So Amanda was pretty excited that she has a little buddy to welcome around the school. She received the name of the first year last week, so she had to think of the perfect time to meet him and where. Afterall, she was busy these past few days with work from classes and quidditch. But still! She was more than excited to help around the school by welcoming the newers students and getting them to settle in more comfortably.
Thus, she was in her dorm, writing a note to Alexander Molentez to meet her in the Hallways. From there, she could take him anywhere if he liked. She was going to give him the choice of what to do once they finally meet. Hopefully she'd get to know him more. Afterall, she did need to connect with the younger years. Not saying that they're younger than her, just not as advanced. -,-
Amanda then folded the letter and pressed a wax seal with a specialized cursive AL on it for her signature. Giving the letter to her owl that stood at her window, she smiled and patted it on the head after tieing the letter to it's ankle. "To Alexander Molentez precious."
Once the owl flew away, Amanda slipped on a small black jacket and then left her dorm and common room to walk down to the halls. If she wanted to be noticable to Alexander, she'd have spun a web like she did a term ago for Tristam, and wait until he got stuck there. But she was going to be nice and not scare the guy. So as she entered the hallways of the school, she settled down on a bench nearby a statue of an old witch on a broom.

A lovely surprise had greeted Master Alexander this morning. It had been a note - from the wonderful Amanada Larson whom he had been paired with. The two were yet to meet, but the Mihael had of course heard about her. She was captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team, and also a Prefect. To him it seemed impressive. Something perhaps he wanted when he was older. Of course the young man hoped to tryout for the Quidditch Team the next term. He, ever since arriving, had made sure to read up on it. Next thing was actually trying it out on the broom. Having been at the Flying Class [for first years only] he was getting better. But hardly the greatest flyer in the school. After all Alexander was merely brought up as a muggle, and he had found out about his true heritage not so long ago.
life is but a dream for the dead, and well i, i won't go down by myself.
He neatened himself, before leaving the common room as quick as he could. After all, the First Year student did not want to be late for his dear buddy. Every second he got more and more excited at the thought of finally meeting Miss Larson.
A bouncy, happy fellow could not be missed skipping among the students towards his destination. The Hallways. This would be the chance to discover the secrets of the school, as well as actually having perhaps a full tour. It would be all so nice. He wondered alone what she had planned. Something interesting, he assumed. Already [before meeting her] Amanda Larson seemed like such an amazing, interesting, brilliant person. Gawd, he was praising her so.
but i'll go down with my friends. now now now now... (i can't explain)
And as he reached the hallways, he gazed once, twice around. Where was she? A confused-look planted itself upon his handsome face, as he walked further down the hallway. There were few people down here - but he did indeed see a girl. She sat alone, on a bench, nearby a statue of an old witch whom seemed to be on a broomstick. "Amanda?" His look changed to that of a smile, adorable and childish. Something he had rather thought had become a trademark of his or something. No one had really commented on it - yet.

Hopefully Amanda would make Alexander's day. This was the first time she'd be welcoming a first year. Not that she hadn't the experience since she dealt with all of them since she too was a newbie around these grounds. However, she had to find her way through the school on her own. No program like this was established almost a year ago.
Thus reminding Amanda that is has been almost a year since she's been at Trio's Hogwarts. Only a couple breaks did she return home, but most of the rest she stayed here. Her parents didn't mind. They expected that she stay at a year round school, especially Hogwarts. Oh well, she'll stick around this coming fall break too. She'd really like to spend more time with her friends, including new ones.
Far down the hall she watched a bouncy figure who looked quite cheery. If only she had that much energy everyday then things would be great. But she dreaded the week only because of her OWLs. However, she wasn't going to ruin her first meeting with Alexander Molentez. That would just give off a first bad impression, and she believed that first impressions were very important.
Amanda wasn't sure how her and Holden came to meet in the first place. Was it class or quidditch? Sometimes she couldn't believe herself, not socializing with all of whom are in her same year. Pity really. She's been such a basketcase. But thanks to Holden, Jodi, and Joe, she's actually come to the conclusion that there are fun individuals out there to hang out other than just your typical group of friends.
So, Amanda had to do this buddy system. She really wanted to reach out to someone, which, by the way, her paired buddy finally made his appearance. The bouncy kid from down the hall. "Yes, I'm Amanda Larsen. You must be Alexander Molentez." She smiled in return as she stood up. "So, welcome to Trio's Hogwarts. How has your stay here been? Hopefully very good?"

and crash the cemetery gates. in the dress your husband hates.
[/blockquote] She was Amanda Larson. The young girl sitting upon the bench was his buddy. A wide, classic grin spread across his handsome face. "A pleasure to finally meet you Amanda." He had been about to sit down beside her, but she stood up instead. She was shorter than him, but not by much. Alexander was generally a tall young man - he only assumed his parents had both been tall [or at least one of them had been].
drinking by the mausoleum door. and they found you on the bathroom floor.
He smiled, nodding also. "It has been perfect. The people are ever so friendly around here - and the classes, ever so interesting." But they would be - to him. He had lived a muggle upbringing, knowing nothing of magic of anykind. Years later he was seen sitting inside a classroom making Potions, and learning about Charms. It could be called only one thing; amazing. Never in a million years did he think this would ever happen to someone, let alone him. Alex felt special, something which he had not felt in a while. But he felt it now, and it was because of Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Beautiful.
"I have heard about you Amanda - Hufflepuff's Quidditch Captain, Prefect also. You have earned alot. I bet you are proud of yourself - and your parents too, proud of you." He only hoped she did have parents, parents she actually knew - unlike himself. Alex would feel bad if he had said the wrong thing and sadly upset her, as he hated seeing someone sad, as it saddened himself in a way.[/blockquote]

A perfect answer to Amanda's ears. She couldn't imagine the people being un-friendly around here. You just don't really run into that many. Luckily they've been weeded out and eventually left like that one chick, what was her name, oh yes! Jenna Dolohov. Nasty piece of work, but Amanda was glad she left the school. Good riddance. It must have been some sort of expelling.
"That's good to hear. The classes are more than interesting, but fun as well. Especially hands on activities. There is not one class where you will sit the whole time to a lecture, well besides History of Magic. I find it boring among all others," she rolls her eyes. "I guess you could say I'm no history buff. But hopefully you've met a few others around this school. There are really a nice bunch."
Again, the students who are newer these days had an advantage. Sometimes Amanda envied them, well, just a little bit. But it seems that when she stands up to these first years, she feels smaller. Perhaps they weren't all that young. Maybe a year or two, or perhaps the same age. But boy did she feel small compared to Alexander. Normally Holden would poke at her for being short. That HuffawuttaHoldiseeker.
Surprise was basically all that Amanda's face had shown. Alexander had known quite a few facts about her. Though, she'd like to add one to that list, if she had been given that title. "Well not a whole lot actually. I don't have Prefect title," her smile had fallen momentarily, but she brightened up again. "However, I was Gossip Columnist for the Daily Prophet. Just in our school section."
Pity that she retired so early in her writing career. Though people took the fun out of her writings. The constant threats and encounters were too terrible for her to handle. But she brushed those disturbing thoughts away. "Anyway, I am quite proud of my accomplishments. So are my parents. You'll have a lot to look forward to when you're here. A lot of opportunities like playing Quidditch, joining in other classes besides your ordinary mandatory ones, and the ballroom dances. They're quite a hoot!"

crash into my arms I WANT YOU
He was glad to hear of the classes - something to look forward to in the future. Fun. Alexander always knew they would be, but to be told by an older year was a good sign. A smile played upon his lips, hearing of History of Magic. "I've never really liked History, but we'll just have to see what happens," the Mihael chuckled. He never knew - he might actually like it when he entered the class for the first time. Who knows ...
Oh. He had gotten something wrong about her, which made him feel a slight bit stupid. "That must've been somebody else, but nevertheless, Quidditch Captain is a huge acheivement."
He smiled brightly. "And Gossip Columnist!? Blimey ... Bet that was fun." Truthfully, Alex was yet to read the Gossip Column, and only hoped to do so soon. He was curious to learn whom the current one was, and would ask later on perhaps.
you don't agree. but you don't refuse,
School sounded alot more fun. Also, it seemed to be terribly better than his previous Muggle Ones [not that they were bad or anything]. "I'm rather looking forward to trying out for the Mihael Quidditch Team next term. I've been practising - i'm hardly the best, but still, I aim to give it a go," he told Amanda, chuckling softly underneath his breath. "When is the next Ballroom Dance?"[/blockquote]
