Braced for the impact of life (Rob)

She walked Straight into the maze. She knew there was nothing to be afraid of. Suddenly she noticed some curiousity in the air. She kept getting the feeling she was being followed. Her grip tightened on the wand in her hand. She vacantly heard an owl far off. A wind swept up and blew her hair and over sized My Chem shirt around. When it settled her black hair had come to rest over one of her electric blue eyes. She still felt like she was being followed. Maybe she could scare her follower. Letting her fangs out, she listened intently to the sounds about her. A twig snapped nearby. Fangs bared and wand outstretched, she spun around.

"Who's there?"She snarled down the hedge lined path.

It was about time that he had finally gone into the maze. Rob saw a figure ahead of him in the maze and noticed that it was a young girl. He saw her stop and spin around but he knew that she hadn't seen him because he moved as fast as he could and he came up behind her and noticing that she had her wand out he also pulled out his wand before he spoke and he said in a sarcastic voice"Why are you so jumpy it's just a maze."

"I'm not jumpy." Ashleigh insisted. "Coming in here is what I do every morning. I know it like the back of my hand. Whichis never going to change. I'm jumpy because I felt like I was being followed. Was that you?"

She studied the boy. He was a good-looking lad and much older than her. She waited for his confusion at her comment about her hand never changing. He wouldn't know until she smiled.

"I'm Ashleigh."

"Well it sure seemed like you where jumpy to me when you herd me coming up behind you, but I didn't let you see me until I had said something to you. I meen I could have kept following you till you left the maze and you would've never had herd me."Rob said looking at the young girl and then when she introduced herself he said"It's nice to meet you I'm Rob, So what year are you in?"

"I'm in 1st year. Ravenclaw. You're hufflepuff aren't you? My best friend's in there. He's real cool. His name's Alexander."

Ashleigh studied Rob hard. "So what year are you in?"

She suddenly saw Alex's kitten Mischief appear around the corner behind Rob. She walked over and picked the curious kitten up.

"And I knew someone was there. You were curious weren't you?"

"Well I'm a 5th year and yeah I'm from hufflepuff, and I've never met alexander. Who's cat is that?"He said looking at the cat that Ashleigh had just picked up. And then when she said that she knew someone was there and then she asked if he was curious he said"Just a little bit. So where are you from?"

"It's Alex's. Actually it's name is Michief. It's probably trying to kill off all the little robins."

She let the cat run off through the hedges.

"I knew it. There was that feeling of curiousity. I have a sixth sense for these kind of things."

She looked around herself. They were only a little way from the entrance. She guessed she could get to know this guy better.

"I'm from Manchester, in North West England. You?"

Rob looked at her as she told him whos cat it was and then he watched the cat run off through the hedges. He looked at ashleigh when she told him where she was from he said"Thats cool, I'm from the United States of America. Hey want to walk through the maze with me?"Hoping she would say yes so he could get to know her better because he felt like she needed more friends.

"Wow the states! What's it like over there?"

She looked Rob up and down. He seemed nice enough.

Ashleigh smiled. "Yeah I'll walk with you. So... What's your favourite class here at trio's?"

((Short and rubbish. But I'm working on my Maths homework still.))

"Well where I lived it was green basically and had alot of trees."He said in answer to her question and then he herd her agree to walk with him through the maze and he started walking into the depths of the maze. He turned around and saw her still standing there and then he asked"Are you coming or what?"

Ashleigh walked over and they began to walk through the maze.

"Sorry. I daydream a lot. Too much probably. So like I said, what's your favourite class here at trio's?"

She noticed that he still hadn't answered her earlier question.

"Well my favorite classes would have to be Defense against the dark arts, charms, potions, and flying. What about you whats your favorite classess here?"He answered her question and so he walked on through the maze.
