Would ya say this is part 2 now? (Ashley Lovegood)

Bryce still held onto Ashley's hand so she wouldn't get scared at all. He knew once before she gotten scared while she was in here with his twin Ashley Littrell but that was a long time ago. He looked over at Ashley and could tell that she was getting scared all over again. "It's ok Ash" he told her as he smiled at her. "I'm right here with you" he then told her as he smiled to her.

How did she get talked into this? This had to be the worst idea Bryce had ever had. Dragging poor little Ashley to the maze. It was so unfair! "Yeah..." That was all she could say she her blue eyes glanced around frantically, looking for something that was out of place, signaling danger. She knew Bryce would not ditch her like his twin had but still.... even if she had gone into the maze with Morgan she would be just as skittish.

"Why me?" She muttered in a low voice to herself, looking down at her shoes. She felt like a little kid. A scared little kid who needed to hold someones hand. In her opinion this was pathetic.

Bryce looked at her "Are you ok?" he then asked her as he stoped and let go of her hand. He looked around and then looked back at her again. "Do you not want to go in there?" he asked her as he pointed the maze to her. Himself on the other hand would like to go in there and wonder around.

Oh, sure. Now he asks! Her eyes made there way to look at his face as he let go of her hand. "No, I'm fine..... I'm going to be a little jumpy though..." She trailed off, her eyes following his finger as it pointed to the depth of the maze. He had gotten it into her head that she needed to venture into that place. To face her stupid fear. She felt like hitting herself in the head, but resisted with a great effort.

With a sigh, she slowly put one foot in front of another and eventually made it to the entrance of the maze. She stopped, her eyes rising to meet the top of the tall green hedge. "You commin?" She asked, turning back to Bryce. She was going to do this even if it killed her. She was not going to stay afraid of the maze forever.

Bryce watched her walked towards the maze and then looked up at the maze. He then watched her turned around and looked at him. "Yeah I'm coming" he told her as he ran towards her. He then looked at the maze and then looked over at her. "You ready?" he then asked her as he smiled at her.

Ashley took in a deep breath. She would never be ready but she might as well get it over it. She let it out in a large gust, looking at Bryce as he stood beside her. "No, but let's go before common sense catches up with me," She joked, taking his hand and stepping into the maze.

The dark sky caused her senses to sky rocket. Every noise made her head turn in the direction of which it came from. She jumped half a dozen times before she told herself to calm down. Nothing was going to happen.... or so she hoped.

Bryce held her hand and looked at her "It's ok Ash" he told her as he still walked into the maze. He looked around and looked back at her and smiled "Let's go this way" he told her as he smiled to her. He still held her hand while he turned right and took her with him.

Ashley would have smiled back, but her lips had seemed to have been glued shut. She simple nodded and followed his lead. Better he lead. She would really feel like a moron if she got them both lost in this hopeless maze. She could just see them having to wait to be found by a teacher because they were so turned around by her poor leading skills.

She followed his lead, trying to keep from jumping too much. She needed to get a grip on herself before she did something really stupid to make a fool of herself. And what happens next? She made a fool or herself just moments later. As a snap of a twig could be heard, she squealed sightly and stopped suddenly in her tracks, searching frantically for the source of the noise. What was she doing? She should be pulling out her wand like she did last time she was here, but somehow, along with her lips, her hands seemed unable to move and grasp her wand.

Bryce heard the twig snap he grabbed his wond out of his shorts. He looked back at Ashley "It's ok" he told her as he still held onto her hand and had her start to walk with him. He looked ahead and bit his lower lip "Is anyone out there?" he asked out loud. He had hope that no one was in the maze with them so Ashley wouldn't get scared at all.

She didn't even seem to hear him as he tired to reassure her. Her blue eyes were still fixed on the stop from which the disturbance had been conjured from. She swallowed hard, trying to get a hold on herself. 'Nothing is going to happen,' She told herself repeatedly, not willing to be stunned by fear. She took in a large lungful of air and slowly lowered her hand to her back pocket, from which she withdrew her wand.

She kept her hand tight around her wand and the other firmly holding Bryce's. She was not going to run away. She was sick of the feeling of being afraid like a child. She had a few fears and she was not going to let this one hold her back. Her hands, which had began to shake, were still vibrating slightly but she was still ready for what ever came at them.

Or not......

She had been expecting something much worse than what happed out from under the thick bushes. A bunny. Who knew bunnies could be so evil. Her hand relaxed on her wand and she laughed with relief, a shaky and unstable sound. "Geez, thanks thumper for giving me a heart attack," She said sarcastically in a murmur. She recognized the rabbit from one of her trips to the Lake. Brady had named the small animal and right now she was not liking the small animal that he had named. She sighed and lowered her eyes to the ground, her arm loose beside her, she felt so stupid at the moment for being afraid of her little friend. She was just waiting for the laugh that would come from Bryce at her little episode.

Bryce looked at the bunny and then started to laugh. He then put his wand back in his shorts and looked at Lovegood. "You might as well give me a heart attack. What am I suppose to do with you?" he then told her as he let go of her and and started to walk head from her. He just shook his head and rolled his eyes at the same time so she wouldn't see him do it at all.

Ashley moaned. Now she really felt like a moron. Why did she have to be such a scardy cat? As he let go of her hand and began to walk away from her, her eyes grew wider and she ran to keep up. "And who said you could let go?" She demanded, taking his hand once again. The only reason she was holding his hand was because she was afraid of falling apart if she did not.

She pushed that thought out of her mind and focused on the dirt path ahead of them. The trail forked a few feet away and with her sense of direction becoming disoriented because of her fear she looked up at Bryce for the answer. "Which way?" She asked with a small smile.

Bryce stoped and looked at her "I do, besides I think your ready to walk by me without holding my hand" he told her as he let go of her hand once more. "Look I told ya before we came in here I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to be right by your side at all times" he told her as he smiled to her once more.

He then looked ahead and thought about it for a few minutes "Why don't we go left?" he then asked her as he looked back at her. "Shall we go?" he then asked her as he put his hand out to show her the way while he waited for her to start walking with him.

For one fleeting moment she didn't want to let go out of fear. But moments later she realized that she was being beyond ridiculous. She was a fifth year and she was holding onto sanity by holding his hand. That was just sad. "Your right.... and I know your not going anywhere." She added with a smile that turned into a grin. "Because if you did, I would hunt you down and you probably would be waking up in the hospital wing," She added, walking ahead a bit, the grin still on her face.

She nodded in a agreement and began to walk once more beside him. "So...." What was there to say now? She could think of nothing to say for the moment so she kept quiet. Her eyes wandered around the maze, walking all the while. The maze was not as scary as she had remembered it, nothing was chasing them, that was a plus and there seemed to be no danger around. She finally began to relax, letting her muscles loosen as they walked on.

Bryce stoped and looked at her "You think I should be scared of you?... I don't think so!" he then told her as he still stood there and watched her walk away from him. He wondered how much longer would she soon to find out that he wasn't right by her side. He grinned at the thought of that and still watched her walked even more ahead.

Bryce then decided to run up to her and walk with her again. He then stoped once more when he saw her not talking. "Oh please tell me that this isn't happening?" he told her as he had a shock look on his face. "Please tell me for once you accually don't have something to say Ash" he then told her as he started to grinn at her this time.

Ashley laughed aloud at his comment. "You should be.... Fifth years can be very scary when they want to be," She said, letting her arms come behind her and locking them there. She still walked on, aware that he was no longer by her side. It was fine for a while but after a few more feet she got to a certain point when she began to feel unsteady again. She looked over her shoulder with a forced smile, "You commin slow poke!?!" She yelled over her shoulder at him, pausing in her step.

Oh please tell me that this isn't happening?

Her expression shifted to become a questioning look. "What....?" She didn't even finish as he continued, comprehension dawning upon her. That was mean! She put on a face of mock hurtfulness. "I don't talk that much!" She retorted, she sped up her pace and walked on with her nose in the air. She didn't talk that much.... did she?

Bryce stoped again and this time started to laugh "Ash I was joking around" he told her as he ran up to her and grabbed her arm. "Look I'm sorry" he then told her as he still had that grinn on his face. He looked around for a few minutes and then back to her again. "Whitch way would you like to go?" he then asked her as he smiled to her again.

He grabbed her arm to keep her from walking off with her fake anger. She knew that he was joking, but it was still fun to pretend that he had offended her. Like she could ever be mad at him. It was like the impossible task. She looked back at him, giving him a critical look. It took all she had to not burst out laughing, but the 'evil' look did not last long before it vanished to make way for a bright grin. "Your forgiven." she replied with a short laugh.

Which way did she want to go? Her blue eyes glanced around at the many paths they could take, too many. "I thought we decided that me picking which way we went was a bad idea." She stated, her eyes falling upon him once again with a smile. "I might get us impossibly lost or something." They could be lost forever if she chose the path. Then again, that might just be from the lack of confidence she felt in the presence of the tall hedges.

Bryce looked at her "I really don't think that you could get us lost. Yeah maybe you would get lost with my twin Ashley but you could never get lost with me" he told her as he grinned at her. He then looked down the hall in the maze and looked back at Lovegood. "So which way would you like to go?" he then asked her once more as he smiled to her again.

Ash grinned up at him. "Yeah, that's probably true." She could see herself and Ashley getting lost in this tangle of a maze, but not Bryce. He would probably know how to get out even if she got them lost. Thank heavens for that. Hmm, well now that that was taken care of, she now had a new task on her hands. Picking a direction. Her blue eyes looked from one possibility to the next. Why was decision making so hard?

"How about...... this way?" She asked, pointing to the path that veered off to the right. It looked safe.... enough.
