Lesson II (Second and Third Years)

This was Lucas's first day of teaching here at Trio's Hogwarts and was about to make it a very memorable class. While walking down the halls looking for his classroom he smiled to himself, he got one of his usual permanent smiles that he couldn't help so he left it there on his face thinking of what a "Magical" first day it would be.

Lucas unlocked the classroom and strutted in, seeing that the room did not look like a classroom at all, but a sitting room. He turned back to see if this was the right classroom and, he wasn't mistaken this was the Transfiguration Classroom. He saw that there was no desk, nor a perch for him, so he waved his wand and a desk and a perch appeared.

He loved the humble atmosphere to the room, so informal, relaxing, and calming to say the least. He moved the couches and chairs out of the way to form a long narrow strip in the middle of the classroom, for they would need it to practice the spell he had in store for today. He saw that the chalk board was blank, so he decided on putting his name on it for good measure, after all he was a new teacher and not one student knew who he was. And after he was done writing the board said:

Lucas Kindle, Transfiguration T.A.

After writing his name on the board, he sat down in his desk and began to twirl his wand around in his fingers trying to think of somthing to make this class interesting. "Hmmm alright, I think I got it!" Lucas said with a little bounce in his voice. As soon as the idea came in his head he had burst into action. He then transformed into his Animagus, a Raven and perched himself on the perch he had conjured up for himself. And now to wait for the first students to arrive...

Having missed most of her first Transfiguration lesson Josie decided to make a point of getting to her second early. She made a brief stop in the great hall to grab a bite to eat. Muffin . . . yum. The Christmas Decorations were starting to be erected all over the school and it was really putting Josie in a Seasonal Mood. One of her favourite Carols was stuck in her head as she made her way to the classroom.

She hummed the last few bars as she walked in and noticed she was the only one there. Well it made a change from being the last one in she supposed. Throwing her bag on one of the chairs she sat and waited for the others to arrive. Wondering what exciting things they would be doing today.

Nessa wanted to be early. She had had a bite to eat and was ready for her classes today. She heard from home that her siblings got muggle school off because of the cold. She guessed that was a disadvantage from having the classrooms in the same building as where you stayed. She sighed. But Nessa knew one thing was for sure, classes here were much funner than classes in the muggle world.

As she made it to the classroom, she did not see any professor. She looked around and sighed as she took a seat by a girl named Josie, she knew this because they were in many classes together. She smiled to her. "Your Josie, right?" Nessa asked trying to get to know the girl. "Im Nessa!" Nessa said cheerfully. She then saw a raven on a perch. She smiled. She thought that might be the professor, in his animagus that is.

Josie looked up as she heard her name. She hadn't even noticed someone else had come in to the classroom she was so busy rooting through her bag. She grinned to Nessa. She'd seen her in loads of classes, and she knew she was Ashley's best friend. She always thought she seemed nice but for some reason had never spoken to her.

"Hey Nessa." She said cheerfully, "Yea I'm Josie." She said with a grin, she noticed Nessa looking at something and followed her gaze with her own. There was a Raven in their classroom! How had she missed that?

Turning back to Nessa she smiled, "What do you think we'll be doing today?" She asked conversationally. It would be nice to get to know someone new.

[Ashley Tapping]

Ashley walked into the Transfigureation classroom. She saw two of her friends Josie and Nessa. A small smie spread across her face. Ash walked over to them and sat in a chair Josie. "Hey guys." she said cheerfully. Ash glanced around the room and noticed a beautiful raven. Having no idea what it was doing in here Ash just ignored it and waited for more students to show up.

Lucian started to look at the students that came in, only three so far. After all it was pretty early, he was just anxious for class to start. The minutes would go by slower and slower the more the became excited, so he decided to by some time by saying hello to the early students.

Lucas flew off of his perch and in mid air transformed back into his human form, landing on the floor with a slight "tap" of his shoes. "Hello ladies, I am so glad to see that you are early for my first class so as reward...hmm lets see...5 points for each of the Hufflepuffs," which he new they were because of the insignia on their robes. "And 5 points for the Gryffindor." Lucas said while rubbing his scruffy 5'O'Clock shadow. "I believe, because you three are early you should be able to relax, which isn't hard in this class room." looking at all the comfy chairs and couches. He waved his wand and a bar of chocolate appeared in front of each of the three students. "Feel free to eat these in class, I do not care whether you eat in here or not, just as long as its sweets and not a meal. Which also means you are allowed to bring drinks in here as well, just as long as it doesn't interfere with your learning." Lucas said with a smile as he walked back over to his desk to sit on it and stretch casually.

[Ashley Tapping]

The raven flew off of its perch and then transformed into a human! This totally took Ash offguard. She sat back in her chair a little bit but then got relaxed when he gave them each five housepoints. Ashley looked over to Nessa and smiled. It seemed like they were the only ones so far in this class for taday and totally for Herboledgy. A chocolate bar appeared in front of each of them. Ashley looked at Josie and shrugged she started unrapping it to eat it. So far this seemed like a fun lesson!

Aaliyah entered the classroom to see a raven swoop in front of her. If that was not weird enough she saw that raven suddenly transform into a human. And finally, to be the weirdest, Liyah had never seen that man before in her life. She slowly walked into the classroom which was full of only second years at the moment and took a seat on one of the couches. She liked how comfortable this classroom was.

Then she realized that the man had conjured up three chocolate bars. He must have not noticed her yet because she did not get one. But that was no big deal. Lord knows Aaliyah did not need the extra sugar.

Then it hit her. This man was the new Transfiguration TA. And he seemed like the typical new TA. Liyah remembered Dennis Gregory being awesome and always giving them treats and fun stuff. But just before he left, he seemed to get a little frustrated because he did not have full control over his class. She hoped that this new TA would not fall into the same trap.

Gyminee had came to all her classes a lot and more lessons started and ended. As for Transfigurations, Gyminee does not remember the last time she was having a lesson about Transfiguration. It had been a while so Gyminee was excited for know that a lesson was about to start. Gyminee did not want to at all have a bit of disadvantage in transfiguration because there are no lessons.

When Gyminee entered the Transfigurations classroom, only a couple of students were there. Also, in that classroom, a TA whom Gyminee never met was sitting in his chair. Gyminee did not bother to greet him, so she just sat to the nearest couch. She would have sat in some kind of desk, but the couch seemed so comfy. And since there were others sitting on the couch, and even some eating while sitting in the couch, Gyminee assumed it was okay.

Sev came into the classroom to find that the class was completely full of girls. He smirked at the thought of being surrounded by all these attrative women. But where was the professor? And who was this man standing here. Sev scratched his head as he made his way over to where Nessa, Ashley, and Josie were sitting. "Hello girls," he said as he sat by them. He noticed two other girls but knew they were not in his year. He smiled at them to give acknowledgement.

Lucas saw a few more students come into the class, he heard one Ravenclaw boy greet the ladies in the classroom, at this he smirked and greeted everyone. "Hello everyone, this isnt as many people as I would have expected but, it is still a bit early so I will award each of the new students that just arrived 3 points! So while you wait I will conjure up some snacks for the new ones, because the first three that got here already had theirs." He said looking at the three girls that arrived here before the others with a smile.

The then waved his wand and conjured up three more chocolate bars infront of each of the students. He then looked at all the students with chocolate and saw that none of them had anything to wash it down with. "Forgive me everyone, how rude I was to not offer you drinks!" he then waved his wand a second time and conjured up a bottle of butterbeer infront of each of the students. "Well, I think that must be a bit better, dont you think?" Lucas asked the class with a wide smile.

Yup. He was definitely one of those professors who was trying to bribe their way into the students' hearts, Aaliyah concluded. But she could not say no to chocolate and butterbeer. So she happily began nibbling on a corner of the chocolate and sipping her butterbeer. She wondered what his teaching styles and if it was going to work. But for now, she was just going to be nice and see what he did.

"Oh, I'm Aaliyah McKenzie," she said quickly, getting to shake the TA's hand. She did not want to be rude and not introduce herself.

It was finally time for another transfiguration lesson. This was one of Kera's favorite subjects so she entered into the classroom with a small smile on her face. The first thing she noticed when she entered into the room was that there was a man she hadn't seen before in the room. Maybe he was the new T.A for the class.

Kera quickly sat down in an open seat and took a look up at the board. Her question was immediately answered. The man in front of the room was the new transfiguration T.A. She set her bag down next to her leg and looked around the room. In truth she a little happy to see that the room still looked more like a lounge than a classroom. It was always nice to sit through class in a comfortable setting. Hopefully the lesson would be a fun one. If not then she may end up not liking transfiguration anymore.

[Apollo Harrab]

-Apollo was running a bit late for his classes today.He got caught up talking with Tanus, as normal. and lost track of time.Now, when he saw the clock, he knew he didn't have much time.Apollo ran down the hallways, to his second class.Transfiguration.And he hoped he could still make it, for part of the lesson.Once he finally reached the classroom and walked in.Apollo took a open seat near the door.Seeing that the lesson had already started.Apollo started taking notes on the lesson.-

Josie grinned as Ashley took a seat, she was beginning to feel like she was making some real friends now and the thought, caused a smile she just couldn't seem to get rid of. Brushing her hair behind her ear she jumped slightly as the Professor came in to view. He had been the RAVEN!! Josie had heard about wizards with the Animagus ability and read alot about them but she had never met someone who could actually do it. She was impressed.

She smiled as House points were awarded, Hufflepuff winners of the House Cup here we come, she smirked at her inner thoughts and was pleasantly surprised when they were awarded with chocolate, she shot Ashely and Nessa a questioning look and shrugging her shoulders took a bite from the corner. Who could say no to chocolate really. This lesson was off to a good start and they hadn't really started if they were honest.

Other students were beginning to arrive now making Josie anxious for the lesson to begin, she was really itching to get started now. She threw Sev a warm smile as he made his way over to them. "Hey Sev," She replied cheerfully.

Looking to wards the Professor she smiled wondering what his teaching style was like. Would he be another book hater or a note worshiper, she guessed they were soon to find out.

Lucas got up to great the girl that came up to shake his hand. "Hello, Aaliyah very very nice to meet you." he said while giving her a nice firm hand shake and a welcoming smile. "Anytime you want to chat or want someone to hang out with just come to my office and we can go fly around or something." he added while giving her a pat on the back and then directed himself back to the class.

"Welcome everyone to Transfiguration, the professor that was covering for me told me that you have been experimenting with transfigurating everyday objects into animals. This is one of my favorite types of transfiguration and will be glad to show you some more of this type." He said while sitting on top of his desk in a casual matter, spinning his wand with his fingers.

Lucas waved his wand and goblets appeared in front of every single student and one for himself. "We will be turning these goblets into kittens today, which I think most of you will enjoy, for most of the time these kittens turn out pretty cute when done right." He got up and turned to the goblet that was on his desk, he pointed his wand at it so everyone in the classroom could see and did a sideways swish and loudly and clearly said "Felenius!" and with a tiny puff of smoke the goblet had turned into a cute, mewing, golden tabby kitten.

He held up the kitten so that everyone could so him and gave him to Aaliyah. "Now this is a complete transfiguration, and as I can see a perfect one at that. Oh and by the way Ashley you can keep the kitten, if you want everyone in here will be able to keep their kitten after it is fully transfigured." Lucas assured the class with a wide smile on his face. "When you think you have transfigured them perfectly bring them up to me so I can see, and if you dint have the transfiguration quite right I will turn the mutant or damaged kitten back to a goblet for you to try again. The wand movement is a smooth sideways swish like this" Lucas then demonstrated by doing the swish. "The incantation is quite simple, it sounds like 'Feline' so the incantation should be quite easy since its just 'Felenius'. So...any questions.?" Lucas asked the class while he sat back down on his desk twirling his wand in between his fingers.

Wow. There are many people in the class already when Bella made her entrance. Surprisingly, it didn't seem that the class was in a deep conversation about something so that is good. If not, then that's a bad thing. Bella wouldn't want to miss so much of class.

This is something that Bella hadn't thought about, until now. Do they have a new TA now? The last time she went to class she is sure that they had a different teacher. Hmm...Isabella looked around the classroom. Um, what are they doing again?

A deformed kitten sounded a little creepy. Aaliyah hoped that she would get it right on the first try. She looked at the goblet in front of her and tapped it, saying "Felenius." But nothing happened. The goblet remained a goblet. Liyah moved it close to her ear. She could swear she heard it purring. She tapped it again, saying "Felenius" with a little more strength in her voice. She desparately wanted a kitten to take for herself.

This time th goblet changed slightly. It grew a cat's tail. Aaliyah sighed. She was not getting anywhere close and she did not want to be the only one left without a kitten. She groaned in frustration and looked around at everyone else, wondering if they were able to successfully complete the transfiguration.

[Ashaunta Williams]

*Ashaunta was running a little late, to her classes today.Upon just coming back to the school.And making sure she, signed up for all the classes she needed to take.Now she was on her way to the, second class on her schdule.Transfiguration.A subject that she liked, but did so so in though.But still, Ashaunta ran to try to make it to class.When she got there and walked in.She saw the lesson had already started.Ashaunta saw a seat, next to Apollo open.She walked over and sat down next to him.But after being seated, she started to take notes.*

Josie smiled at the prospect of having her own kitten, home made kitten, oh ho the thought made her giggle a little. Looking at the goblet she bit her lip as she began to concentrate. She wanted to get this right, a deformed kitten was quite a traumatizing thought and one she would rather not witness. Chewing on her lip she brought her wand up and tapped it lightly against her face.

"Felenius . . . Felenius . . . Felenius . . . Felenius" She whispered quietly over and over again to herself. She wanted to get this right.

When she was confident she had the words down she tried to mimic the wand movement, did it matter which side you swished it to? Her eyes widened at the prospect, she was right handed so she'd go with that and hope for the best.
Narrowing her eyes at the goblet in front of her she cleared her throat and swished her wand as she believed she should saying clearly, "Felenius."

A rather large puff off smoke wound its way around her and her goblet that should be a kitten by now. Coughing and waving her hand to disperse it she looked down and found she still had a goblet. She sighed a little disappointment she was sure she had it right, picking it up to inspect it she noticed it was now sporting black stripes and was tinged Grey. A start she supposed before she readied herself to try again.
