[ thread for Aaryn Saeumi ]
Note to self; I miss you terribly.
This is what ; we call a tragedy.
So many stars in the skies. Kei had never seen so many of them. They where all twinkling and blinking down at him, like fairy dust blown into the darkness of the night. They reminded the boy of glitter. All pretty and shiny. Kei RaĆ¼ell - a firstie Hufflepuff, that was barely a week old here at Hogwarts, was lying on the roof of the Dallin Tower. Oddly a very reserved and shy boy, he had found this spot very- as his friend Alex would have said - cool.
The kid lay under the stars, with his arms neatly tucked under his blond head as a shift-make pillow. The ghost of a smile traced his small peach lips as he stared out into the darkness. A huge, silver orb, hung above him like a Christmas decoration - the moon. It looked so big, and close to the roof of the Dallin Tower, that he could have outstretched his little fingers, and touched it.
His mind, empty apart from the lyrics of a song buzzing in his ears, was now thinking about what had happened in the past days. Kei's big, brown eyes glazed over, as he was no longer seeing the stars, but the faces of some people he had met. There was Brendan, an Alex-factor, cool all the way down to his socks. Then there was Alexander Molentez, aka Rose Boy, who was so warm and nice that he reminded Kei of hot chocolate on a cold winter day. Kei's acquaintance list was down to a bare minimum - his friend list, was scrapped to zero. Shy never got anyone anywhere. Or got them friends. Kei was, the reason the word 'shy' was thought for. He's the one full of insecurities, the one to turn a deep red color when spoken directly to, the one to look down when gazed to, and the one to stumbled over his words, and make a total idiot of himself. Kei was, well, Kei. Too shy to be the one to step forward and try to make a friend. But, all the bad qualities Kei seemed to find in himself, others thought they where cute. They regarded him as something small [which he was], fluffy [might be his hair] and cuddly [he loved nothing better then a cuddle]. No wonder the sorting hat had shrieked 'HUFFLEPUFF!' in his ears as soon as it was neared close to his blond head.
Lost in his own thoughts, while his unseeing eyes stared out at the stars, Kei started to unconsciously hum the lyrics of 'Note to Self'. This was a song by From First to Last [FFTL] - one of Kei's favorite muggle bands. Small pale lips parted, softly singing out the words, to a tune playing only in his head ;"Two roads split off from here, and my life goes running in opposite directions. Exaggerating the barrier between who I am, and who I want to be."
