Jasmin was surprised but she smiled back a little smile. She hadn't smiled in a while and it was wierd. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ears and crossed her arms around her stomach once again. Her head was pounding, she had a headache again which sucked. She got them a lot and it really bugged her. Out of a lot of things that bugged her having a headache bugged her the most.
Watching what he did and then offered her a cookie at first she hesitated, but then evently excepted the offer. "Sure. Thank you." Jasmine was very polite and was never mean, well thats unless you get on her bad side and if you do that she will be mean. She looked at the cookie at first not sure if she was going to eat it but then broke off a tiny piece and and ate it. The cookies tasted good.
After she ate a piece of the cookie she realized how hungry she was, but pushed that aside. She never really ate that much, but she did eat every once in a while. Her headache was starting to fade away slowly. She broke off anonther piece of the cookie and chewed it and swallowed. Her eyes were back to normal color by then.

Ollie saw the hesitation in her eyes. He wouldn't blame her if she didn't want a cookie but it would have been nice if she took it. But it is her choice, he told himself. Yes. Ollie is weird. Even thinking about whether someone would take a cookie or not is on his mind. Really weird.
Jasmin took the cookie and Ollie once again smiled. He bit into his cookie and watched as she bit into hers too. Ollie was glad that somehow, the mood of the whole incident, that one might not call an incident afterall, is gone.
Once he finished his cookies, he put back the wrapper into his pocket and looked around the compartment. The train had moved only a few minutes ago and it would be in a while before the train would probably reach the school. Only he doesn't know how long it would take.

Jasmin had finished her cookie and her headache had dissapeared. She looked out the window and sighed. She didn't want to go the school as much as she thought, but she also didn't want to stay home. Blowing the hair out of her face she kept looking out of the window. Then the thought had came into her head of what house she would be in. She couldn't decide for herself but it bugged her that she couldn't know what house she would be in.
"So what house do you want to be in?" Jasmin asked him. She didn't know what else to say but for some reason it was getting easier to talk. Uncrossing her arms and then recrossing them she looked at the boy. Looking down at her feet and then back up. Pulling on the braclet on her wrist slightly making sure it didn't break, she always needed something to keep her busy or moving so she didn't die of boredom.
Bringing her legs up to her chest once more she wrapped her arms around her legs once more hugging them to her chest. It was something that she would do all the time. It didn't mean anything, did it? Jasmin would always ask herself questions in her head but would never be able to figure them out.

The silence filled in again but somehow, it didn't feel like he is all alone in the train like it does sometimes. Jasmin is there and even if she is not talking, the feeling that he is being left alone and being left behind is not there.
As she spoke, he looked up at her and frowned. It was a frown he use for thinking. He didn't really know what house he wanted to be in. Just as long as the people there are nice to him and would not hurt him, he would okay with it. "Any house that would be nice to me." he told her and smiled.
Ollie wasn't that familiar with all the houses. He knew that there's a house with the colors silver and green? The other one black and yellow? He couldn't recall the names and the colors of the houses. He knew though the beginning letters of them. A house that starts with an S, G, M, H, and R. That was all he knew.
Blushing from embarrassment of not really knowing the houses, he said to her "I don't really know all the houses" and gave a weak smiled. "What house do you want to be in?" he asked. Sure, he is getting better at talking but that is only because he is comfortable talking to her by now. If another person were to enter, he didn't know if he could say more things, at least only to the other person.

"Thats the same with me. I don't care what house I get in." Jasmin said. Smiling slightly. "My parents want me to be in Slytherin, I don't really want to though." Her parents wanted her to be exactly like her older sister, perfect, in Slytherin, pretty, smart, and everything else her older sister was to her parents. Jasmin didn't see her older sister as any of those. Her older sister was a cruel person who was always mean and hurtful to Jasmin.
Trying to shake the thought of her older sister out of her mind, trying to think of good things. She wanted to leave everything behind her parents, her older sister, not her younger sister. She actually got along with her younger sister. Looking back up at the boy waiting for him to speak again. Still her guard was up, but she would talk freely and normally, like she would someone who was a friend.
Her younger sister was only seven and her name was October. Yes that was a strange name but it fit her sister because she was strange just like Jasmin, which of course meant her parents didn't like October that much either. Wanting to stop thinking about her parents she looked back up at Ollie trying to take her mind off her past.

Ollie smiled at Jasmin. At least that's one other thing they have in common. They both doesn't know what house they wanted to be in. Hopefully both of them gets into a house that they would be happy to be in. If he got into some house that would just be rude to him all the time, then he didn't know what he would do. The same thing for Jasmin. Hopefully she would get into a nice house.
"Don't they put you in a house based on your personality?" he asked her a moment later. Of course, how hadn't he thought of that? If the houses were based on personalities, then he hope that there wouldn't be mean people there. But the problem is, he doesn't know if he would get into a nice house. What if he gets sorted to a house that is really not for him? That was suck.
"Do you have any siblings?" Ollie asked in random thinking about what house James would be. He hope that James would get into a nice house too. But he wanted to see James around the school. They would probably see each other but he is sure that both wouldn't be in the same house.

"Ya. Each house has one main personailty trait, and then the other traits are based off that one trait." Jasmin said. She knew each house had one trait they were famous for. Like Gryffindor for bravery, Slytherin for being sly, Hufflepuff for being kind, and Ravenclaw for being smart. Miheal well that was one that she wasn't to sure of. Everyone said it got all the rest of the traits but Jasmin wasn't positive.
She actually hoped she could prove her parents wrong and not get in Slytherin. Everyone said that Slytherin's were mean and sneaky and back stabbers, well Jasmin wasn't going to judge all of them by what she heard, but still she didn't want to be in the same house her older sister and parents were in.
"Ya. I have an older sister and a younger sister." Jasmin said. She knew it sounded bad but she wished she didn't have an older sister. "What about you?" She asked. She was opening up which she was trying not to do. Holding on tighter to her legs which made her feel better.

Ollie nodded. Even if he didn't know all the houses, he was sure that he would get into some house that is based on his personality. But wouldn't that be weird to be in a house that is full of people just like you? At least the dominant traits. It wouldn't be possible, he is sure, to have someone who's exactly like you.
Oliver somehow like the idea of the housing thing. If the there were no houses based on personalities, then he would meet people and be in a house with people with different traits. Traits that are probably opposite of him. He is surely glad that the sorting is personality based.
"I have a twin and a half-brother" he said to Jasmin. Ollie wanted to asked her to talk more about her family, or at least her sisters but he didn't ask her. Maybe he could later but he knew that in talking, he would take it step by step.
Post by jasminezeddle on Nov 17, 2007 16:54:17 GMT -5
Jasmin nodded. "So i'm guessing your twin is going to this school too." Jasmin said. Her blonde hair was covering one of her eyes but she didn't make any move to move it out of her face, she just held on to herself tight looking at the ground. Talking about her past was the hardest thing for Jasmin to do. But she knew she would have to sooner or later. She rested her chin on her knees biting her lip.
Looking up at the boy trying to think of what to say next. Ya her mind was blank and she could only think of stupid questions like whats your favriote color, and well she would sound stupid saying that out loud because she had before and it didn't go to well. Looking up at the ceiling trying to think made her look wierd but she didn't care right then, she was just thinking.
Nope, nothing would come to mind so she looked back to her feet. The song that had been stuck in her head all morning had came back. It was a good song, and was very addicting. But it also got annoying if you had it stuck in your head. She wanted her Ipod so bad because she loved music, so she had to stick to playing her guitair since electronics didn't work on campus.

Ollie nodded. Of course, James would be there. Hopefully they would be in the same classes since both of them are firsties. The only problem is, if they are not in the same house, they wouldn't see each other that much. But they could always hang out some other time, even though it wouldn't consist of a lot of talking.
Oliver looked out the window and just watched as the train pass by the trees and everything else quickly. He needed something to say but what? He did not know so he just looked outside and stare. When he felt that it was getting weird just staring outside, he returned his gaze to the compartment and began to think of what to say next.
"Do you think you would like school?" he asked Jasmin. Ollie didn't know if he would like it but he might.

Jasmin thought for a moment. "More then my home, I know that." Was all Jasmin said. Maybe she was being stupid for bringing up her home, but she didn't seem to notice it. Finally her blonde hair bugging her she tucked it behind her ears keeping them away from her face. Her hair would bug her everyonce in a while but not all the time.
"What about you, do you think you will like school?" Jasmine asked him. She was kind of nervous about school and since she was thinking about it a lot of thoughts came into her head about it. Ignoring them but they still came she tried to focus which she was having problem with.
"To be completly honest, i'm sort of nervous about school." Jasmin blushed a little when she said that but not that much. It was true, going to a different school after going to her first one for so long.
Post by Oliver Mannequin on Nov 17, 2007 17:54:35 GMT -5
Oliver nodded. Is home better than school? Probably. James and Ollie's foster parents were okay but they don't really like Ollie. They like his twin and Johnny. It was probably because they think that Ollie is weird and because of the fact that his not what they really wanted him to be like. He doesn't talk much and that bothers them too.
"Home's bad isn't it?" Ollie asked Jasmin. He wonder how bad her home was. Of course he couldn't really expect her to answer him right away, or even answer him right now because they had just met and even if they are okay talking to each other, she might still have this wall around her, keeping her from letting people in.
"Me too" Ollie told her. Oliver is nervous about going to school. There would be a lot of people. He didn't really like being around too many people. He could live being in a place with few people but when a lot of them are in one room, he would want to just leave.
Post by jasminezeddle on Nov 17, 2007 18:05:41 GMT -5
Jasmin hesitated to answering, looking down at her feet. She then nodded. "Yes." She said. It was strange for her to be telling him about it after she had just met him, but she was the one that brougt it up so she had to own up to what she had said. She looked at her feet her eyes faded to gray. She tightened her grip on herself and resting her chin on her knees once more.
Once more she nodded when he said he was nervous to. It was better to know that she wasn't the only one who was nervous. She was nervous about many things, making friends, what house she was going to be in, and actually being able to open up. The last one was the hardest for her and anyone who knew her well enought knew that.
Looking towards the window and closing her eyes for a second and then opening them up again. Watching everything pass her by and the clouds. The sky was still blue but not as bright blue as it had been before.

Ollie nodded again but asked no further question. He was getting the feeling that she does not want to talk about things related at home and he wouldn't talk about it. Once she feels that she would be okay to talk about it and once she is ready to talk about it, Ollie would be there. Jasmin is probably his first friend at the school.
Ollie looked out the window then back at Jasmin, noticing that her eye color had kept changing during the whole time they were there. There were moments when her eyes looked gray and other moments when her eyes look blue. Of course Ollie wasn't sure what her regular eye color is. It could be either but it does seem that when her eyes were the color blue, Jasmin is more alive and when it starts to turn gray, it seem that she's sad.
"Hope school would be alright..." he said to her almost like a whisper. Ollie did not know what to say, like most time and he knew that maybe sometimes, all he needed was to be quiet and not say anything.
Poetically Pathetic
