Luke sat quietly in his chair behind his desk, waiting patiently for students to arrive. There were about ten minutes for class to begin. The door was left open, so that any early students would be welcome to take a seat. He'd already written the typical introduction for the students on the board and already modified the room to have the correct number of seats for his rather large class.
Welcome to Animagus: Class One Please take a seat and take out your notes. Introduction: What is an Animagus?
Luke was rather tired, even though it was afternoon, right after lunch. He'd been feeling sick lately, coughing and feeling constantly tired. He honestly didn't feel like going through with today's lesson. However, he really didn't have a choice. The lesson had been postponed for so long. He sat leaning back in his chair, facing the opposite side of the class, the roster sitting in his lap. On his desk was his wand, and in his hand his quill. The students should be arriving soon enough.
[Sorry for the schedule confusion and over all lateness. You have 48 hours to arrive, late arrivals will have points deducted.] [Edit: All entries from here on are late. Points have already been recorded]

Amanda wasn't sure she'd be so welcomed to this class, since it is her first lesson in Animagus. The teacher had a note before that there wouldn't be much use to attending, but what if Amanda wanted to learn Animagus in depth? The whole history behing transforming yourself into animal form. She was determined, yes, and she marched right out of her dorm to go.
So, she thought about animagus and what Professor Halliwell had taught them about the different forms of human transformation. Animagus caught her attention more since it is one special skill she'd like to accomplish in the future. What animal would she turn into anyway? Only time could tell and so would the classes.
She descended a few stairwells and turned into one of the corridors to where the Animagus class would be held. This is one optional class she'd take; she still debated about the others, but medicines were never her strongest skill. Though she loved to brew potions, she would rather work with her wand and her mind. Oh, and perhaps one day, dueling.
Upon entering the classroom, Amanda stopped in her tracks to look at the empty classroom, barring the professor. She was the first to arrive and her cheeks turned faintly pink. Heading toward one of the front desks, Amanda sat down and looked at the intructions on the board. As followed, she took out a piece of parchment for notes, a book she checked from the library, quill and ink bottle, and her notes from Professor Halliwell's class on the lesson they learned about Animaguses.
So, prompt as ever, Tear walked through the door, mostly tired, but a bit excited to be learning the basics of Animagus. Of course, she wouldn't be learning quite how to turn into an animal yet. But the fact of the matter was that she'd only heard of Animagi in a recent Transfiguration class, and it was terribly exciting. She couldn't help but smirk as she stepped in, flicking her bangs unsuccessfully out of her eye.
She skimmed over the board. Nope. No notes for Tear. She'd soak this in like a sponge. No quill and parchment were needed, only her emo hair, her heart pendant, and her pretty nails. Yes... She was already thinking of what she wanted to turn into. Maybe a badger... But that would be way cliche. She had to think of something totally cool and amazing and something that no one would expect her to be...
Ryan was on a mission not to be late for his first class here. lately, he had been late to most of them, but he was trying to get out of that habbit. It would be hard, but he would. Now all he needed to do was bet his facts strait, and he would be a good student.
For a while now, he had wondered what he would be. It was, for sure, to be somthing that reflected his inner self, and how he was. What matched in his head was a white tiger, like him, it was strong, fast, and was one for revenge. That seemed right to him.
Finally, after some time and thought, he made it to his class. there were only two people in here, but that only ment that he was early, and he sighed and walked to a seat near the front. Ryan took out his notes and a quill, and waited for his assignment.

Ahh it was Finlay time to see what Animagus form she would be. She kept thinking a beautiful white hawk would probably do her fancy. Yet she would probably stick to something simple, like a black cat with her piercing blue eyes. Smiling even brighter as she walked in. For she had another class with her best friend Amanda. Taking a seat quickly next to her, she smiled as she bumped her arm. "Hello" she said with a small smile. For she was always happy to see her best friend. Now the only question was when was Nathaniel going to arrive?
If you want more of this We can push out, sell out, die out So you'll shut up And stay sleeping With my screaming in your itching ears
Levi hurried down the corridors. He couldn't believe it. He had been looking forward to the animagus classes for approximately 3 years now and still it seemed that he was going to be late for his very first class. The fact that he was late didn't do any good to the sick feeling he already had, caused by his nerves. What if he wasn't able to be an animagus? Maybe he wouldn't be good enough. It would be pretty lame if he was send straight out of class because he wasn't talented enough, but it seemed to be a good possibility.
The last time Levi hadn't been able to find a classroom was in his first year. Now, 4 years later, it turned out that he still didn't know everything about the castle. Not that he ever had been anywhere near the animagus classroom, why on earth would he? So it wasn't that bad that he wasn't able to find it.. though he felt pretty silly as he was not only a fifth year already, but also a prefect, and yet, hopelessly lost.
Finally he seemed to have found the classroom. Quickly he entered and sat down, surprised that there were only four students in even though the class was supposed to start about 10 minutes ago. He looked at the teacher and hoped that he wouldn't be mad. Great, this really was a perfect start of Levi's animagus career.
Taking out his notebook, Levi realized that he was really hungry. He hadn't been hungry during lunch because of the nerves, but now that he had made it to his classroom he started to feel his hunger coming again. After class he would stop by at the kitchens to beg the house elves for a sandwich or so.. yeah, that was a perfect plan. Now Levi had to focus on only one thing though, the class.
Luke looked to his watch, frowning slightly, and made a few marks next to several names on his roster, marking those late and absent. He cleared his throat quietly, plastering a welcoming smile on and looking to his students. "Good afternoon," he said clearly, leaning back in his chair. "I am Professor Mercier, your Animagus teacher as you all should know, and today we will be covering the basics."
Glancing toward the open door, look picked up his wand, giving it a short flick to shut it. Aiming his wand behind him, he then cleared the board of its instructions. "Now, will someone please be kind enough to explain what exactly an Animagus is?" With another short flick, a piece of chalk rose to the board, waiting to start scribbling down what Luke would soon command.
Ryan waited quietly as a fiew more people walked in the room. No one sat by him, so he didnt talk; there was no need to. Soon, Professor Mercier introduced himself. He didnt seem that bad, but he did mark that some people were absent, and, posibly late. He had a bad feeling that he was late, but he didnt show it on his face.
The professessor's first question was 'what a animagus was.' Ryan opeded his book, and looked through it, until he found the right page. He raised his hand and answered, "An Animagus is a wizard or witch capable of turning into a particular animal and back at will. While in animal form, Animagi retain all sensory perception and cognition; however, their mental capabilities and feelings are lessened when transformed, becoming more like the animal . Thus, an animagus when transformed becomes the animal whose form is taken, but with the added advantage of retaining some human qualities."
He smiled slightly, and leaned back in his seet, with his hands behind his head. He knew some of what it was, but he still needed to look up what it was.
"Very good, Mr. Owl," he said shortly, the chalk behind him scribbling down the definition. After a short glance to the board, Luke again turned back to his students. "Just to clear things up, when referring to it in the singular form, it is Animagus. If you are referring to more than one, it is Animagi. If you're all to become one then you should at least be able to use the word properly." He cleared his throat, giving each student a glance to see if they were taking notes.
"To continue, there is also something called the Multimagus. Only one is born every millennium, and of course that one is a one Hermione Chambers." Luke paused, glancing at the board to see it had shorthanded his explanation. Again, he continued. "I want you all to know that becoming an Animagus is a very difficult process. If you already have trouble with Transfiguration, you need to seek help from your professor, as Animagus transformation is a very specific branch of Transfiguration. You need to be very skilled in this area to be able to accomplish your goal as soon as possible."
He paused, taking in a breath of air, taking a sweeping look of his students. "Oh, and I hope you all are taking notes. I will be giving you short quizzes throughout the term on what I've taught you. Now, would anyone mind telling me why becoming an Animagus is so difficult?"

Darn it! She just had to take her time eating. Now she was late to what she thought to be a really important class. And with her luck she was sure to get points taken away from gryffindor. Walking in the room quickly, head down, Jas took her seat. Once she got her things out she began to take down notes rather quickly in hopes of catching up. From the sound of it they were going over the basics. Jasmine cursed herself mentally has she stared down at her parchment that was rather blank.
