she named the black kitty Sasuke. Now she just needed either a raccoon or an orange kitty to name Gaara. Then it 'twould be a complete collection. Sure would.

With a sigh, she dropped her head in her hands. So optimistic thinking wasn't really getting her anywhere. A meow attracted her attention and she looked down at Akito. At least she wasn't trying to give the poor girl evil headaches. She lifted the white kitten into her lap and started to slowly stroke her fur. Yeah; no headaches from the kitty. Suke sat on her other side, lounging on the green grass. At this time of year, the temperature was sort of... fluctuating. Cold in the morning, hot during the day. Not fun temperatures. Honestly she quite preferred the cold. At least it involved dressing in more clothing then less... which brought her to another topic. Getting sick. Had she ever told Akito that she was afraid [deathly afraid] of hospitals...? She knew Sasuke knew. Therefore he would never ever take her to those evil places. Yep. Eviiiil.

"I'm hopeless," she groaned.

That's what I've been telling you for years now. You just never listen.
Humph. Shut it you. You're killing my head...
Poor baby... Fine. But after this meeting Akito thing, we have to hunt down that Uchiha. Agreed?
Agreed. And since when did you not complain about Akito?
...You have screwed up my views on people. Therefore I don't "hate" Akito anymore. He makes you happy. Happy you remain. I'm happy. End of story.

The Jaganshi giggled slightly but smiled all the same. Same old Kage... Sort of. Oohh! I should have a slumbah party with Akito in the Room of Requirement~! She nearly clapped her hands. That would be a great idea! That whole Sasuke thing would just have to be... postponed. She needed to spend time with Akito and dammit she would! No matter what Kage said. She needed 'friend time'. And 'friend time' did not add in with 'Sasuke time'. 'Sasuke time' would have to come later... like tomorrow or something... It wasn't her fault! Honest! It's just... she hadn't spent time with Akito or anything and she missed him, yeah? That wasn't so bad. Forbid leaned forward and ran her hand through the water near her feet. She was sitting Indian-style on the bank actually. Having nothing more to do and all that good stuff.

Except a whole lot of thinking that is. What a way tot spend the day. She removed her hand from the water and watched droplets fall at an fast pace for a moment before slowing. It was really the only interesting to stare at at this time. Perhaps Akito would be here soon... That'd be nice...

Forbid-chan calls, and Akki-chan answers.

There was a tired, serene smile on her face today. She was still recovering from the few nights ago's events. But would she tell Forbid-chan? No, no, that would never do, you see. Akki-chan was exhausted to her breaking point, having gone the last few nights sleepless and the days struggling to maintain consciousness. The bruises underneath her eyes were starting to become defined from a short distance, as opposed to only visible up close.

Poor, tired Akito.

But because of the "urgency" of Forbid-chan's letter, Akki couldn't refuse. She liked it outside anyway. It calmed her nerves. Especially around Walker Lake. She absolutely loved how the waves lapped ever-so-quietly against the shore of sorts. And it was where... What happened those few (several?) nights ago... No, she wouldn't say. Not yet. Not around Forbid-chan.

But would it be a crime to not tell the little sister of her big bubby's great nighttime expeditions, wouldn't it? A tiring, confusing web, in all cases. To tell or not to tell; that was the question. She'd have to answer it eventually. Or, rather, soon. Soon was much more fitting. Especially since she was about to encounter the exact person whom she'd have to answer to anyway. How terrible.

There were specks by the shore. Purple. White. Black. Was Akki-chan's vision going? No... She could tell it was Forbid-chan, only because of the strikingly unsual hue of purple that the Jaganshi had decided to use as a hair color. Such were the ways of Forbid. Akki-chan's smile became more genuine, less tired and painted on. Her feet carried her, in her black suit, towards the purple blob, which was just the slightest bit shiny.

"Kittens..." she murmured as she stopped next to Forbid-chan. She knelt silently, effortlessly, and a pale hand, shaking from exhaustion and sleeplessness, slowly made its way over to the white kitty's head. Skin touched fur and Akki automatically recoiled just a bit, a flinch. It was much softer than Akki's hair, probably. Maybe it was all just in her head.

Probably.

She fully knelt, then settled her weight to the side so that she was at least mostly sitting. She stared at the kitty. What was its name? He or she? Why did Akki-chan feel "magically" drawn to the white kitty, as opposed to the black one? Maybe the black kitty was a meanie... And the white kitty didn't seem to mind. The black kitty was familiar... Sasuke? Was that it? Was that the kitty's name?

Well, Akki-chan automatically liked the white kitty better. The white kitty was nicer. It was a moment before Akki-chan realized that white kitty was already on somebody's lap, being stroked by that certain somebody. Forbid-chan, of course. She contorted her face for just a moment, not wanting to leave. But she broke contact wearily, hand still shaking desperately, pulling away from white kitty. It was rude to pet a pet when someone else was. Wasn't it?

"Go-" she began, and hesitated almost immediately. "Sorry..." she murmured a moment afterwards, as if having just corrected herself of something bad or rude. "Sorry..." She looked out onto the lake. It was nice, all shimmery like that. Her mood immediately lightened. Her eyelids, however, due to lack of sleep, did not.

"So..." she said, turning to Forbid with a strange and unnatural calm. Akki wasn't calm. "Why am I here? Do you have something you wish to talk about? You know I'll listen to whatever you have to say, precious Forbid-chan." It sounded weird, rolling off of her tongue like that. The more she reviewed it in her mind, the less appropriate it seemed. Oh, well. She'd have to get over that.

Now was no time for second-guessing.

The widdle Jaganshi blinked wide dark blue eyes when another hand joined hers in the stroking of Akito-kitty. Pale and thin... Now then, whom did she know that resembled that. A grin immediately spread on her lips and she raised her eyes from the kitties white fur. Guess who? Akito-san! Yet... her grin dwindled down into a frown and she tilted her head to the side. Akito-san looked... tired. Very tired. She huffed slightly however didn't say anything. He looked like he 'twas having fun with miniature Akito. Except miniature Akito 'tis a girl and well yeah... Not that it really mattered right now.

Those pretty dark blue hues drifted over to Suke whom sat proudly with his head turned to the side. Her grin returned in bits and parts. Such a silly little kitty he was. Always so proud and, well, kind of Sasuke-like. 'Tis a strange kitteh. Though he was probably out to get her with the rest of the world... Oh one day she just knew something was going to happen to her and it would be tracked to the little kitty with blackened fur. Or he'd be smart enough to cover her tracks and they'd never find out! Oh my! ... Well... at least in her mind she could blame him. Maybe Akito-kitty will come to the rescue! Or Sasuke. Oh...

The drifting mind of the Jaganshi snapped back into orbit when Akito-san spoke up. However she cut off which caused Forbid tot tilt her head to the side and frown just the slightest. The following sorries made her eyes widen but she still didn't speak a word. Akito-san didn't look as though he was done yet so the miss Jaganshi would remain completely and totally silent. Or something like that... Nnn. She curled her fingers in Akito-kitty's pretty ivory fur and played with it in silence; just listening this time.

"A-ano? Oh! Forbid-chan decided that if anything happened she's always tell Akito-san! So what I wanted to tell you is that Sasuke kissed me." She fell into silence for a moment, brows furrowed. "And I don't know what to do about it." A nod followed that declaration. Apparently her head had stopped hurting... Suke nudged her hand and sauntered around her to sit at Akito-san's side. His tail flicked to and fro impatiently. which only caused the Jaganshi confusion. Just what was that kitten- oh. For a second there she had forgotten all about that.

Aki slid off her lap and stared up at her with wide shiny eyes. A pretty, pretty kitty. But... Forbid moved closer to Akito-san and tilted her head to the side once more, only she was observing this time. Was Akito-san even sleeping at night? Naps were good too... The Mihael frowned as she had before and rested a hand on Akito-san's forehead. He didn't seem sick or anything. Nya... Widdle miss Forbid-chan didn't like it at all though. Nuh uh. Bags under the eyes 'twas a sign of no sleep. So what did that mean? ... Maybe they should go to the Hospital Wing... Mentally she cringed. Evil place that was.

Then again maybe she should just sit still. It seemed she was having a problem with that at the current time. Yeah... That'd probably be the best idea. To remain calm and quiet and still. So seeing as this was the only she could come up with, she leaned backward and tried not to fidget. Nn. 'Twasn't any easy thing for the Jaganshi to accomplish. Pfft. Sitting still wasn't fun after all. But now she had to think of Akito-san sooo...

"Ano, has Akito-san been sleeping...?"

Both her voice and eyes showed her unhappiness and the very likely possibility. That wouldn't be good... Ano, I wonder what can make Akito-san sleep... Her 'solution' was having Sasuke make her go all with the unconsciousness. At least, after he knew better then to take her to that evil widdle Hospital Wing. Nnn... but somehow she couldn't see herself doing that to Akito-san [-.-' Course not]. Dark blue drifted down to Aki who sat much as Suke did, just a tad more relaxed. Forbid grinned at her and motioned toward Akito-san. For a moment, Aki didn't move but soon she padded up to Akito-san and attempted her luck at getting in his lap. In the end, she succeeded.

Suke was then promptly lifted by Forbid and placed in her lap.

"There! Now you can pet Aki and I can pet Suke. We all win!"

She 'twas the Kage-proclaimed Jumper-Arounder when it came to Topics. That she was.

Akki-chan blinked slowly and waited for her tired eyes to re-focus in on Forbid-chan. The upperclassman seemed... concerned for some reason. Just a moment ago she'd be smiling like the silly girl she was. And then her face fell... It wasn't Akito herself, was it? She blinked again, slowly, still trying to get her bearings about her and failing terribly, and looked back towards the lapping water. She allowed herself to smile, just a little.

Her fingers felt coarse in their skin after petting the cute, fluffy white kitty. Her slate optics began to sting from staring for so long. If she closed her eyes, she was so afraid they might not open again... She would fall asleep forever... Some sleep was better than no sleep, though, right? She let herself blink, and she almost didn't open her heavy eyelids again. But, sure enough, something in her brain triggered the impulse to open her eyes. No. Today was not the day to sleep, unfortunately... She sighed and continued to stare blankly out onto the water, which still glittered brightly as ever.

She longed to pet that kitten again. But Forbid-chan might get angry...

Forbid spoke her response. Sasuke... She wasn't aware that he'd had romantic inclinations towards the Jaganshi girl... Then again, she had liked him for quite some time before he turned her down on... Valentine's Day? Yes, Valentine's Day. Akki-chan was not about to lose her memory to her insomnia.

"That's nice," she mumbled. "If it makes you happy, then I'm happy..." She suddenly, as if she'd been nodding off and something startled her into awakening fully, remembered the rest of Forbid's statement. She enjoyed the prosepect of being the confidence, but she had no idea why Forbid-chan wanted to do something about a kiss. It was just a kiss, not something up for debate, surely.

Then again, it was Forbid. All that was really remaining for questioning was the fact that Gaara had just come back. She was still dating him... Wasn't she? Maybe she just decided to give up on Mr. Hard-to-get and... But Akito still couldn't get it. Sasuke kissed her, but he'd turned her down on Valentine's Day (which seemed oh-so long ago...). Gaara had left without warning or goodbye, and then suddenly came back without warning or hello. These people... These people...

Her vision swam, but she managed to keep herself balanced and her head from drooping. She felt prying mind-noise. Her eyes shut and she let herself sway, just a little, let the annoying hum of thinking peoples die away. Ever since she'd fought the curse her mother had placed on her, her health was plummeting. She was exhausted. She didn't go to classes (though that wasn't quite a surprise, now that she thought about it). She could barely keep herself upright. At least she hadn't gotten seriously ill yet...

She almost didn't hear Forbid continue with a question. In response, Akito shook her head slowly, stunned that she would answer such an outright question so bluntly, without struggle. She was too tired to struggle... She shook her head again, and her lips peeled apart. "No... Not really, Forbid-chan..." She sighed, breath wavering.

And then she realized Forbid-chan was touching her forehead. It wasn't a probing touch... Not one-fingered, trying to get Akki-chan to back down from something. It was inquisitive, and curious, but concerned at the very least. She flushed, but didn't say anything. Her eyes were open again and she stared dully at the grass by Forbid-chan's waist. She didn't mind, really. It was a bit embarassing but not too bad. At least it showed somebody in the world cared for Akki-chan...

She found herself tracking the movements of the two kittens. Suke wanted to be in between Forbid and Akki-chan, but for what reason escaped her at the moment. And the white kitty joined him. What was the white kitty's name? Forbid-chan scooped up Suke, though Akki would have longed to hold him. He'd been patient with Akki the last time. Who knew about the white kitten...

A moment later, the white one had leapt onto her lap. Startled, but not quite upset, her eyes widened as much as their tired selves would allow, and then they relaxed. She slowly brought her hand up, the one still tingling from the absence of the soft, dry fur, and began to stroke the white kitty. Forbid spoke again, and it took a little while for Akki-chan to register. The kitty... had stolen Akito's name? No... No, she had to think sensibly. A kitten wouldn't steal her name...

The kitty's name was Akito as well... But Forbid-chan called her Aki...

"Why don't you call me Akki...?" she asked, her tired voice riddled with jealousy. But she said nothing more.

So Akito-san hadn't been getting any sleep. That wouldn't do. Nuh uh. And he looked so tired too... Nnn. That was bad... Though the Forbid had been just the slightest surprised when Akito-san actually told her. Usually people avoided telling her truths like that. Unless they just wanted to be really blunt... Maybe Akito-san was just so tired he couldn't be bothered with lying. That sounded plausible enough. Her fingers weaved themselves into Suke's fur as she watched Akito-san and Aki... She zoned out enough to almost miss what it was Akito-san said. Dark blue hues widened slightly. Was he jealous of little Aki? The Jaganshi could always call the kitten Akito and Akito-san Akki. It didn't bother her either way. She didn't mind...

If it would make her friend hoppeh, than why should she? She shifted slightly and tilted her head to the side. So than... Akito-san wanted to be called Akki, yeah? Yeah. And Akit- Akki wasn't feeling all that well. Therefore the Mihael should abide to his commands. It was only fair. Suke wriggled in her lap, attempting to re-attract her attention from where it had drifted. Moe, moe. Such a demanding kitty-cat he was. At least he stopped scratching her... That sort of thing hurt you know and- Stay on topic!

"Ano, Akito-san wants to be called Akki? Forbid-chan will do that!"

A smile spread across her lips and she leaned back slightly. Yes, yes. That she would do. 'Twas only fair... Yet slowly the smile dwindled back into an almost-frowning state. After all, Akki-san had said that he hadn't been sleeping. That wasn't good at all... Tsk, tsk. Maybe he needed some of that Night-quil stuffz? Since the Hospital Wing wasn't a place she necessarily wanted to visit... Besides, that medicine worked just as fine. It made you all drowsy... That had to work. Nnn. And if it didn't than a visit to the Hospital Wing just might be in order. Akki-san hadn't what was causing the lack-of-sleep though. So that might be the best question right now...

I feel nosy. Nya... Technically it wasn't her business. It was Akki-san's business and his business alone... That wouldn't make her a very good friend though, would it? Nuh uh. And Akki-san was her best friend. To just ignore the signs would be... non-friend-like. It 'twas bad. 'Twasn't something she should do. Or maybe she was just making a big deal out of nothing? That was a nice thought... Now if only it was actually true. There was a low chance that was the truth especially with her lack of luck. And my did she have a lack of luck. There must be a Detour sign placed somewhere around her...

Moe, moe... Such confusing thoughts and way too many to have at one time. Her random additions certainly weren't making it any better. If anything, it made it worse. How suck-eh. Forbid leaned back on one of her hands, scrutinizing Akki-san's appearance. Night-quil probably would be a good idea... and a soft pillow... and bed... and milk! Nyaaa~ I'm only making myself sleepy. Nnn. Bad Forbid-chan! A quick shake of her head and she was clear of her widdle drifting thoughts. They took a detour for the time being. Focus...

"Ano, Akki-san... Why aren't you sleeping?"

'Twas a nice enough question. Otherwise she'd end up with a more worried disposition. That wouldn't do well. Hmm... Apparently her fingers had stilled once more since Suke decided that was the perfect moment to check out his teeth. His sharpened teeth. She cringed slightly and glared down at said obsidian feline. That didn't exactly not hurt. Such a serious kitten indeed. And demanding too. Didn't I already mention that...? Moe. With a sigh she resumed the stroking of Suke's fur. It caused a purr to gently rumble throughout his small body. At least he was no longer upset with her.

The fifteen-year-old released another, near-silent sigh. These sort of things were always so troublesome no matter who they dealt with... Which reminded her, she forgot all about the 'Sasuke-problem'. Or whatever it 'twould be called. But she supposed the importance of that compared to Akki-san's health was quite... small. She could deal with it on her own, on her own time. Akki-san didn't need to be dragged in to it and Kage could assist her. Simple. Perfect. Now back to the topic of Akki-san's health. What symptoms did he have? Headache? Stomachache? Anything that had 'ache' in it? Nnn. There was a great many things that could be the problem of course that was of no use to her.

A visit to the Hospital Wing might just be in order after all... as she had thought of earlier. Sadly. Akki-san had to get better though. She'd have no one to talk to otherwise... and he was her best friend...

Haven't you noticed by now? Your 'Akki-san' is practically always sick.

The Jaganshi frowned immediately after that declaration. Of course she had noticed. It was quite a bit hard not to. Moe, moe. Kage had a point though. Was Akki-san just... 'weak' naturally? Always sick and the likes; it made sense, no? Too much to think about... Her mind needed a break. A very... long... uninterrupted break. However that was not meant to be... Nya, nya~
