Today was a day that Amanda reserved herself in the library. All her homework was finished and practice wouldn't be until another week once trials were over with. She wasn't the type to be seen in the library, but why not take advantage of all the knowledge written in these books? She needed something to do, other than nap in her dorm, so why not read.
Amanda was fond of reading. Practically lived her life in her own library at home. Thus she began writing. And writing was a passion Amanda loved. That is how she was the gossip columnist for this school. Well she retired long ago, worn out, and no inspiration. Though there is one thing she could always look forward to; Quidditch.
She walked inside the library, not sure where to start off first. Her sapphire orbs glanced around every corner of this room. The walls were full of shelf upon shelf with tons of books of many different sizes. She headed straight toward the back, nearest to the restricted section, and began looking over books on charms. Perhaps she could do a little off studying herself. Advanced charms. Oh wouldn't H. Slughorn love that.
As she was fingering the binds of each book, reading the titles, one struck her most interestingly. Taking that book out, she held it's large pages in both her arms to a table nearby a large window. She sat down with the book, which made a loud thud on the table with dust fluttering everywhere. "Ugh, allergies!" She sneezed and shook her head, then opening the book to the index, and reading where to begin with charms.
Ally was sitting in her dorm bored as heck. So she got up and changed out of her PJ's into some real clothing. She had on a White Aeropostale T-Shirt with Aeropoatale written in Pink Letters. She had on blue jeans and a pair of Speery Topsiders. She quickly walked down to the library her wand in he rpocket to see Amanda Larsen sitting over there. Ally smiled and while walking over there she put her hair in a ponytail. Well this was it. Her and Amanda. Hadnt been like that in a while. Ally smiled. She quickly sat down beside Amanda. "Watcha Doin?" Allys curiousty echoed through the Library. Then Ally got up and grabbed a book on MAJOR DEFENCE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS ISSUE II. Gosh DADA Ally's favorite subject. Ally was a bad girl. She ahd been sent to he Head Of Houses office 7 times this week. If only she wouldnt go back. Like that would happen. Curiosity carried Ally through the pages of the book. She thought for a second. I could be flying right now. But shrugge and looked at Amanda. Amanda semed really into it.

Flipping through the first few pages, Amanda had noticed that these were the same spells she had learned in DADA and Charms. So they weren't as advanced as she would have thought. Perhaps farther into the book she would get to the more difficult spells. If she were permitted to practice within these library walls. Nah, the librarian wouldn't let her.
Though, Amanda was the mischievious type. The library was full of enclosed areas for study and dark corners. Luckily she brought her wand for good use today. The next page looked interesting. Glancing around, she noticed no one in sight, so she continued reading like any studious student would do. Just studying the effects, the movement, and incantation of this particular spell.
Halfway through the page, she was startled when Ally had joined her at the table so nimbly. Her heart beated, practically thrusted hard against her chest as she looked at the Gryffindor. "Hello Ally." She smiled faintly as she sat back in her chair. "I was just reading up on some spells. Debating whether or not to practice them in private. Some of those advanced spells, you know?"
Ally had left the table for a moment, which gave Amanda time to look back at the text, reading a bit more until Ally had returned with her own book. Amanda looked at the binding, reading the title, and smiled. "So what is up with you? Any particular reason for being in the library when the weather outside is so wonderful?"
