Sixth and Seventh Years, Class one.

[Professor Carina Erikson]

Walking into class, Carina sighed lightly and set her bag down on her desk. The term break had been wonderful, but entirely too short. Still feeling a bit casual, Carina wore her robes loose allowing a simple pair of jeans and a green t-shirt to be seen. The green streaks in her hair had been unconcealed. She had always felt more like one of the students than she had a professor, being only eighteen, so she had felt like there was no sense in hiding things like that.

Running a hand through the streaked hair, Carina pulled her wand from her robes and tapped it against the board. They would be doing a nice simple potion for the first class. No sense in trying to overload the poor kids brains right off. The seventh years would most likely remember this potion, but it was new for the sixth years.

Sitting down at her desk, Carina propped her feet up on the desk, feeling much more relaxed than her first teaching term and waited for the students to arrive.

[Logan Renly]

"Hello Carina, fancy seeing you here." Logan smiled on entering the Potions classroom. He hadn't anticipated finding a family member to be his Professor. Second cousin, fellow Slytherin. Logan should have graduated with her. How odd to find yet another piece of the past. "Guess I should say, Professor Erikson." He corrected himself still smiling.

Taking a seat in the middle row Logan kept his blue eyes on Carina. "How have you been?"

It's been awkward to be taught by your friend and former Quidditch Captain, but Nathaniel really didn't have anything against it all. He found it rather good on his part to have known Carina and along with Alexander; however, he's a TA for DADA and only for the younger years of the school. But eventually Nathaniel will have to stop by the TA's office to visit.

He entered inside the stale smelling potion's classroom, smiling to Carina with a small wave, and took a seat toward the middle of class. He slipped off his bag toward the side and took a seat. Looking forward at the board, he sees the potion they would be brewing today. He always liked a hands-on class, and potions was one of his favorites along with Herbology.

Potions. Yippee. Or something like that. He entered the room, yawning a bit. He was in desperate need of caffeine. Maybe he should get some coffee in the kitchens after this class. Though maybe he'd wake up by falling asleep above his cauldron causing the hot steamy potion to burn his face. A wonderful way to wake up. Maybe they should introduce alarm clocks working like that. Or not.

What would todays potion be? Amortentia.. what was it and what did it do? Levi read the ingredients but his potions skills weren't good enough to figure out the potion's function by only reading the ingredients. Grabbing his potion's book he started flipping pages, looking for the potion. As long as he had something to do Levi wouldn't fall asleep.

[Avery Moretti]

Avery walked into the Potions classroom, humming a bit to herself. She was in quite a good mood, after all. Inside, she looked at each and every person. There was Professor Erikson; she smiled at her and gave her a wave. Then there was some cute older looking Slytherin boy who she'd never seen before. Then there was Nathaniel, who she got in a bit of a tiff with over the Daily Prophet, but the past was behind them [she thought]. And lastly, Levi, who seemed to be getting ahead on the work by looking through his textbook.

Grabbing the seat next to Levi, Avery grinned and said, "Hullo, Levi! How are you today?" Bright blue eyes looked up to the board where the spell and ingredients were listed. Wasn't familiar to her at all, so she just waited for the lesson to start. Hopefully Jackson and Holden would arrive soon. She didn't want any of them to fail!

Roxy Hart opened the door to the Potions room. For once,she wasn't late. She actually had time to walk down the hall. Roxy noticed a few students that she didn't recognize in the room,and a few she did. She made her way to the side of the front row,murmuring 'good morning' to the professor and taking her seat.

Potions.

The classroom looked the same. Same teacher. Same room. Some of the same students. Roxy sighed and peered up at the board.Same potions? Roxy sighed and pulled a roll of parchment and a black-ink quill out of her bag. She re-read the potion and copied it down neatly onto the paper:

Roxy leaned back in her chair and waited for the class to really begin.

To say she was shocked was an understatement. Watching Logan walk into the classroom and greet her, left her standing there, slightly in shock. "Uh, hey Logan. Gah, I haven't seen you in forever. I thought you had dropped off the face of the planet." Carina said with a chuckle. "I've been alright. How have you been?"

As the other students entered the classroom, Carina took a place leaning against her desk. Smiling at the turn out, she cleared her throat to begin. "Hello class and welcome to another term of potions. Today's potion is Amortentia. Now, who can tell me about it?"

[Jasmine Taylor]

Jas yawned has she entered the potions classroom. She was still a bit tired but determined to make it through all her classes without falling asleep. Taking a seat in the middle she got out her things looking briefly around the room for a minute has the professor started the lesson. Reaching in her bag she grabbed the cookie she had wrapped in a napkin. Breaking off a piece she nibbled on it has she tried to think of the potion that the teacher had just brought up. So far, she came up with nothing.

Selena had just entered the potions classroom when she had noticed the handiwork on the board. Noticing she had just arrived in the classroom a tad bit tardy, the loner quickly sat down in her emo corner and wrote down the title of the potion and it's ingredients into a black and purple swirly notebook.

The Ravenclaw unfortunately didn't catch the question the professor asked so she would have to wait for someone else to answer it.[/color]

[Avery Moretti]

Avery was sitting in class. Gosh, Levi wasn't very talkative today. Apparently, no one else was either. No one was even answering the poor Professor's darn question. Feeling a bit annoyed, she opened her textbook and looked through the index. Finding the name of the Potion, she flipped to that page and read about the potion. Raising her hand, Avery then said, "Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in the world, apparently. Which makes sense, I guess, because amore is French for love."

Nodding her head, she looked at the Professor, then back down to the book, continuing to read about the Potion.

[Holden J. Caulfield]

Holden walked into the Potions room a bit late. More than a bit more like a lot. He hoped they hadn't gotten too far ahead of him since it was his favorite class. Holden took a seat by Avery and kissed her cheek.

"Hey, what are we doing?"
