Sorry it's so long, darling. :]
Sorry it's so long, darling. :]
Oh dear. Avery Rosa Moretti was very in need of one thing and one thing only. Not chocolate, not candy, not sleep, not anything like that. It was a person. Jackson Alexander Hurley, to be exact. He had disappeared, and she missed him like a bankrupt person misses money. After their lovely little romantic picnic down by the lake, she'd realized even more the fact that she loved this boy. They discussed their future together, and she was very certain that she wanted to be with him forever. If it was possible to fall deeper into love, then Avery had.
When Jackson had disappeared almost immediately after their picnic, she got worried. Was he hurt? Was he expelled? Why wasn't he mailing her to tell her how he was? Or texting her or phoning her or e-mailing her? It killed her to not know anything of how he was or where he was and what he was doing. Now she understood how he felt when she disappeared for some time during their first year together. Gone off to Italy for an emergency and failed out of school before coming back in her first year again.
Maybe Mistuh Hurley was just having a family emergency as well. She would be relieved if it was so that she knew he was okay, but it was also kind of worrying to think that maybe his parents were sick. Maybe Telly was sick! Avery hadn't seen her around in awhile, after all. It made knots in her stomach to think of all this, and the girl had become quite depressed in the last few weeks. She had stayed in her dorm room all day, not bothering to go out except for classes and the occasional meal that she wrapped in napkins and brought back to her bed.
What was the point in going outside or wandering around the school if your boyfriend wasn't around? And one of your best friends wasn't speaking to you and the other had disappeared? She felt completely alone, even though she did have other friends and acquaintances. She just couldn't help feeling so alone; not seeing Jackson's face every day. When he came back, she would never ever let him out of her sight.
Thankfully, one day, something good happened. She had been sitting in her room thinking about Holden. He confused her greatly, because sometimes he acted really distant and didn't talk to her, and other times he tackle hugged her and told her he loved her. That had happened in History of Magic just the other day. So she didn't know if he was mad at her anymore. Guess not, if he was hugging and such. She'd have to hang out with him sometime. After all, she missed him loads.
Yet, the Mihael was shaken out of her thoughts by a tapping on the window. A school owl hopped inside when she opened it up and dropped a letter in front of her before flying off again. Closing the window, she picked it up, seeing that it was addressed to her. Opening it up, she was very happy to see very familiar writing inside of it. Jackson was back! Immediately, she wrote him a letter telling him to meet her.
Now, it was time for them to have their date. Avery had a nice romantic thing planned, and was very lucky to have scheduled their date on this particular night. Something special was going to happen, but I'm not going to tell you what. Anyways, it was very late - past curfew - and the night was already upon them. The sky was black, and stars twinkled merrily. There was a slight, cool breeze, but that's what the blankets were for.
Yes, Avery had blankets. Not only did she have a nice big neon green comforter for them to lay on, but she also had a white, rainbow polka-dotted one for them to lay under and two neon blue pillows. Other than that, she was levitating a bunch of candles as she walked. Up a trail she went in the Forbidden Forest, one of the main trails. It led up to a nice little spot on the top of a big, grassy cliff. Jackson could probably find it easily since she'd given him directions.
Laying the neon green blanket in the grass in the middle of the clearing on the cliff, she set down all of the candles. Quickly, she pointed her wand at each of the ten in turn and muttered, "Incendio." With each one lighted, she carefully levitated them all so that they were floating a little bit off the ground, creating some dim lighting for the couple. Luckily, the candles were magic and they would never burn out, nor would they drip wax everywhere.
Sitting on the blanket, she laid the black, rainbow polka-dotted one over top of her and stretched out her legs underneath it. Setting one neon blue pillow on the other half of the blanket and one on her side, she leaned back on her hands, gazing up at the stars with her bright blue eyes. In about an hour, the special thing would happen. Avery couldn't wait; she was so excited.
In a pair of light gray skinny jeans and a hot pink t-shirt with a rainbow on it, she waited for Jackson to arrive. She'd kicked off her pink and white converse and they were beside the blanket, her little feat clad in gray socks with turtles on them. Angel bites in her lips and her hair down in two low ponytails, she looked like her average self. She wasn't that beautiful, so she didn't know why Jackson liked her so much. Yet, she wouldn't question it, because she felt very lucky to have him.
Now the only thing left to make this night perfect was her boyfriend.
Her Microwave. ♥
