"Hear the sound. The angels come screaming down. Your voice;I hear you've been bleeding. Make your choice. They say you've been pleading. Someone save us," the fifth year sang to himself as he walked the hallway desolate.

"I'm at this old hotel. But can't tell if I've been breathing, or sleeping, or screaming, or waiting for the man to call. And maybe all of the above. 'cause mostly I've been sprawled on these cathedral steps while spitting out the blood and screaming, 'Someone save us'.

"Heaven help us now. Come crashing down. We'll hear the sound. As you're falling down."

Holden put his hands into his tight skinny jeans which were held up by a three row studded belt. His shirt was a medium black shirt with a white wolf face on it. Then on the back it said,'My Chemical Romance'. His left hand scratched his left cheek and put his hands into his back pockets instead of his front this time.

The fifth year Hufflepuff's hair had dramatically changed in the pass few months. Jeffree Caulfield [Holden's father] said that his hair grew about an inch per month. How his dad would know he wouldn't ask. He really didn't want to know. Holden's hair was now down to his shoulders a bit and cut at an angle. The desolate teenager actually liked his hair this way. It was time for a change after all.

"And will you pray for me. Make them say your name? And will you lay for me? And make a saint of- 'cause I'll give you all the nails you need. Cover me in gasoline. Wipe away those tears of blood again. And the punchline to the joke is asking: Someone save us. "

Everything seemed to be changing. Nothing seemed as it was when he first got here. Now he had people he liked and couldn't stand. The majority was in the 'I Can't Stand You' category but mostly that was Holden's fault. His personality would probably be his downfall in the end. His left index, middle, marriage, and pinky finger tapped against his bottom lip as his thumb kept his librae in place as his fingers moved against his lip.

"Heaven help us now. Come crashing down. We'll hear the sound as you fall," he finished as bent his knees so he could sit on the golden and burgandy colored carpet.

Holden put his head against the floor and spread out a bit. No one was down the hallway that he knew of. He felt pretty forlon laying on the floor with no one to talk to. "And would you pray for me?," he yelled at the top of his lungs. No one would hear him. The never-fit-in-much-kid didn't care if anyone really did hear him. It was good once and awhile to scream a good random lyric at the top of your voice and scream your heart out.

He put his finger against his lips as he looked at the carpet. His gray eyes noticed the designs on the burgandy and golden carpet. It reminded him of Gryffindor colors. Ew. Holden sighed and moved his right hand under his head. The carpet was soft but not that soft to where he couldn't feel the concret underneath the fluffy carpet.

"You don't know a thing about my sins."

Days seems long, this beautiful girl with the most amazing eyes. Usually found with a smile on her face. Yet lately, nothing, no happiness was found in her. It was like everything was killed out of her. Her happy spirit. She let Dezi take the downfall of that. She didn't even know herself anymore. Would she ever be the same? Alessa sighed to herself as she walked the long dark hall ways. With only her black cat Darius, wrapped around her neck for company. He was laying there peacefully. His eyes closed an inch, purring softly in Alessa's ear.

The song by 30 seconds to mars kept rolling around inside of her brain. "The kill" Every lyrics. She felt it was true. She would be done with Dezi. He could have that little skank that he had kissed. They deserved each other. Alessa thought to herself as her blue orbs scanned the halls. No one was in site, she didn't even know where her best friends was. Since there last meeting, them trying to make her feel better. Yet she still was dead inside.

Alessa didn't understand, this is one of the main reasons why she didn't ever want to have a relationship with a boy. For all they did was bring heart ache and pain. Alessa felt like she would never love like that again. For she had put her heart into Dezi only to have him rip her heart out and spat it on the floor.

Alessa heard int he distance someone singing? She looked at her cat and cocked her head to the side and listened more closely. Then she heard someone scream out as they sang. She shook her head a bit and walked closer toward the sound of the boy. As she reached closer, she could see him more clearly.

The boy was laying on the floor, she couldn't help but to smirk a bit as she looked at him. Brushing her black hair with pink highlights down the front behind her ear. She put on a fake smile and spoke to him. "Hello" She said to him in a soft gentle tone. Her eyes twinkling in the light. "Hope i am not disturbing you or anything. I'm Alessa" She said with a slight nod, her crystal blue orbs scanning him over.

Alessa wasn't the only one doing a bit of suffering. Holden too was in that heartbreaking state. Jessica had left him again. This was the third time she had left him without saying anything to him. To Holden, even though he didn't want to admit it, the relationship was dead. DEAD! She just didn't seem to want to be with him.

He sighed as he looked up at the ceiling as he turned over on his back. Holden blinked and contined to stay stretched out on the burgandy carpet. What else was a teenager to do at this dull, boring, isloted school besides go to class, have heartbreak, watch first years that just get here fall in love, watch people make out, scream at the top of your lungs, or just sit there.

Holden's leg bent so he could tap his foot on the ground. He hummed 'Early Sunsets Over Monroeville' by My Chemical Romance. The kids was a My Chemical Romance fan. He just couldn't help but be a fan even though half the school hated the band with a passion. But of course, the other My Chemical Romance haters liked rap. Ew.

After hearing what Dezi did with Aaryn, their kiss, he felt bad for Alessa even though he didn't know her. Aaryn had kissed him too before Jess and him started going out. Dezi, even though he was his best friends sister, needed to be slapped or punch. Either or. If he wanted to kiss someone else then he should have broken up with Alessa. But that was just Holden personally and had a different outlook on things.

His head turned at a femine voice. The first thing Holden Caulfield noticed was the girl's vibrant blue eyes. No one ever had that color blue. Darn her. He had this boring gray colored eyes. Completely useless. Grawr. Jealous much. Holden blinked and continued to look at her as she apologized for interrupting him.

What was she interrupting him of? Nothing. No reason to be sorry to meddle with the boy as he layed on the floor sprawled out staring at the ceiling. No reason to apologize once-so-ever. Holden was quite happy to see this person actually. First person that seemed to be decent and happy. Well sort of. She actually looked quite pale and sad in her eyes.

"Hello. Don't apologize. I wasn't doing anything but staring at the ceiling. Just sprawled here watching my life go on without me." His gray eyes lit up and then saddened a bit. So this was Alessa. Couldn't be the Alessa. The Alessa that had her heart ripped in two by Dezi Moretti. Gasp no! Couldn't be? Then who?

Instead of asking he would just say his name. "I'm Holden," he replied. "How are you?"

Alessa wished when he asked her to tell him that she was doing alright. Expect that she wasn't alright at all. She was far from being fine. Alessa felt herself sank against the stone wall and fall to the floor. Her arse hitting the stone floor. She looked over at him and shrugged her shoulders. "The truth..?" She asked him. Knowing that he would probably say yes, so she continued on after he answered her.

"The truth is, that I'm far from being okay." Alessa felt her lips tremble as she wanted to break down in tears. She was hurting bad over Dezi. For she had fallen head over heals in love with him, only to be crushed in two. "My boyfriend cheated on me, you might of read it in the gossip, all of it true. He kissed another girl. How? I don't know, why or how he could do this to me. I thought I finally found that one that would sweep me off my feet and just live the fairy tale. Have the ending that I wanted all my life. That i needed so..." Alessa cut herself off her voice breaking.

She brought her hand to her crystal blue orbs and wiped her tears away from her eyes. She blinked slightly and looked back up at him. Her lips trembling a bit as she found herself hugging her knees against her chest. Her body trembling.

"And I'm finding myself slipping away from myself. I don't even know what to do anymore. I don't know what to trust. I don't know if I'll ever love again..for all my dreams has crashed so many times.." Alessa sighed looking up at him, finding herself giving him eye contact. Her eyes showing so much pain behind those beautiful blue orbs.

Holden looked to Alessa. She looked so melancholy. Dezi really was eating her up wasn't he? Poor kid [he refers everyone to a child]. Holden was about to say, 'No. You can not tell me. It's none of my business. I was wondering if you wanted to talk about it. You look pretty eaten up.'

His gray eyes watched Alessa sink the floor and lean against the wall. Her fustration, anger, and sadness was going to come out; he could feel it. Then Alessa told him what was going on. All he could do that he knew was to comfort her.

Holden got up and walked over near her and sat down. He put his arms around her and put his head against hers. "I heard from Avery what happened. I want to beat him up in the face too so you're not the only one. No one should ever do that to someone." The fifth year rubbed her arm. "I know how you feel. Not in the same situation but I thought I was going to be with Jessica Morelisia forever but she left Hogwarts and never even told me. She's done this three times to me."

Love was so fickle and fake. Why did anyone want to be loved? Is it to feel secure. To feel that someone cared about you and wanted you for you?

"Alessa, if he loved you like he said he did he wouldn't have kissed Aaryn. I'm not a fan of her either. Other reasons besides the topic. We all think we're in love at our age. But when we're older we find a better meaning of it. There are other fish out there in the sea. Don't let one sink you. He's not worth it.

You have a right to be mad at him but don't let it control you. 'kay? Just your instincts and your best friends. Just the people that you're close to. They care about you and will help you through whatever life throws at you, just like you do for them.

You'll love again. I know it. You'll find that strapping young fish that will make you glad Dezi made that stupid mistake. To know there are better guys out there." Holden continued to look at Alessa.

"Alessa, there are other dreams beyond ones with Dezi and a happy life. You'll find someone. You're not ugly," he smiled. "There is nothing wrong with you. You're just in a terrible state. We never think how terrible a relationship can go or where it will head. Over time you'll heal and never give him a second thought."

Lifting her head up, Alessa's eyes followed his movements. She watched him closely, watched as he sat in front of her. His arms around her, she closed her eyes as his forehead pressed against her own. She breathed in heavily. As she felt the world roll around her. Like the world was crashing around her, like there was nothing to do to stop this pain that was aching inside of her heart. She longed to be set free.

Listening to him talk to her, he was also going threw the same pain. Every word that he was saying was right. She felt it inside of her dying heart. Something that she felt like would never heal ever again.


Opening her eyes, she found her eyes staring into his own. "Yea, I know...maybe I just really wanna admit out loud that I will love again. For I feel like love is dead. Love is nothing that I feel like will happen to me in the future. But I know there are other fish out there in the sea. Cept I also feel like maybe I'll always end up getting hurt. I'm just tired of all this frustration that eating me up inside."

"I want to be happy again, i want to smile again. I want to be set free of his grasp. I want him to give my heart back to me. " Alessa then closed her eyes once more. Feeling more tears shedding, as she felt her hand slide down Holden's chest, grasping onto his shirt as she cried there in his arms. Not wanting to leave this spot. For she wanted all this pain to dissapear..

Holden leaned and put his head against the wall as Alessa cried in his arms. He rubbed her back as she cried. The Hufflepuff was going to let her cry it out. Once she got out of her system she would be well again. She would think that she had cried enough for someone and stop for good. Once in a while after that she might cry about it but barely.

"And love's light blue led me to you. Through all the emptiness that had become my home. Love's lies cruel introduced me to you and at that moment I knew I was out of hope.

"Kill me," I begged and Love said, "No." "Leave me for dead and let me go. Kill me," I cried and Love said, "No." "Kill me," I cried and Love said, "No."

"Love's icy tomb dug open for you. Lies in a cemetery that bears my name. Love's violent tune from me to you. Rips your heart out and leaves you bleeding with a smile on your face.

"Kill me," I begged and Love said, "No." "Leave me for dead and let me go. Kill me," I cried and Love said, "No." "Kill me. I cried and Love said, "No." And Love said, "No."

The Hufflepuff looked down to the Slytherin. He was thinking of something he could do to try to keep her mind off Dezi. It wasn't healthy. Then an idea popped in his head. Cupcakes. Everyone loved cupcakes!

"Alessa, want to go make some cupcakes with black frosting and rainbow sprinkles?" "Then we'll go somewhere and stuff our faces. Or we could throw them at people when they're not looking," he smiled hoping that she would at least half smile at his attempt.

As Alessa let out her pain, she felt a little better. Yet the pain was still there. She felt the same, cept Holden was trying to make her better. And she was grateful of that. He was a great friend to her already. She was lucky of that. Pulling away from his embrace a bit, hearing him speak something she didn't know exactly what he was saying. But it made some sense.

She dried her tears and sighed heavily. She looked at him with her icy blue orbs and gave him a small smile. When she heard the mention of cupcakes. She loved cupcakes. She smiled a bit wider. "Alessa, want to go make some cupcakes with black frosting and rainbow sprinkles?" "Then we'll go somewhere and stuff our faces. Or we could throw them at people when they're not looking," "Mmmmm" Alessa licked her lower lip and grinned.

The thought of maybe throwing cupcakes at unexpected victims made her grin even wider. "Sounds fun and very yummy" Alessa said nodding her head, starting to feel even more better then before. Standing up, she brushed herself off. Looking down at at Holden with a smirk expression. She reached for his hand to pull him up off the ground. "Lets go then?" She said with a smile.

She had grinned! Hell yesh. Alessa was his hero now. Officially. He would deffinatly add her to the list of heros when he got into the Hufflepuff Boys Dorm and write in his journal. Holden needed to update it majorly.

He grabbed her hand and got up. Holden let go of her hand and put his fist in the air. "ONWARD TO THE KITCHENS MA'AM!" The Hufflepuff and the Slytherin were going to make cupcakes! Amazing. Black frosting and rainbow sprinkles. How amazing could you get? Rainbows and black? Amazing fer shure!

Holden began walking with Alessa to the kitchens humming a song. He was always humming or singing something. It kept his mind off the real important things in life...like homework for instance. Well it couldn't be homework...they never went home sept for on holidays. So it is called DORMWORK! Beat the system!
