Brady walked down to the lake. He held a letter in one hand and his black sweatshirt in the other. The letter was from his grandmother. It was quite intresting. Him and his grandmoter weren't too close and he wasn't expecting her to write anything to him.

He walked down and sat under a tree. He wore his usally stuff. His vans and a black ACDC t shirt with black tight jeans. He droped his sweatshit to his side and opened the envelope shreading it in half. He leafed through the pages of he letter. There was quite a lot she wrote....

Dear Brady,

Congraulations on making it into Hogwarts. Your grandfather and I are so pround or you but as you may have guessed that is not the reason I'm am contacting you.

Through the past year we have had our disagreements between us and between our family's since your Cristabel has passed away. Your father and I had a som tea togather and we talked things through. Your father has passed his custidy over you and Tyler to us. He is unfit, as we both agre, to carry on taking care of you to. I think you may have noticed. He hasn't come home in weeks and practically lives in that vile office of his. Your things will be moved to your room at our house and you will come to us on your vacation or you may choose to stay there. Whatever, pleases your wishes....

Brady couldn't read on. The letter got bleary. He never thought his dad would too abanden them. Yes, he had to take care of the whole house since mom passed away and he has stayed a work late and sometimes not come home but how could he do this. He knew hoe they hated grnadma and grandpa. He sighed and ripped the letter with all his anger and let the wind carry it away. He wondered what his brother was doing. Maybe he should write back. He didn't know anymore what he should do. Everyone had abanded him. He sighed and closed his eyes and hung his head i his lap. He looked up at he lake. It seemed as tought it was going to rain. He didn't have the strength to gt up. He sat there as down pours of water got dumped onto is head and footsteps aproached...

As Faron stepped out of the stuffy air of the castle and breathed in the rainy smell of the lake she set out in hopes of finding someone to talk to. She stopped almost instantly as she saw what looked like a boy her age with his head in his lap. It started to rain slowly but surley. Faron's mind was debating what to do at this newfangled sight.

Should I ask whats wrong and ask if he needs help?
NO! Leave the dude alone and mind your own buissness!!
What if he's hurt or something?!
Who cares?Mind your own buissness and keep to urself!!!

Ofcourse one side of Faron's mind always won. The one that was just a bit snooty.

She walked to the place he was sitting. "Um sorry to bother you.Are you...ok??"

Brady sat there as sadness hung over him. The footsteps got closer and closer til he heared a soft voice over the rain say something. He looked up at a girl. She was in the same year., He could tell. They both had that new glow of adventure.

"Um sorry to bother you.Are you...ok??"

He smilied up at her. He wondered if he should tell her the truth or force another smilie on his face. It was usless. He was the worst lier in the world anyway. He slumbed down and sighed. "No, everything is not okay.." He said sighing. Everything here was going so well before that stupid letter. He would never understand why his dad abanded them. He gulped and than looked up at her. This probably wasn't the greatest place to talk. Sitting out in the rain. He sighed. Maybe they should head in. He didn't say anything thought. He decied that when she was ready they would go. She hadn't complained yet...

He looked around them. The rain had dimed down slightly. He looked up at he girl. He stood up and brushed some dirt of himself. Not a very good day to have a breck down. This was a first. He had always been the stable one. He wondered if he should write bto his brother. elp him out a little. He was the one who had to live there. That would be a good idea.

She heard the boy say; "No, everything is not ok."

Well, Faron was kind of expecting that to be the answer. He looked like he was about to say something but decided against it. There was a bit of uncomfortable silence as he got up. She decided to try and make the boy feel better by changing the subject.

"Oh. Well... I'm sorry about that. I'm Faron. 2nd year Hufflepuff." She wanted to shake hands, but for some reason changed her mind. "Some day,huh? Uh... you want to talk inside? I'm uh gettin a bit cold." She shifted in her spot as if to beckon him inside.

He looked at the girl. She looked a little fimilar but he probably had seen her in one of his clas. He wondered what she was doing out here when it was about to rain but what was he even doing out here? He knew if he asked that question she would ask it back and he franckly didn't have to answer and didn't feel like puzzling over it further more.

He sighed at the letter. This was just like his dad. Never realiable. He missed hism om a lot. It had been years since the incident but he could get over it. He looked at the black clouds above him threathing to pour rain onto his head. He made a face.

"Oh. Well... I'm sorry about that. I'm Faron. 2nd year Hufflepuff."

He looked at her for amoment. He was thankful for the change of topics. He stuffes the letter into his jeans pocket. He was going to forget about it. forget about everything. That was his dad's fault and for once he was going to deal with his life and without his or Tyler's help. He isghed. "Nice to meet you. I'm Brady. 2nd year Hufflepuff." He said smiling at her.

"Some day,huh? Uh... you want to talk inside? I'm uh gettin a bit cold."

He shurgged atwatched her shift postions. "Yeah, lets go.." He said stuffing his hands in hisp ockets to keep them warm. He didn't have a sweatshirt to ofer. He just speed up his walk hurying them inside. "I like this cold weather. It's a change." He said shurgging. The silance grew between them up onto there walk. He turned hish ead to the side andl ooked at her. "So, what's your favorite color." He said laughing at the randome topic he had brought upon them.

He looked cold just standing there. She then heard him ask a question.

"My favorite color would be.... blue. It may express the color of sadness, but its also the color of the daytime sky... you know with those white puffy clouds and beautiful sunlight.... well i just like it cuz its almost the color of 3/4 ths of the wrld. sorry. i'm getting a little carried away arent i?
