The clock... tick... tock... tick... tock..

Time is only a thing that you can't control. Joe is a person that wants to try things but thinks before and then gives up. It didn't matter if he got hurt or anything, but you have to think for a minute and then try whatever unless that you think that something is going to happen that will destroy your life forever. To him that isn't a problem. The problem is that he didn't want to go too much back where he got to that part of time where something bad happens. People will catch him because there were a lot of people at the time and you just can't get caught. That was the problem.

The clock tower is a place where it shows what time is it and it goes. Tick, tock, tick, tock, all day and nothing else To him it evens slower than the waves at the lake that goes, back and forth, back and forth. Nothing else. It's a good thing to know what time is it but some times that you just doesn't want to know. By the time Joe got there and stop there were footsteps coming. Who was it?[/size]

Ashleigh wandered up the steps. She was carrying her sketchpad. She giggled at a memory from a while ago; Alex tripping from the top of the hil and rolling all the way down despite his hayfever. Her laugh echoed about the tower. She loved being in the clock tower. It was always so quiet and a nice place to think. She knew she wasn't going to grow up now. Of course she wasn't. She could count the years but she would always look like a 13 year old girl. She knew Alex would always be a 15 year old boy and it would be nice to spend the rest of their eternities together.

But she would be smaller than her younger sisters as they grew up. She would always look like the youngest although she was actually the youngest. She would look 13 at her parents' funerals and her sisters' and her neices' and nephews' and even her great neices' and nephews'. She remebered the stupid Peter Pan story. She'd wanted to stay young forever at that age. Now she wanted to grow up and get married.

But life goes on. She reached the top of the stairs and froze. Another boy was here today.

The footsteps were gaining. The person was coming closer up the stairs. Who was it? That was the question in Joe Moon's mind. That was the only thng that he could get in his mind right now. There was another question that he could get out of his head. Is the person a first year or an older year? Again so far those were the only questions in his head now.

Footsteps...

They were louder now. He still didn't answer his questions but Joe will find out soon. As the person reached to the top and finally open the door. Here comes the answer. It was a first year Raveclaw girl who froze when she saw him. "Hello?" Joe said to her.[/size]

"Hello. "Ashleigh whispered as the boy spoke. He was a lot older than her. Almost scary. She looked him for a while. God, what if she'd disturbed him? He was so much older than her. Anything could happen.

"i'm sorry. I'll just... go?"

She turned.

Joe didn't say anything about her to leave the place. That didn't came into the subject really. She didn't have to go. It was her choise to come anyways. You might as well stay for atleast five mintues to go to the place and moving again. "You don't have to go but it is your choise if you want to go or not. Your welcome to stay if you like."

He didn't know if she heard him. Most likely did but the girl did turn away from him. Was she going to leave. Joe hoped not. Somethings that you just want to get to know thing and then leave and hope to see you later kind of thing that Joe likes to do.

She wasn't in trouble or anything like that. It is not night time. All are the classes are over so the ravenclaw girl is free to do as she wants but hopefully not to break the rules but otherwise she was free to do whatever. "You know that your not in trouble right. And it's Joe Moon." That was something that he forgot to do. Introduce himself. It was fine now but what was her name?[/size]

She heard him speak as she made to leave the tower. She turned to face him and came to stand by Joe.
"I'm Ashleigh, Ashleigh Yarwood." Staring about the tower she wandered over to a bench, looked up at the cogs above her head and then back to Joe.

"Nice place to think, huh?"

She recognized him as the Ravenclaw Head Boy. She'd noticed him sometimes around school but never said anything. It'd be nice to have someone to talk to. She liked Joe. Maybe one of the slightly younger years would have told her to go away. But he didn't.

"So you come here often?" Ashleigh muttered beneath her breath.

"Nice to meet you Ashieigh," Joe replied. Another Ravenclaw, finally will she stay till she gratuate or be like the others who will just not pay attention and leave the place and never come back like most of the first years that he knew. He hated first years that leave at the end of the term.

This place is a great place to hang out. The Blue memorial was the time when he was a first year and they were talking about that Anna Blue died from something. Maybe a car crash. "Yeah I like this place." That was the only thing that he could say. The clock would not go slower or faster just as the same paste as the other ones everywhere.

"No I don't but this is just a place to get away from the world and that such," Joe explained. That was the best reason that he could make to come to the clock tower. To get away. One more month till he gratuates from Trio's Hogwarts. Man that is quick. Got to get ride of that thought even though it will happen in a month.[/color][/size][/size]

Ashleigh smiled. That's why she always came to this place too.
"I like it. The cogs turning and the slow tic-tock. It calms me down. Ha. I've been here two days and already been angry."

Ashleigh remembered the reason well. Everywhere she went she was getting awkward stairs. She'd walked in and kicked one of the columns hard. She studied Joe. He was deep in thought.

"Sooo... You leaving soon then?"

"Well I like it here because..." Joe paused for a minute. "I don't know it is just I like it!" That was the most logical thing that this Ravenclaw ever said in his life. Wow! He is just normal today. Forgeting about gratation was feeling great. Yay off gratation!

Sooo... you leaving soon then? Ashleigh asked Joe that. "No not for a while now till things get through me and out." He ment that to keep his mind off things and till it's gone then he would leave.[/size]

"Sorry. Trust me to be curious. So d'you have any hobbies? Other than come here." she stared over at Joe.

She knew he was leaving soon. Why bother asking? Sighing, she stood and walked to the window. She could see alot of the grounds from the tower.

"It's lovely to look out from here. Everything's so far away that you don't feel like a part of it all. You ever noticed that?"

"It's O.K., I don't mind people asking me questions. I like to go to the lake, that is just my favorite place in the world here." Just looking at the waves going back and forth all day, it was just time slowing down. The lake is his favorite place because he likes to skip rocks and look at the vibrations that the rock makes and it will keep on doing that until all the energy on the rock is gone and it would go all the way to the bottom of the lake. Never will be seen again.

I know how you feel being away from the world, sometimes it is just like not even being there even though you are there. Just high up that somepeople could see you or not," He explained. The Ravenclaw didn't move, just layed down there. It seemed like he was talking to himself. Even though that there is someone else with him which was nice of her to talk with him.[/size]

Ashleigh smiled and the pentacle on a chain around her neck reminded her of a very special day at the lake.

"Yeah the lake is nice to go. Great place for making friends."

She hadn't been able to find Lloyd that morning so resulted in figuring he was still in bed. So she came here.

Joe hadn't moved. He was still lying on the floor staring upwards.

"Do you have any plans for after this place? I've already promised Beck that I'll help him for the next millenia and Lloyd's probably going to end up living with me."

Joe listen to what she said about what the heck is he going to do after gratuation. "Well grab a fat note book, find a place to live, which is the very first thing. Look for a job. Then I would have to get an account at Grinngots. I don't remember if I have one or not but if I don't then I will have to get one," The Head Boy explained.[/size]

Ashleigh smiled.

"Yeah that's life. Actually I'm meant to be helping Beck find new magic. And we have no idea where to begin. And I hope to spend all my life until I get a stake to the heart with Lloyd. That's about as far as my plans go. But I've got plenty of time to work out what to do in life. Maybe magical creatures when I'm not with Beck or Lloyd."

Ashleigh chuckled. "So where'd you live now?"

"Well helping people is nice," Joe said with as a positive note. "Well you have a month here and six more terms till you gratuate, it will take a while but it will be worth it at the end." Helping is a great thing to do with other people it is a nice thing too. (Well duh)!

"Well I like in the Boy corridor in the Ravenclaw corridor right now but I will be out of here in a month so that will take a little while before I will be gone. Of course I will come back and visit once in a while which is better than nothing. That was all he could say about where he is going to live after gratuation.[/size]
