Sit on the Roof, Sing in the Sun. (Alex Molentez)

Rain wandered through the common room. She was wearing her My Chem shirt, Bullet For My Valentine hoodie and Nirvana fingerless gloves. She ran through, not looking at the people staring at her. She ran through the corridors and to Dallin Tower. She needed somewhere quiet and outside. So she climbed up to the roof.

She began to sing.

"Hand in mine into your icy blues,
And then I'd say to you,
We could take to the highway..."

The voice of one seemed to fill his ears, just as one had done days ago. A single half-hearted smile seemed to appear, as he traced the voice through walking. Hands clung inside his pockets [ which he found hard to put inside, considering they were skinnies ] So being all-the-ordinary he took the fingerless gloved hands off. They were Black Motorhead ones, which he adored since they had been a present from his 'parents'. Even with all the comotion of them not actually being the true identity of his blood mother and father - they truthfully would always be parents to him. For they had brought him up his entire life. He could never thank them enough.

With a slight smile, he glanced at his other clothes, almost chuckling at what he was wearing today. A Black and White Criminal Damage Polo Shirt was below his Black Vans Sweatshirt. His jeans were of course immense as always. Instead of being a plain colour such as Black, Gray or Blue - They were instead Pinstripe - Criminal Damage Skinnies. Of course holding up his jeans was a Electric Blue and White Lowlife Belt.

Then of course the shoes. Grafitti DCs. He had brought them just before coming to Trios Hogwarts, and this was infact the first time he had ever worn them ¢¾ Which a smile, he proceeded on.

A hum escaped his lips, humming, and soon to be singing his own song. But he followed this song. But where was it coming from? That was when he reached the door of one Dallin Tower. Glancing upwards, a curt smile flashed handsomely upon the lads mouth, carefully opening the door in case of another behind it. Thankfully there was not, and Alexander only assumed it was coming from the top. Swiftly, but quietly he padded up the stairs, trying not to make a sudden movement that would scare whom was ever up here. But who was it? A girl surely, as the voice was higher than a male's would have been. Pondering a second, he allowed himself to stop, crossing his arms for a moment, before continuing. Shrugging merely, he stood outside the door of the top part. Wondering wether or not to actually enter.

i am finished with you.

Peering inside instead, he actually sure the girl. "Hello?"

[/b] Alexander smiled. Hoping to have not scared her. He entered of course, to not create a bigger fear, than she might have already felt from the voice.

Rain looked down the roof when she heard a voice. She slid down and landed next to a boy.

"Hey I'm Rain. Rain Iero at your service. And I'm good. Not much scares me. Dad's scary enough."

She climbed up a little and grabbed the boy's arm, pulling him onto the roof slightly.

"So do whom do I owe the pleasure?" she grinned.

He seemed really nice. He was hot any way.

"You been here long?"

She smiled and climbed up even further. She beckoned the boy to follow.

Rain. An unusual name, and not one he heard often, but nevertheless, he already adored it. "A pleasure Rain. I'm Alexander Molentez." He brought himself closer to her, and with a smile outstretched a cold hand, in hope that she would shake it. "I am glad I did not scare you. But anyway .." Breaking from the conversation, he was pulled towards the roof, a slight smile crossing his face, as he seemed glad to be in anothers presence. Afterall his so called parents had raised him well, always to be kind and gentle to another, especially the ladies as his father would say. A grin surpressed upon his lips, thinking of the numerous talks he had, had with the Molentez's. Some of them causing him to cringe, though thankfully he did not do so now. They had been there to protect him. From the moment he left on their doorstop, they had cared and loved for him, just as any parent should do. It left him knowing that he did not need to find his real parents. He was happy as he was now. They obviously didn't want him.

never said I'd lie and wait forever.

She asked another question, but kept stum for the time being, as she beckoned him to follow further up the tower. It was amazing, and the view outstanding. Alexander could not help but beam. It was ever so peaceful here. Don't get me wrong, Queens was a beautiful place. But you could not get any better than here, at Trios Hogwarts. It was indeed full of natural beauties. "No, not long at all. I more or less, only just arrived. I'm still trying to take it all in to be honest. But enough about that, how long have you been here Rain?"

[/b] If she was to ever become a friend to dear Alex, he only hoped she stuck by him through all the time that was to come. Friends were meant to be there for you - just as he would always be there for them. His manners could not be doubted. In all, he was a handsome, kind boy whom cared for the others of this world. Though his anger could sometimes get the better of him. He made sure to not be around someone he cared about when it was released.

Rain shrugged and looked at the trees moving slightly in the wind, and her hair blew across her face slightly. She touched his cold hand and and curled her fingers around it. She didn't shiver or pull away. She didn't feel the cold. In fact she may have been blushing.

"I've been here pretty much the same. Not long enough to know many people. I like it though. Especially this part." she gestured to the view and turned back to Alexander. She looked at his clothes and wishe her parents had bought her some new stuff before she left. Dad had been at concerts a lot during the day. So mum had to pack their stuff with them and there was no time for clothes shopping.

She stared down at her scruffy, faded, ripped skinnies and played with the hem of her shirt.

"I think that everyone shoud be able to enjoy this. Not many people are mad enough to climb here but i'm not normal am I?" She smiled and brought her knees to her chest and hugged them close. She was pretty small. So were her mum and dad.

"So how's family life for you Alex? If I can call you that."

She had to admit that maybe, just maybe, she fancied Alexander.

Her cheeks turned a vivid red which made his mud brown eyes sparkle. It was always nice to think he made such an impact on another human-being, for it was what they deserved. Well some of them. People like his blood parents deserved nothing but unhappiness, yet he could never wish that upon him. He was hardly evil, hardly someone whom wanted another dead. No. They had brought him into this world, even if they had left him days later. Even with all of that, perhaps they deserved a fresh start. A chance to be forgiven by one above. Perhaps. Maybe now they had another child, one whom they actually cared for. Maybe they had died shortly after [suicide] Alexander would never know, because he had lost them years ago. A part of him wanted to see them, yes, but another part never wanted to meet them - in case of his heart being broken once again. Alexander was more or less in confusion.

His eyes gazed upon the view which she had gestured too. "I agree. This place has to be one of the best that I have visited. Though Rose Petal Lane is quite the place. It is incredibly beautiful. The roses are of many different colors - Reds, Whites, Purples, Pinks and I think there may even be some Yellow roses," he explained too her, giving a cheesy smile as usual. Hopefully she did not think him too geeky or such. "Indeed. Well there is a little bit of oddness in us all, trust me."

[/b] Giving a friendly wink, he sat indian style beside her.

People rarely called him Alex, it was normally Alexander as he kindly prefered. But the odd person whom did decide on asking whether they could, he just couldn't say no now. "Alex is fine." However now he had to answer a question he did not seem to find asked everyday. About his family. One of the most complicated things that could ever have possibly excisted, but yet he would give her an answer, even if it might have not made sense. "My family is complicated, but i'll tell you anyway. My blood parents left me days after my birth - well I assume so anyway. I was left on the doorstep of a family in Queens, New York. Nevertheless, they brought me up which I cannot thank them enough for. They are amazing, they really are," Master Molentez informed Rain.

She was a kind girl - one whom he was quickly making friends with in a short space of time.[/font][/blockquote][/size][/color]

Rain smiled. She remembered being small and her parents going to an award ceremony [My Chem won 2] and crying at no end until her parents came home. She felt sorry for Alex yet happy he had a great family now.

"yeah. My parents are never around. My mom's out all day and my dad's a musician. Can you guess what band? It's written on an item of my clothing."

She smiled and made sure her shirt could be seen. She cocked her head to one side and lay back on the roof tiles. She stared at the sky and sang again.

"Well let's go back to the middle of the day that start it all

She trailed off and traced her hoodie stitching.

"I guess Rose Petal Lane is nice. But I've never been. Sat up here a lot. I think, sing and play guitar alot. So I do it here."

She closed her eyes and thought about her siblings and pulled a picture out of her pocket. She still loved the way the people moved. She sat up and showed the picture to Alex and pointed out the figures.

"That's me. My mom. My dad. I bet you know what band now." She grinned and moved on. "My brother Frankie. His Twin Francis. My sister Jas. And my brother Gerard. I'm the youngest."

What her parents did was nothing compared to his life. At least she knew whom her parents were. They were the people that, even though they weren't always there, loved her. Alex could only feel jealous, hiding it by glancing at the floor. Fighting back the tears he knew oh-so-well. No one was allowed to see him at his worst. His weakness was them. Whatever there names were - something he doubted that he would ever know. They weren't people Alexander Molentez would see in the future. Never. And there was truelly no point ever thinking that would happen.

Sighing softly, the Rose Boy thought of what she had said. Her father was a famous musician. Something he should have figured out earlier. Her surname - Ireo. Only the surname of a man whom he had admired [no, he was not gay] for a while. Frank Ireo. My Chemical Romance. A favourite band of his. He gasped slightly at her, wanting to mutter a word such as 'Wow' or 'Amazing'. But nothing seemed to escape. She was the daughter of that man. That amazing man. Words had been taken from his mouth in a matter of seconds. Alexander merely sat there with his mouth open in shock/surprise/amazement.

"Are you serious!?" Thankfully he managed to talk again, otherwise Rain might think him some odd, deluded freak - which kindly he was not. In all seriousness. "That is beyond amazing Rain - trust me. Wow. Frank Ireo heh? A man I have admired for years," he added awkwardly, not wanting to seem like some crazy freak who was a massive fan of a dad. She might get the wrong idea about him.

'cause I'm your biggest fan,
would you leave me lying here?

She began singing, which Alexander found not only beautiful but random. The song was by My Chemical Romance - Headfirst For Halos. "I love that song," he muttered beneath his breath, not wanting to interupt Miss Ireo. Soon enough she trailed off from the singing, with him left breathless at how wonderful she was. Immediantly she returned to the conversation they were once having, him paying attention again. "This is certainly somewhere you can come to get away from other people. You might find me up here more often, I guess. Sometimes I just need to be alone .." trailing off slightly. He didn't always wanted to be surrounded by people after all.

Before he knew it, Alex Molentez was being shown a picture of her family. His thumb pressed against Frank, smiling oddly. He moved it to her. His new friend. Only friend - apart from Kei. Whom he hoped was a friend now, as they seemed to have connected well the first time they met. "You look quite beautiful in that picture."

Rain smiled as Alex sat with his mouth open in shock/surprise/amazement. She even giggled.

"i guess it's cool."

She smiled when she heard what he said as she sang.

"It's my favourite song. One of the first songs dad played in too." she giggled.

She watched as Alex looked at the photo. She blushed again as he said she looked quite beautiful in the picture.

"It was three days before I came here. I was annoyed that day. My boyfriend left me for some reason." She frowned at the thought but soon smiled again and continued to blush.

"You're my first friend here Alex. At least, I hope. My brothers and sisters are here somewhere but I don't know where. I've only talked to them so far."

She smiled and stood on the roof. She gained her balance and stood on tiptoes to see if she could see beyond the forest. There seemed to be nothing there. She grinned and bounced back down on to her heels. She slipped slightly and lost her balance, landing on her knees..

Guess it's cool? Astonished at her answer, he turned from her for a second. Surely it must be beyond amazing to have a father like Frank. But it wasn't the fame that Alexander liked about him. No. It was the fact that the man was a fantastic musisican - whom as he could see, had a more or less perfect life. With a family that cared about him. Hearing Rain's responce made no sense to him, but it wouldn't. His life was different to that of hers, he couldn't begin to compare them even if he wanted too. "Fair enough." Giving a half-hearted smile to the wall or whatever, he let his eyes once again gaze too her. "To be honest, I think it is quite amazing what you have. Not just the fact that you have a father like that - but that fact that you know your real parents. I can't even begin to imagine what that would be like, because i don't have that. I'll never have that," the Proud Mihael sighed, wondering why on earth he had said that to Miss Ireo. Pathetic really. It was as though he wanted her to feel sorry for him, which was not how he had ever wanted things.

Alex was quite sad to hear of the split from her boyfriend, patting her on the shoulder in a sign of comfort. "He obviously wasn't thinking straight. Oh well, you deserve better than him, right?" muttered the tall, handsome boy whom never liked to see another hurt. If she somehow got the wrong idea, he of course would have to put her right. Alex had never been someone to fall for a girl minutes after meeting someone. There had been a few girlfriends in his life, both as special as one another. Sadly things hadn't ended quite as he had hoped, and neither of the two spoke to him anymore. Well not face-to-face - they spoke on a messenger service and through email to him, but never would they come face to face with Alexander anymore.

"You too are one of my first friends. You and Kei. Amazing really. I'm kinda glad I ended up here tonight," the Mihael informed her, with a huge grin planted upon his face. "So thanks."

Rain shrugged. "he was annoying anyway. Always wanted to make out, never talk."

She stared off thinking for a while.

"i'm glad i'm your friend. I missed out on that at home. All my friends left me at a young age. I'm happy to start living life."

She smiled and found some gel in her bag to fix her hair a little. She hadn't done it before coming out this morning. She rubbed the sticky stuff onto her hands and began to style her hair, making it stickout straight and coming to little points ant the bottom. Once she was happy she turned to Alex.

"Don't mind me. I hate it when my hair isn't sorted out right. And I'm sorry about your parents but I don't actually think of my parents as mine. I'll give you -" she pulled a handful of coins out of her pocket and counted them quickly. "7 galleons, 4 sickles and 8 knuts if you can name three people you know, that know about me and my siblings. I bet not even you knew before I told you to guess. We're a secret you see, so we can lead a normal school life. So honestly, I know what it's like. We spend more time with the family next door who are close friends of my mum and dad's, than with my parents."

She could almost feel what it's like to not know your parents. Seeing as it's important that the family was careful in public, few people knew about the Iero children. She began to sing 'All I want for christmas is you' to the tune the band had used, which was much more like rock than christmas.
