((ooc: I'm gonna be away until Thursday but this class will continue as normal without me for a couple days. I'll be extremely disappointed if anyone's late. You may, however, RP like you're already here. But if you RP coming in late, you will lose house points. You have been warned.))

Queety's stomach rumbled. She glanced at her watch. It was only 11:30 in the morning. Queety sighed. She really did not want to leave the classroom to get something to eat in the kitchens. Her stomach rumbled again. Queety glanced at her fourth years that were just leaving the classroom. Now she had a few minutes before the older years came. She had five minutes before classes start.

Her stomach rumbled again. Queety quickly flipped through her folders and pulled out a stack of papers. Placing them on her desk, she quickly wrote on the board:

Pop quiz is on my desk. Take it. I trust that you won't cheat. I'll be back with snacks.

Queety trusted that her students would do okay and ran out toward the kitchens.

Hip-hop-scotch! Or something like that... The little miss Jaganshi peered into the History of Magic classroom only to blink a couple times in surprise. She was first? Well... that was just abnormal... and strange. Bleh. She moved the rest of her body into the room and glanced around. Well, the Professor wasn't there... She shrugged and stared at the board, groaning. A pop quiz? Dang it. With another shrug she snatched one off the desk and tried to make herself invisible in the very back of the classroom. Her specialty.

A quick read over the questions and she started on them. ... Too much brain power to be used... Oh but she couldn't complain. Kage would then complain and it would become a complain-fest. No fun in that.

[Landon Tilbrook]

Landone wlaked into class. It was another boring class. He was the second student in. He nodded at the other girl and sat down. Pop quiz. He isghed. It was a good ting he had gone over his notes last night. He looked down at he questions...

There were two questions. It was easy enough. He didn't look around him but picked up a pencial and started to scratch away at his papaer answering his questions.

Jodi walked into the HOM classroom see a pop quiz. Pop quizzes had always been a favourite of Jodi's, not. Bt still, it owud be worse. Jodi walked and sat next to Landon. She pulled a notepad and a quill out of her robes, and placed them on the desk, before crossing her legs under the table.

"Hey Landon. Don't you just love quizzes. I sure know I do!" she said, poking her tounge out. "Atleast I went over notes last night. And we talked about this all last lesson, so I guess it shouldn't be too hard."

Jodi first wrote the two questions on the second page of her note book and ripped it out of her notebook, and placed the book aside. She was going to write a few notes first, before she had to start writing paragraphs.

She was only writing for a few minutes when she pulled out her wand, thought to herself 'accio paper' and watched as the top quiz sheet flew toward her. This shouldn't be too hard, she thought, looking down at her page almost full of note.

[Landon Tilbrook]

Jodi came and sat down next to him. He didn't know her to well, but she was nice. He smilied at her and looked down at the sheet of paper. He could do this... Right?

"Hey Landon. Don't you just love quizzes. I sure know I do! Atleast I went over notes last night. And we talked about this all last lesson, so I guess it shouldn't be too hard."

He nodded. She was probably right. He went over then otes too and they had talked about this lesson. "You, right.." He said shurgging. He looked at his quiz. Question number one was already filled out he only had one more question left but he was blocked. He couldn't think of it. He had went over this over and over but why couldn't he remember. Arghhh....! He sighed.

He sat there and tapped his pencial .He surfed thrugh his head trying to think of it when it poped open and found it. He stopped tapping is penical and began to right the second anser down. This quiz wasn't hard at all. But what he got on it will truley be the answer of that....

History of Magic wasn't one of Jackson's favourite subjects,he just hoped that kelly would show up and keep him company. He missed her so much, she never seemed to be around anymore. Humming to himself he slipped into the classroom, looking around very hopeful for his Frenchie-fry headed friend. Letting a sigh escape, he shook his head, getting the pop quiz off the front desk. Guh, he hated them.

Making his way to the back of the classroom, he slid into an empty seat, pulling out a quill to answer. He kept his head bent close to the paper, deciding to write his answer in the neatest handwriting he could manage, just to pass the time until the lessons started.

Lord Voldemort's given named was Tom Marvalo Riddle, which in school he changed to I Am Lord Voldemort. He is a descendant from Salazar Slytherin and can speak parseltongue. He was only a half-blood, his mother, a witch, fell in love with a muggle, but he left her later. Lord Voldemort was an orphan since the day he was born, and grew up in an old orphanage. When he finally went to Hogwarts he never had any friends, and was always a loner.

2. What happened on October 31, 1981?
Lord Voldemort went to Godrics Hollow and killed Lily and James Potter. He attempted to kill Harry too, but with Lily sacrificing herself to save him the curse backfired, leaving The Dark Lord powerless. He left a nifty little lightning bolt shaped scar on his forehead and became know as The Boy Who Lived.

Shayne walked into the History of Magic classroom. One of his favorite classes of all times, but not neccessarily his favorite teacher. He remembered when another Professor taught it, the headmistress herself. That was a rather interesting class even though he mistakingly went into it because he was infact too young. Shayne sighed slightly as he noticed there was a pop quiz. How great his was! Now he could atleast get somewhere.

Shayne grabbed his question sheet and sat down. He looked at it for a second then bursted out laughing. "Is she serious? Alright, I guess." Shayne said as he thought he might be able to do rather well on this. Lord Voldemort being in his family bloodline didn't help much, but it gave him another side of what had happened. He sighed slightly as he looked around. Shayne wasn't looking for answers, but was curious to see who else was in this class.

Shayne read the first question and under 1. he wrote: Lord Voldemort is also known as the Dark Lord or Tom Riddle Jr. He is a decendant of Salazar Slytherin and a great wizard of his time thought evil. Lord Voldemort was a half blood being his father was a muggle. He was very cunning and intelligent as well as gifted in the dark arts and magic in general. He never considered anyone his friend and feared what all men fear with power fear. The loss of power. Shayne nodded slightly as that would do for now.

He figured the next question was rather easy in itself once again he wrote out. On the date of October 31st, 1981 Lord Voldemort killed James Potter, Lily Potter, and attemped to murder Harry Potter. In the sacrfice of Lily for her son, she used Ancient Magic to protect him from Voldemort making his Killing Curse backfire which is the first time it has been done. Harry was marked with many names and held true to them all. This was the birth of the tail of the Boy Who Lived and the first fall of the Dark Lord. Shayne nodded slightly as he stopped writing and flipped his sheet over so no one could see.

Jodi nodded in reply to Landon. She sat and started to answer her first quesiton. About 10 seconds later, Landon started to tap his pencil in the table. it distracted her, but she decided to ignore it. She looked back to her paper, picked up her quill and start to right about the great lord voldemort.

Monica sighed as she walked into class, knowing already that it wouldn't be a good one. Although she'd slept the night before, it wasn't enough to make up for all the sleep she'd been deprived of. And to top it off she had to go to history of magic! Glorious! A subject she always felt the dire need to fall asleep in. Of course, today she'd at least try not to... Before she hadn't really cared about her grades, now she felt like they mattered.

She looked to the board, groaning inwardly as she read it. How was she supposed to answer questions on a pop quiz when she hadn't been there for the previous lesson? It wasn't exactly her fault, she'd been held up longer than she had expected during vacation... She grudgingly went to Queety's desk, taking the quiz with utmost resentment. She'd attempt it, but she'd also have to talk to the professor after class about it. Monica took the seat closest to her, dropping her bag next to her and setting the quiz down on the desk.

Lord Voldemort's given name is Tom Marvolo Riddle. He was put in Slytherin House when he attended Hogwarts. He eventually gathered a large number of followers and attempted to overthrow the Ministry and dominate over the mudbloods, or anyone really who wasn't pureblooded wizard, even though he himself had a muggle father.

Monica paused on the second question, frowning. Her mind seemed a bit slow. October thirty first? Her mind didn't recognize the date, but figuring that it was about twenty years ago, she decided to make a guess on what Queety was looking for. The headmistress and her husband were twenty something years old, right?

2. What happened on October 31, 1981?
Lord Voldemort made an attempt on Harry Potter's life, failing and destroying his own, although he didn't exactly die. He killed Potter's parents in the process, though, and that night through his actions he made Potter 'The Boy Who Lived'.

At least the questions were more common knowledge than anything, everybody knew about Lord Voldemort and what he'd done. Still, though, Monica planned on having a word with Queety to find out exactly what she'd missed.[/size]

Astrid walked into the classroom and took a seat. She wondered when her friends would show up, because she knew that this was one of the only classes that all four of them had together. She retrieved the various items that would be needed for the lesson and began answering the questions on the board.

Holden walked into his History of Magic's class. He was getting behind on lessons and that wasn't good. Not at all. Soon he would be failing and that would be bad. Since he just got promoted to fifth year; like many other students who had gone up a year. Holden looked to the desk and found a Pop Quiz. Oh how lovely. He walked past Jackson and sat behind him. Holde figured Jackson was sick of looking at Holden's face.[/size]

When Lord Voldemort was born he was born Tom Marvalo Riddle. His mother was a Pure-blood witch who was a desendant from Salazar Slytherin himself. His father on the other hand was a Muggle who was put under a Love Potion. After Lord Voldemort was born his mother couldn't give his father the Love Potion anymore. It was tearing her up inside since Tom [the father] didn't love her. When she took him off the Love Potion Voldemort's father left him and his mother.

His parents died and he was sent to an orphanage. At the orphanage Albus Dumbledore got Voldemort and brought him to Hogwarts School. At Hogwarts Voldemort was put into the Slytherin house. During his older years the Chamber of Secrets was opened killing a Muggle-born. After Hogwarts he asked Dumbledore to allow him to work at Hogwarts. Dumbledore refused and Voldemort became an enemy of Albus.

Years later Voldemort became very very evil and began killing anyone whenever he felt like it. He began getting followers called Death Eaters. They're symbol is a skull with a snake coming out of his mouth.[/i]

On Halloween of 1981 Lord Voldemort walked into Godrics Hollow. He was there to kill a one year old child named Harry Potter. In Voldemort's prophecy it told him that a child born would be able to kill him. Since he wanted to be the most feared wizard of the world. At the Potter's house he killed James and Lily Potter. When trying to kill Harry with an Unforgetable Curse Voldemort's power broke and he became weak. Harry didn't die but was left with a lightning bolt scar on his head.[/i]

After the short easy quiz Holden got up and sat it on Professor Queety's desk turned over so no one would see it. He went back to his desk and sat his head on it.[/size]

Once he written the last word, Jackson dropped his quill on the desk, blue eyes glancing up towards the door, hoping that Kelly would have magically appeared while he wasn't paying attention. Or even Holden or Avery for that matter, they'd both been promoted as well as the rest of the school. Too bad neither of them had made Prefect's, he would have loved to do Prefecty things with them. But now they didn't have hardly any classes together. :/

He saw Holden and the corner of his mouth turned up into a smile. Burshing hair from his eyes, he watched as he just took the seat behind him, not one word. The boy furrowed his brow, slightly confused. He had seemed very distant lately, and he and Avery thought it was mostly because Jessica just happened to vanish. And the trip to the Hospital Wing, Avery getting hurt... Shaking his head slightly, he turned around in his seat to face him.

"What, not even a hello?" he asked with the reappearance of his smile.

Michelle walked into the History of Magic classroom, hoping that she had arrived on time. She sighed with relief that she had made it in on time. She sat down near the back of the class, and began reading the board. A pop quiz, just great. Luckily Michelle decided to read over her notes from the last class the previous night, and she quickly wrote down the questions, and began answering the questions.

Lord Voldemort was a decedent to Salazar Slytherin. His real name was Tom Riddle, after his muggle father. His mother was a pureblood witch who had fallen in love with a muggle. He was raised in an orphanage as a child. At school he was sorted into Slytherin, and later changed his name to Lord Voldemort. When he grew up and left school, he had already began killing people, and started having followers known as Deatheaters. He killed many people when he was at the height of his power.

2. What happened on October 31, 1981?

Lord Voldemort made his way to Godric's Hollow, with one purpose in mind, to kill a young child, Harry Potter. However, his plan didn't go as well as he thought. Harry's parents did everything they could to protect their child. Harry's father was killed first, and Lily was killed while protecting her child. When Voldemort finally went to kill Harry, the curse backfired and he was left powerless.

Michelle finished answering both the questions, and waited for the professor to arrive in the classroom.

"I didn't want to interupt you taking your quiz. I thought it was simple." He chuckled. "I'm sorry," he said about not saying hello. Holden got up and sat on Jackson's lap. He put his arms around Jackson's neck. He took a deep breath and began talking again.

"So like for Christmas I wanna unicorn slash pegasus. I'm going to name it Pegicorn the Pegicorn. And I wanna pizza. Cheese by the way. Then I wanna new MCR shirt. Then I wanna hug and then I wanna another Pegicorn so that Pegicorn won't be jealous." Holden laughed and looked to Jackson. "Got it?"

He got out of his friends lap and sat in the desk next to him.[/size]

Queety glanced at her watch and hurried up the stairs toward her classroom again, her arms filled with cookies. There were many different kinds on the plate, chocolate chip, sugar, oatmeal raisin, and peanut butter. She hoped that her students would be fine with the variety. And luckily, Queety knew the charm to conjure up milk, in case anyone asked.

She pushed the door open with her hip and came into the classroom, glad to see that most of her students were done with their quizes. "Okay, guys. You can put those quizes on my desk and help yourself to a cookie. Once you guys are settled, we'll begin the lesson. Does anyone want to recap?"

[Avery Moretti]

When Avery walked into the classroom, she spotted two little heads sitting at a table. One Mister Sixth Year Slytherin Prefect, Jackson Alexander Hurley. And a Mister Fifth Year Hufflepuff, Holden James Caulfield. Her two favourite boys. Well, two of her favourite, she had others. ;P Taking a seat with the two of them, she smiled and said in her best British accent, "'Ello, loves!"

Then, her blue eyes fell down on the board, reading what it said. Wrinkling her nose, she got out a piece of paper and wrote down the questions, followed by the answers she had, not really sure if she was right or not. But, at least she gave it a shot.

Lord Voldemort, whose real name is Tom Marvolo Riddle, was born December 24th, 1928 in a Muggle orphanage in London, England. His witch mother, Merope Gaunt, died during child labour and his muggle father, Tom Riddle, abandoned them when he found out Merope was a witch. So, he's a half-blood and grew up in the orphanage. Albus Dumbledore came to the orphanage in 1938 and brought Voldemort to Hogwarts, where he was sorted into the Slytherin house. He was very good at magic though and was Head Boy and got awards, even though he was messing around with the Dark Arts. He opened the Chamber of Secrets because he was the heir to the Slytherin throne, being the descendant of Salazar Slytherin, and found a basilisk he controlled 'cause he's a Parselmouth. Anyways, he was pretty evil and wanted to be immortal, eventually killing lots of people and gathering supporters named Death Eaters.

2. What happened on October 31, 1981?
Voldemort knew of a prophecy about a boy that could kill him born at the end of July by parents who'd escaped from him three times. He found this to be Harry Potter and tried to kill him on October 31, 1981 but didn't succeed, ultimately his killing curse bouncing back onto him and basically almost killing himself and lowering his magic powers. Harry's parents, James and Lily, were killed, however.

Sighing, she dropped her pencil and walked up to Queety's desk, handing the paper over and grabbing a couple chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, giving Queety a smile. Coming back to her two friends and sitting down, she nibbled on one of her cookies. Yummm.[/size][/color][/font]

Shayne stood up quietly as he watched the Professor walk in. His gaze shifting as he made his way gracefully up to her desk and then laid down the piece of paper that was his quiz on her desk. He then looked at the cookies and then spoke, "Thank you, but I shall pass." Shayne spoke with a quiet kindness that was not natural for him. He turned slightly and shifted his position. Then Shayne made his way back to where he had sat down and took a seat and waited.

As Holden took a seat on him, Jackson ahd to fight the urge to push him off. He didn't like people sitting on him. :/ Unless their name was Avery and they were the Mihael Quidditch Captain; then that was just fine. But he grinned anyway at what he told him, wrinkling up his nose absent mindedly. Once he got off of him and switched to the seat next to him, he shook his head. "Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you, Mister Caulfield, I'm not Santa Claus. I'm too skinny, have better hair, and I don't watch you when you sleep," he said with a small smile.

Grinning as Missus Avery joined them he said, "Hello muffin." He had a thing for calling people muffin, he didn't know why. He brought his attention to the front as Queety entered with lots of cookies. Oh, yay! Popping up out of his seat, he went and handed in his work, giving her a nifty little smile. He scooped up an oatmeal and chocolate cookie, nodded his thanks, and took his seat.

Queety rolled her eyes. "Considering you just took a pop quiz on the last class, I didn't think you would be interested. Well, let's continue on. Lord Voldemort is gone and Harry is parentless yet famous. The poor kid could barely walk and talk and he's considered a hero. Everybody knows his name within a few days. And now Harry has a mark to prove who he is, a lightning shaped scar.

"Now, turn to page 65 of your textbooks," Queety continued, holding up her copy of The Boy Who Lived: A Biography. "I want you to read the next two pages about what happened next. When you are done, look up."

Jodi reached into her bag, and pulled out her textbook. She lazily turned to page 65 and took a second to skim over the notes. She looked around to see if anyone else was reading, people where. So she put her head down into the book, and read the next two pages as she was asked to. After she had finished, she looked up to the Professor, to let her know she has finished.
