Nearly in trouble [David Street]

What an absolutely ridiculous day. Sadie Radcliffe, the perfect little Gryffindor, model student, aspiring prefect... had nearly lost house points. And of course it had been the fault of a Slytherin boy, no less. She had promised herself not to get near anyone from the infamous house the moment she'd received her letter for Hogwarts, and this certainly wasn't the way to go about it. Of course, how could she have known that warning a fellow student of the dangers of the forbidden forest would be a near academic death sentence? How would she ever live it down? Would that ridiculous T.A. send an owl home to her parents? Would he file this indiscretion with her Head of House? Or worse yet, the Headmistress?

Standing in the dark forest between a Slytherin near her own age and her History of Magic teacher Sadie had felt ill. That sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach had only increased as Dennis Gregory mentioned removing house points, and as far as she was concerned he had been about to take them before having a sudden change of heart. Maybe he couldn't bear to take them from his favorite house. Whatever the reason, it didn't stop the nausea that washed over Sadie immediately afterward. The assistant had (presumably) escorted the two students from the woods after a thorough scolding, then left them to their own devices. When the Slytherin boy's lips had parted, whether to offer a snide remark or toss some jinx at Sadie as she would have assumed, the girl walked off in a daze. She strode with a purpose across the grounds and in the main door, her head in a bit of a fog.

Once inside, the rather numb young lady found a portrait that she had often used as a shortcut passage to the higher floors... it seemed to dump her randomly upon the seventh floor this time, as though trying to make her day that much worse. Thinking only of how desperate she was to escape her own thoughts, Sadie stumbled upon a strange doorway. It hadn't been one she'd noticed before; in fact it seemed to have appeared from thin air. The second year placed a hand upon the knob, and turning it she found herself in the Room of Requirement.

It was filled with comfort, pillows all over the floor, over-stuffed chairs and couches, a table with various snacks and a bottle of butter beer awaited her amidst it all. And somehow her new kitten had found its way to the room...perhaps the room knew that this animal would make her feel better. She needed cheering up, after all. Heaving a soft sigh, she didn't even feel up to marveling at the strangely convenient place that she'd stumbled upon. Sadie stepped over to a mass of pillows, scooping her tiny kitten into her arms and flopping down amidst it all. She buried her face against the furry little creature as a warm tear slid down her pale cheek.

Stupid Slytherins. Getting her in trouble like that...risking her future, all for a dumb boy that probably deserved to meet a blast-ended skrewt. A few more tears disappeared into the tiny animal's fur. Its response was to squeak in its tiny little voice and paw at Sadie's earring.

David was still rather shaken up about the events that had happened upon him today. If he had gotten himself into trouble it wouldn’t have been as terrible but that darn Gryffindor had to follow him and get into trouble as well. And no matter how much David tried to dismiss it, he felt guilty for nearly getting her into trouble. Yet now after the T.A. had led the two out of the forest and sent them upon their way, he couldn’t help but to think what may happen.

Not that he was worried on his own account. The only reason he really had been worried is the thought of having to leave Lillian again, and of course the fact that the girl who had followed him to give him her own lecture got one as well. A sigh escaped the thin lips as he grimaced at anyone who even looked his way as he walked through the hallways of the school.

If only that girl would have stayed put for a moment, I could have at least apologized before I got a nice blessing out by Lilly.. Maybe that would have helped.. Who am I kidding though.

If David had apologized to the girl she would have simply hexed him and been on her way, so it wouldn’t have done much good anyway. Yet he had planned on trying, though as soon as he had gotten his mouth open the girl had walked off and made her way to the doorway before he even realized what was going on. Which at the time didn’t really bother him that much, he had just stuck his nose in the air and went upon his way.

After a bit of wondering he spotted the girl from the forest, or whom he thought was the girl from the forest, heading into a portrait. Quickening his step he cursed himself in his head. You’re a right fool David Street. Your going to get yourself hexed as sure as your standing here. Though he didn’t really care. He knew that if he didn’t apologize not only was Lilly going to give it to him for that, he would never shake that guilty feeling in his gut.

Following the girl through the portrait he tried to stay as quiet as possible as he watched her entering a doorway.. Upon her entrance the door began to shrink so David had to lunge through the door to get into the room as well, but he made it into the room behind her. It was filled with pillows and chairs that seemed to have way to much stuffing in them though they did seem rather cozy. But he let his eyes roam around the room until he saw the girl again.

She was laying amongst the pillows with a small furry creature in her arms that he thought was a kitten but he couldn’t be sure. Hearing the sounds from the kitten and the nearly nonexistent sounds from the girl he could tell that she was crying which caused David to look to the floor and stick his hands in his pockets. “Hey.” He spoke in a very soft tone, not wanting to startle the girl and not wanting to get an upset kitten thrown at his head either.

“Look, I didn’t mean for you to get into trouble or anything.. If you want I’ll go to Mr. Gregory and see if I can talk to him again.”

When Sadie heard the boy's voice her body stiffened. She slowly lowered her kitten to the floor, allowing it to waddle off on its own. Swallowing slightly, she raised a hand to dab a few tears from her cheeks. The girl slowed her breathing, calming herself. While her back was turned she quickly regained her composure, determined not to let him see her cry.

With a soft sigh, Sadie turned to face the Slytherin. She looked up at him from her seat on the floor, her expression neutral. It was apparent that she had been crying, however she seemed fine at the moment. Clearing her throat softly the girl spoke, "Hey."

Sadie's wand was tucked in a pocket and she made no movement toward it. Somehow she seemed far less hostile than in the harrowing moments in the forest with Dennis. It may have been the threat of punishment, or a black mark on her record that had riled her up. Either way, she seemed quiet now, though she still did not smile.

Folding her hands in her lap, Sadie watched the boy quietly. She didn't bother to stand up in spite of how vulnerable she seemed there on the floor. The atmosphere in the room was comforting. Perhaps Sadie felt as if it wouldn't let anything harm her. While she waited for the Slytherin whose name she still didn't know to say something, Sadie noticed that her kitten had found his foot. It pounced awkwardly, chewing on shoestrings (if he had any) as it laid down atop one of his feet. The Gryffindor couldn't help herself... a smile crept across her soft lips.

"Careful..."

She gestured toward his shoe, making sure that he didn't accidentally hurt the tiny kitten. Not sure of his intentions, she lowered a hand and called for the small animal. Sadie didn't know if he was the sort who liked cats... she tried to coax the tiny thing to return to her lap, but it had other plans. With a bit of a squeak it rolled off his foot only to flip over and try again. It tugged at his feet as ferociously as it could. She giggled softly.

"It likes you..."

David could tell that his presence wasn’t exactly a great pleasure for the girl but he stood his grounds none the less. He had finally looked away from the ground and to the girl as she got herself together and looked up at him from her seat and spoke her hello to him. That did at least make him feel a little bit better, at least she wasn’t cursing him just yet. Removing his hands from his pockets he let one hand rest on the back of his neck as the other one dangled to his side.

Rubbing his neck slightly he looked around and let out a sigh that sounded sort of painful as if it was absolutely killing him to stand there and think the thoughts that where going through his head. He looked back at the door, which on this side seemed perfectly normal, and debated on turning and leaving but then he heard the girl say ‘careful’ and he looked around at her with a odd look on his face as he did.

Seeing her gesturing toward his foot he looked down and saw the fuzzy animal that had once been in her arms attacking his shoestrings and rolling about at his feet. Seeing her motioning for the cat to come too her like she thought that David may bend down and eat the cat or something he grinned before leaning down and carefully picking the kitten up and cradling it in his arms.

Though David would never admit it to anyone, he had always liked kittens. They where soft and fuzzy and cozy little things. He had gotten attached to them when his moms cat had kittens once and then the mother passed away so the kittens had to be raised by them instead of their mother like usual. That was a rather odd time, but it was fun for Dave none the less.

“You certainly are a feisty one aren’t you.” He chuckled a little as he carefully and playfully wrestled the kitten in his arms before looking back at the girl, quickly loosing the smile and handing her the kitten as if someone had punched him in the gut. “Might want to keep an eye on this one.. He can attack the wrong persons foot and be knocked across the room.”

The Gryffindor watched as her kitten toyed with the Slytherin's shoelaces. Her attempts to coax the animal away from him went on deaf ears, though she didn't flinch when he picked the animal up to cradle it in his arms. When he finished cuddling the kitten and handed it back, Sadie responded to his advice calmly.

"I don't let him near just anyone."

She rubbed between the tiny thing's ears, her gaze lowering to the kitten rather than finding the boy's eyes. Somehow Sadie had known that this boy wouldn't harm her pet, just the way she knew he wasn't here to jinx her. She felt the room wouldn't allow it. Shifting her weight to her knees the girl carefully raised to her feet while still holding the kitten.

"You don't have to talk to Dennis. You saw how well that worked outside..."

Avoiding his gaze, she turned her back on him to walk a bit further into the room toward a couch. Flopping down upon it, the girl let her kitten wander free from her lap.

"So how much did you want to throw a bat-bogey hex at our dear History of Magic T.A.? I know I would have loved to..."

It seemed like she was trying to be friendly, though for some reason she wouldn't look at the boy. They still hadn't been introduced, and suddenly Sadie was feeling awkward around him. If he wasn't here to hurt her, and he had already apologized in the forest...what more could he want?

When the girl said that she didn’t let him near anyone he chuckled slightly and raised an eyebrow at her before speaking in his low gruff tone. “But he came around me and you didn’t jump to his rescue. So your statement isn’t exactly true now is it?” His tone was tweaked slightly from his usual tone, now there was a hint of teasing in his voice even though it probably wasn’t the best idea since he had just got done apologizing for the near expelling that they nearly got because of him.

Though he wasn’t really one to keep on peoples good side for too long. His smart remarks usually got him on their bad side as soon as he arrived on the good. After a moment David’s eyes landed on the girl again as she stood herself up in front of him, holding the kitten which made her seem much less threatening than she did in the forest while pointing a wand at him. Hearing her speak he gave a nod before returning a comment to her.

“Yeah… Just thought I would offer.” He could tell that the girl was trying her best to avoid making eye contact with him he looked away doing the same for the moment. “I just don’t want you to have anything like on your record or anything.. I mean my record is going to be smudged enough but you don’t seem that type… And I’m being quiet.” He said with a slight chuckle as he looked back at the girl to see her sitting on the couch now.

While the kitten roamed across her lap, she spoke to him again and he couldn’t help but laugh at the comment and her attempts to be friendly with him. Giving a nod he walked toward a chair that was near the couch and sat down upon it, hoping that she didn’t mind him joining her. “Yeah, well he wasn’t exactly on the top of my ‘People To Run Into While In The Forest’ list… Then again that’s a nonexistent list. I was hoping I would get to do some exploring alone.”

He chuckled slightly and then raised his hands to the girl as if surrendering. “Though don’t worry your well worded lecture has taught me not to go there again.” He gave her a grin. There was a question that had been bugging him but he wasn’t sure if he really wanted to ask her or not but finally he blurted out. “Why did you follow me anyway? I mean its clearly against your morals to be in there so why did you risk getting hurt or caught to tell me off?” His expression changed to wonder as he looked the girl over, catching her eyes for a split second before looking away.

Quirking a brow Sadie actually looked up at him, their eyes met and she immediately lowered her gaze. She didn't mind that he sat with her, but he made her slightly nervous. Not particularly because she was afraid of him...perhaps for some other reason? With a bit of a smirk she countered his question.

"I said 'JUST anyone'... Usually he stays in the girl's dorm, but I've only ever let him play with friends. Or people I trust to some degree."

She let him ponder her response, whether or not she intended to imply that she trusted him. As the kitten crossed to the middle of the couch it slid into the floor awkwardly. When the boy mentioned her record Sadie laughed outright. He was right on target. Of course the perfect little Second Year wouldn't be caught dead with a toe out of line normally. She must have been feeling ill today or something...

"To tell you the truth Dear Dennis isn't on my list of people that I'd really like to run into anywhere. Maybe I'm being harsh..."

As he asked her about her motives for following him into the forest Sadie's cheeks burned slightly. She sincerely hoped that this boy didn't notice the blush of her normally pale cheeks. She shook her head slightly, allowing platinum hair to rain down before her face in a bit of a veil. With this aid concealing her lovely features, the girl thought for a moment about how to respond.

"You're right... I wouldn't usually have bounded in like that. I...'m not sure why I followed you."

It wasn't entirely true. Sadie had thought of a number of things when she initially decided to trail the Slytherin into the forest. First and foremost she didn't know that he was a Slytherin. She possibly would have been more cautious of treachery at the time had she known. But in spite of this all, it came down to the fact that she was concerned for his safety. She hadn't wanted him to get hurt if he just didn't know better.

When the girl countered his comment he couldn’t help but chuckle slightly as he responded back to her rather quickly. “Ah, so now your trusting a Slytherin? Boy, I do know how to work those charms don’t I young Gryffindor?” He raised his brows at her in a slightly quizzical way before he let himself sink more comfortably in the chair. Even with the extra stuffing and pillows they had, for some reason this particular one wasn’t exactly the most comfortable perch he had in a while. His eyes had been else where as he attempted to make himself a bit more comfortable so he was slightly shocked at the girls laugh at his comments on her record.

He looked up at her awkwardly for a moment and then watched the kitten as he began pattering about again. He certainly was the lively thing. But his attention was turned to the girl as she spoke of the T.A. again. “Oh?” He sat forward slightly still fighting with the chair as he spoke. “No offence or anything but you seem the type to be all sugar and spice with all your teachers.” He grinned slightly and then spoke once more. “Why not our dearest Mr. Gregory?”

After a few more minutes of a great fight with the chair he decided to bow out gracefully and throw a couple of the pillows into the floor as he sat back in the chair. After doing so he noticed that the girl had blushed slightly but quickly let her hair hide the fact. His eyebrows came together slightly at this as he tried to figure out what about the question would make her blush but he simply shrugged it off as she answered him.

“Ah so I just bring out the rebellion in you, even before we meet.. Don’t be upset though, I have that effect on a lot of people.” His grin grew brighter as he joked with the girl still and in a flash a wink could be seen but of course it disappeared again as quickly as it had shown up. “But really, you see someone going into the forest.. So you follow them? I must say not the brightest idea.” He let his head fall to the side slightly as he thought for a moment.

Sadie rolled her eyes at the boy as he mentioned working "those charms." Surely he was joking. He didn't even have enough sense to stay out of a place with a name like the "Forbidden Forest." Anyone that dense could hardly be expected to be very smooth. And as it was currently, he seemed to be wrestling with his over-stuffed armchair, yet again docking him smooth points. She didn't particularly trust him because of this so-called charm that he may or may not have possessed. It was more a feeling, really. Something to do with his sincere apologies, or the fact that he honestly wanted to keep her from getting into trouble.

Rather than comment about this strange feeling, Sadie shifted in her seat, glad a different subject had been brought up. With the mention of the T.A. Sadie frowned slightly. The truth hurt sometimes, and at the suggestion of playing teacher's pet wasn't the nicest thing that had ever been said about her. It wasn't that she had any sort of vendetta against the man. Nothing of the sort. He just seemed so odd to her.

"I don't hate Dennis or anything... he just feels really... fake. I mean, directly after one of the other T.A.'s had a balloon fight in class to teach a lesson he immediately has a water balloon fight just for fun? And last class he had ice cream and brownies... This girl made the point that we aren't kindergarteners."

Sadie shook her head and the suggestion of bringing out the rebel in her. As if that were possible... She would sooner have a heart attack than damage her chances of becoming a prefect, and ultimately Head Girl. This goofy Slytherin wouldn't be enough to sway her from her future, even if she did need to lighten up just a little.

"Don't talk to me about bright Mr. 'Take on the forest single-handedly'. I wouldn't normally have followed someone inside, I just felt like if you were stupid enough to go you were also stupid enough to get yourself killed..."

She shifted in her own seat, glancing up at him once again. This time she seemed a bit more on the offensive.

Seeing the girl rolling her eyes at him he chuckled mostly to himself. He knew that he wasn’t exactly one of those calm cool collected guys who knew exactly what to say and do at all times, but of course he was that goofy kid that always got into more trouble than he could get out. Yet even knowing that the eye roll was sort of a chip to the ego. But before he could comment anymore on his charms and cool factor or lack there of he noticed that she was frowning and quickly picked up that it was because of the T.A. that had busted them.

Listening to her description of why she wasn’t crazy over the guy he chuckled slightly and shook his head. “Man I don’t know about you but getting ice cream and brownies is my type of class.. If I had known that I would have definitely made myself present for that class.” He scratched his forehead slightly as he spoke, pretty much admitting without realizing that he rarely went to a class anyway. He didn’t really feel the need to grace them with his presence all that much. Though if he didn’t soon he was going to end up failing and that would be lovely.

“Kindergarten was the only grade, if you could call it that, that I liked. I mean you get snacks and you get to nap every afternoon. What more could one need.” He grinned and then shook his head slightly as he propped his head up on his arm that was resting upon the chair arm. Finally the defiant chair was starting to agree with him as he finally found a position that didn’t make him feel as if the chair was going to dump him into the floor at any given moment.

But soon after he moved around again with the comments that the girl was flinging around about his not being bright and going into the forest. Though instead of letting her comments get to him, Dave grinned brightly at her and cocked his head to the side before speaking. “You know, you are cute when your condescending people.” He tried to keep a straight face but ended up bursting out laughing anyway.

Though after a moment he collected himself again and shook his head. “Though I must admit in the bright field, this crayon is a slightly brighter hue… I mean yes I did head into the forbidden forest by myself.. But you did too, following the person into the forest who could have been a crazy killer or something like that.. Thankfully it was just sweet little me.” He grinned at her before shaking his head once more.

A smirk crept across her pursed lips when he mentioned his poor attendance. They were opposites when it came to ideas about class, this much was certain. Sadie sat up a bit straighter on the couch, curling her legs up to tuck her feet underneath her body. Shaking her head, she chuckled.

"I guess I just felt like brownies and ice cream were a waste of my time. I could have gone down to the Great Hall and gotten some with a friend or something. It just seems like he runs out of useful stuff to teach us, so instead of letting us go he's like 'Hey, I know...! I'm going to try and increase my popularity with the students!' Maybe I'm backwards... After all, I like Ms. Kohn, the Herbology T.A."

This was something that very few people would ever be able to honestly say. The woman was strict and all business, but Sadie had learned early on that if you followed directions and asked intelligent questions or responded during class she wasn't bad at all. Perhaps that was the difference.

"Maybe it's just respect. I respect Ms. Kohn."

His mention of Kindergarten made Sadie giggle yet again. This boy was very much a slacker, but somehow the more time she spent with him the less she seemed to mind. In most people this quality was highly offensive to Sadie. Maybe this boy had charm after all.

"Kindergarten was great, but there wasn't any magic involved. I can't believe you don't want to learn more spells. Do you know how great you could be some day? I can't imagine anyone not wanting to know all they could! Spells to turn you into an animal, potions that turn you into your friends...!"

Soon after she had decided to sit upon her feet, Sadie felt as if her legs were falling asleep. With a bit of a restless sigh she shifted positions once more, stretching her legs out along the couch. And when the forest came up, the boy's response was enough to yet again embarrass Sadie. Biting her lip, she managed not to blush though she went back to avoiding his gaze rather awkwardly.

"I don't condescend! I just didn't want you to get hurt. Really, I don't know why I followed you. I wanted to help you if you got into some sort of peril...or something. I don't know!"

She pouted a bit, folding her arms across her chest and leaning against the arm of the couch and away from him. Sadie didn't even dare a glance in his direction. He'd mentioned her being cute, which of course was not something she heard very often from boys... and she STILL didn't know this one's name. But he certainly was frustrating.

David chuckled along with her when she spoke of the brownies and ice cream again. She did have a good point, but she seemed slightly over obsessed with studying which only reminded David of Lilly more. They did have a lot in common those two, which made him wonder if they had ever happened across one another, they would surely be friends.

When she spoke of another T.A. Ms. Kohn, David really wasn't able to say much on the subject. Due to his lack of going to classes he had never met the Ms. Kohn who he was now informed that the girl respected. "Well, I haven't really met many of the teachers or assistants.. In fact, Mr. Gregory was the first." He chuckled slightly and then shook his head deciding that it was time to at least go to one class.

David sat quietly for a moment before the girl once again started talking and made him sort of let out a half of a chuckle under his breath before he scratched his head while she went on about how great he could be. He had gotten that speech many times, though never about magic of course. "Well how do you know I could be great. You've just met me.." He raised his eyebrow at the girl slightly before once again going into silence.

Once he was quiet again David sort of watched the girl, but would look away from time to time as not to seem like he was staring at her or anything. Realizing that he had made her uncomfortable with his comment he made a mental note not to do that again and then chortled at her trying to explain herself again only to get frustrated and fold her arms to pout.

"Well, I was only kidding about the condensing part... But you really shouldn't just follow anyone into a dark forest, even if its not forbidden." He gave her a little half grin before sinking into his chair farther before finally realizing he still didn't know the name of the girl he had been chatting with. "Well since your so caring, ya know following me into the woods just to make sure I don't get myself killed or what not I think it would be appropriate for a introduction.. I'm David Street."

Finally! He seemed to suddenly realize their lack of introduction, which had been playing in Sadie's mind quite a bit during this visit. It felt as if she had been through quite a bit with him and it was odd to not have even known who he was at the time.

"David... It's nice to meet you. I'm Sadie Radcliffe."

She turned to face him, though their eyes did not meet. Sadie swung her legs off the edge of the couch as she stuck her hand out as though to shake his rather stiffly. It was a constant roller coaster with this one. She flashed hot and cold with David for some strange reason. Perhaps because she couldn't figure out whether she liked him or not. He was cheeky, or was it rude? Sarcastic...or maybe he was only joking. Who could tell? Above all, he was a Slytherin.

"And yes, you should start going to class...otherwise you'll be behind and how odd will it be flirting with all those younger girls while the rest of us go on to bigger and better things.... And you're certainly right that I don't know whether or not you could be great. I simply assume because it wouldn't be hard with effort that you're capable."

Tucking her hand back under her, Sadie leaned against the arm of the couch again. She grinned to herself momentarily as a stray thought crossed her mind, something that she was not about to let him in on. As if to change the topic before he could ask, she hurried on.

"The for the last time, I only followed you into the forest to make sure you didn't get hurt. I can take care of myself, I don't need you..."

David gave a quick grin when she introduced herself and then extended a hand to him. Leaning forward he took her hand in his and gave it a couple of firm shakes before once again letting her hand go. "Nice too meet you Sadie." Letting out a slightly random chuckle he leaned back into the chair again before speaking. "Thats odd.. I usually know the names of people before I get them into some sort of trouble.. First time for everything I suppose."

He always could crack a joke about something, usually at the oddest of times too. It was a gift and a curse. Caused many people to hate him not that David really minded that though. He was the type of person who could care less if he was liked or hated. As Sadie started talking again, about going to classes, David made a bit of a face. A mixture of being uncomfortable, embarrassed, and not caring all in one. Odd mixture yes.

"Well, as for those younger girls, I'm sure they would be thrilled.. But I am planning on attending classes.. Maybe." David let a sly grin fall on his lips before he once again spoke, being both mean and teasing. "You sure do care a lot for someone who just met someone." Chuckling slightly David let his hand go to his pocket that contained his necklace and his wand, just making sure that the necklace was there.. He had a bad habit of doing that now-a-days.

He was lost in thought after he made sure it was there, so he was rather shocked when Sadie spoke again, sounding rather irritated by the subject. "Geez." He said throwing his hands up as if surrendering. "Sorry, I forgot your the big bad Gryffindor who is so advanced in magic she didn't need anyone to be concerned." His tone was only half joking now, yet his expression was clearly showing a 'you know I'm right' vibe.

Sadie curled up in her corner of the couch once he let go of her hand. She listened as he spoke, though the first bits didn't seem to need a response. When he latched onto the subject of girls she cringed slightly. It was obvious that she shouldn't have brought it up in the first place.

"I don't care a bit! I just...well, I thought maybe you'd want to be among your classmates, that's all... "

For a moment it looked as though she started to comment on something else, probably about the other girls, but then she thought better of it. He'd only tease her more, and get the wrong idea! What had she been thinking, mentioning them in the first place? This David kid was making her crazy, that's all. She was just frustrated by him...

"So go if you like, whatever. I'm sure the girls would be lucky to have you...Er...so you would like to think!"

What on earth had she said that for? Lord, Sadie had startled herself with what she'd just said. Maybe he wouldn't notice... It wasn't like she had a crush on this boy or anything. He was stubborn and cocky and didn't go to class. Maybe she just admired his care-free attitude? Who knows...

David saw the cringe when he spoke and tried to stifle a laugh as Sadie spoke. It was rather obvious that his teasing was making her more than slightly uncomfortable but that was just part of David's personality. He picked and poked until you either hated or loved him. "Sure you don't care." David finally let out a chuckle as he shook his head, more at himself than at Sadie.

As he watched her for the moment he couldn't really tell if she was going to try and counter the comments he had given her or just let them slide but when she finally did speak his eyes grew with interest and he finally let out a laugh but he quickly bit his lip and tried to keep it inside. "Oh really now?" He finally spoke after he had gotten himself together again. "It seems someone else might have thought that more than I myself." He said with the arch of one eyebrow.

But of course before he could throw anymore teasing comments at the girl she had spoken again causing David to shake his head once more. "Well I'm sure you could since I haven't been to classes and all the spells I know is what I have caught on from others." Chuckling slightly he propped himself against the arm of the chair again.
