During the day, Demi saw things as they were. Nothing except for the lake could spark imagination. At night, her favorite time of day, a tree could be a skeleton's hand, roses didn't have specific reds and pinks and whites, but shades of blue and gray, with hints of their natural colors. At night, nothing was as it seemed, unless there was a bright moon.
This night, however, the moon was covered by layers of clouds, and the light was filtered through the condensation. In fact, this night could be considered eerie to some people. To Demi, it was perfect for a walk. Soon it would be her birthday. She was mimicking the same trip as last year, only she knew that chances were, no one would bother her.
Her hands were as deep in the pockets of the zip-up hoodie [[the one in the sig]] as they could be. Going between the path and the sky, Demi sighed and tried to forget the rather bad mood she had been in the last few days. She was stuck in the mood, and couldn't manage to pull herself out of it like she normally could.
Stopping a ways down the lane, Demi sat down on a bench, looking towards the forest. Memorizing the view, she managed to forget for a time what time of year it was. If it wasn't for the letter Shania sent her, Demi knew chances were she wouldn't have remembered the days until it came to her birthday. Now, she was well aware of the days and her internal calander was set. Granted the days were almost over, but the week was still difficult for her.
