Faline had entered the maze smiling, having no idea what was in store for her. At first, she didn't mind being alone. Afterall, it was still light outside. But then the sun was slowly sinking, and she was no closer to the exit than when she came in. Faline took another look around. Correction: I was closer when I came in... She'd been lsot for at least a few hours, and had desperately wanted to send sparks in the air. Too bad she didn't remember the spell.
Her eyes were glistening with unshed tears as she hit, yet another, dead end. Why is this happening? Why couldn't I be content with just sitting in the common room, getting to know people! The worst thing of all was the fatc that she was alone. If one of her muggle friends had been there, they would've had loads of fun, not caring that they were lost. Thinking of them made her miss them already.
Faline wiped the tears from her cheeks and turned around, heading back the way she came. The only problem was, she wasn't sure which way she'd come from. I waish Selene were here. She'd be able to help me... She knew this wasn't true, becasue Selene had told her of all the times she had gottne lost, but she just wished someone would find her. At least they could send the sparks in the air for her! She waited in the center of the intersection, not knowing which way to go.

It was a warm evening, but Ju had nothing to do. She wasn't sure if she liked this situation or not. Sure, it made her frusterated that the whole world was out having fun when Ju was bored, but these situations often lead to fun and crazy happenings. She was determined that she'd run into something crazy, fun, or at least something less boring than what was in store for her if she spent another summer evening in the common room. She heard that there was some maze around the Hogwarts grounds. She'd gone in the occasional cornfield maze back at home, but she knew this would be much better than the cornfield ones. After all, you could find your way out of those in a mere ten minutes. Ju had no doubts that she'd make it out of the maze, but she knew it would take some thinking and a lot of time. She immediately decided to enter the maze. Dead end after dead end had passed and the exit was nowhere to be found. She didn't know what time it was, but judging by how low the sun was, it must've been around eight o'clock. Ju began to get nervous. She still knew she'd make it out, but what would happen if she didn't make it out until noon tomorrow? She'd miss valuable sleep time, a couple of classes, and homework time she'd never get back. Time was her enemy now, not logic. Ju broke into a run, trying to get out quickly. Sure, this was fun, but it was getting late. Not looking where she was going, she felt a thud on her side and stumbled backwards. She managed not to fall, but she was still trying to regain her balance. After a few seconds of confusion, her senses told her that she bumped into a girl. She knew she was a fellow first year because they were in a few of the same classes together. But what was her name? Ju had no idea. She just hoped that she didn't hurt the girl. "Sorry about that! I didn't mean to!" Ju then realized that although she apologized, she was being rude. "I'm Ju Huang, Ravenclaw first year."
Faline was trying to control her crying when out of nowhere WHAM! Faline stumbled backwards trying to regain her balance, not knowing what had hit her. What if it was an animal that's gonna come back and attack me! A brief moment of panic filled her. Think reasonably. It was probably just a person. A PERSON! Faline turned and saw a girl standing there, looking to be about her age.
Faline heard the girl apologize, and she felt relief fill her. The person wasn't going to blame her for the run in. "It was my fault. I shouldn't of been standing in the middle of the intersection. My name's Faline Falicon. I'm first year Ravenclaw as well," she stated, surprised that she'd met someone in the same year and house. She hadn't come across that yet. Then again, she hadn't come across any friends yet...

Great. Ju managed to push someone over. The girl didn't look too happy, considering she had tears in her eyes. What would happen if she twisted her ankle when she fell? 'I could never live with myself if after only being here for one week, I already have a reason to feel guilty,' she thought to herself. "It was my fault. I shouldn't of been standing in the middle of the intersection. My name's Faline Falicon. I'm first year Ravenclaw as well,". Relief flooded over her. She seemed alright, but you could never tell. Ai, for instance, once walked around with glass stuck in her foot for a whole day. She knew about it, but didn't want to tell anyone. Of course, she was only three then, but still. It could happen, right? "No, don't worry about it. I should've watched where I was going. Phew, I thought I was the only Ravenclaw first year,"Ju said with a smile. "Here..." she reached her hand out to Faline to help her up. She was still on the ground. "And by the way, do you know how to get out of here? I've been trying to figure that out for a couple of hours now," Ju added.
Faline sighed with relief. The other girl seemed extremely nice, a ton nicer than she had hoped. She grabbed Ju's hand as the fellow Ravenclaw helped her up, happy that she probably had a new friend. Actually, she would have her first friend at a magic school. Faline loved the wizarding school, she just hadn't managed to make any friends yet. It wasn't like she was outgoing, and she was pretty shy. Not the best qualities for making friends.
"Thanks. I haven't met any other first year Ravenclaws either..." she replied as she thought back. She couldn't remember if there were any in her classes, but there had to be more than just them, right? It didn't really matter anyways. It wasn't like she was expecting to have friends already, but she could've made them sooner. And not by running into them, literally, in a maze. Ju then asked if she knew the way out. "I've been out here for forever! The sun was still out when I started..." Her eyes swelled up with tears of fristration as she spoke, but she tried to hold them back.
