Walking into the Muggle Studies classroom, Harmony was not in her usual attire. No sire, she was in full out mid evil costume. Strange? Not for this professor. She fashioned a rather long dress with a very 17th century feel to it. Her hair was tied back, a few strands hanging down that where curled. What, on earth you may be thinking, was Harmony up too? Well, today she was teaching the intermediate class about a muggle who has influenced people so much that he is still raved about today - Shakespeare.
Always loving to play up the scene, Harmony put on the Record player of old English music, she sitting on top of her desk, legs crossed and waiting for students to arrive. She had the room looking something like an old English theater, hoping the students might find it looking somewhat realistic. Looking to the door, Harmony waited for her students to arrive.

A few days had passed by since Gyminee's last Muggle Studies class. They were talking about these two guys names Cicero and Catiline, or maybe that's they're last name? A few things were covered from that class period. Also, according from last class, the number of people in Gyminee's Muggle Studies class wasn't what you would say as a "large population". Oh no you won't. There was only two students in the classroom, although she wants to have more people. So she would have more people to meet, and so there wouldn't be an awkward silence. Gyminee entered the Muggle Studies classroom, and saw her teacher. She had a few curled hair and a long dress. From looking at the schedule that seemed like long ago since Gyminee had taken a look at, they were learning about Shakespeare. Gyminee wouldn't say that she is a Shakespeare genius, but her knowledge about Shakespeare or his plays weren't shallow. Gyminee took a seat, to the one closest to the front, though it wouldn't matter compared to the number of students there are in class.

Woo! Second Muggle Studies class of the year. He was looking forward to the lesson! Last lesson was pretty fun, even though there were only two people, including him. He walked into the classroom, which looked oddly mideveal. The Professor was also wearing a very, Renessiance-y dress. He nodded a small hello and sat down next to the only other student in the class. "Woo! Lets get started! This lesson seems like it'll be fun!" he said enthusiastically.

[[ Sorry for the Delay ]]
Noting that the normal two students that attended her intermediate class was there, Harmony cleared her throat and looked to the both of them. Alright. Remember what you learned on Shakespeare int he muggle world..talk like him she told herself in thought before adressing the two students. "Art thou ready to learn?" she asked them, biting back a small giggle. This was going to be most interesting and entertaining. "And, five points to each of thee houses for being on time" she nodded, before walking in front of the class, pulling up her rather old dress as she went.
"First question : Any Idea why I am dress like so?"

"First question : Any Idea why I am dress like so?" The Professor asked as she went around the classroom.
Gyminee thought, while looking at the rather long dress that the teacher was wearing. She examined it, having a bit of thought, which was either true or completely false, but she decided to say what she was thinking of. "I believe that the reasoning for this outfit is the...erm...i cannot talk Shakespeare very well...that doesn't really sound like it..." Gyminee said, feeling a bit embarrassed. She wished she could talk like she's from the "Shakespeare Period" and seem like its a role play. "Anyways, erm...would the dress, be from the Elizabethan Period/Time which might has to do with the time period where Shakespeare plays were mainly performed.

Harmony grinned. "Tis fine, no need to speak like Thee" she assured the young Hufflepuff, making her way around the room, careful not to fall straight onto her face. Harmony + heels never really worked very well. Once in a spot she found suitable she turned back to her one of two students. "Shakespeare! correct My dear" she told her, awarding five points to the house. "Very nice answer. This class we are looking at an author whose plays are still read and performed everywhere around the world. But why?" Harmony started, giving them a pondering thought.
"Can either of you tell me a famous Shakespeare play?"

“Tis fine, no need to speak like Thee” Professor Lupin said. Gyminee was sure glad she didn’t have to. Well, it would have been good if she knew how to speak at least a bit, but after “thee” and “thy”, Gyminee’s ability to talk all Shakespeare like is history. "Very nice answer. This class we are looking at an author whose plays are still read and performed everywhere around the world. But why?" Harmony started, giving them a pondering thought. Gyminee thought hard for her answer, thinking of ones that are obvious and had been discussed before somewhere in the world. “Well Professor, from what I know or heard, it would probably be because of the language of Shakespeare and the meanings of the plays.” Gyminee responded. "Can either of you tell me a famous Shakespeare play?" Gyminee thought yet again. She might not know very well about Shakespeare, but she knows that she had heard of at least a couple. Plays such as As You Like It, Romeo And Juliet, Hamlet, Comedy Of Errors, and so on. But there is one play, that Gyminee not only have heard of, but actually knows what the play is about. “Well, an example of one famous Shakespeare play is the comedie A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Harmony grinned. This young Hufflepuff seemed to have all the answers. She nodded to her. "That is partially correct My dear" she assured her with a small nod, before continuing to answer her own question. "Shakespeare is so influential in the muggle world because his plays where inspirations. They where masterpieces. Shakespeare was a genius in his time, and all his works are classics" She told the two, walking carefully over to the board, and writing down Shakespeare, underlining it, and putting a bullet of influential underneath it.
"For the most Part, Shakespeare wrote Love Stories. They all seemed to either focused on the tragedy that love can bring, or the evil and wicked behavior of an individual. /his plays always stuck to the deeper shades of human emotion, making people want to read his plays more and more" Harmony explained.
"Ah! A Mid summer's night dream. An excellent play in my opinion" Harmony told her students. "Again, mischief and love stricken characters, excellent. How abut some others humm?"

"Well there are also...Hamlet, Romeo And Juliet, Comedy of Errors, As You Like it and many others. But most of these I listen are ones I do not know so much about but have surely heard of them" Gyminee answered.

"Very good" Harmony told the Hufflepuff. Continuing on to walk around the classroom carefully like she always did, Harmony proceeded to talk to them about Shakespeare. "Now, Shakespeare, as all know, wrote more romance then anything else. He had very little comedies, and a lot of tragedy and woe. His plays always seemed to shake the masses when they where performed. But here is my question - can someone like that really exist?" she asked the two students before pushing a stray piece of blond hair form her eyes. "A lot of muggles think that Shakespeare didn't exist...what are your thoughts?" she asked them.

"A lot of muggles think that Shakespeare didn't exist...what are your thoughts?" she asked them.
Gyminee had noticed that the whole time she was the one answering. She wanted to give the other one a moment to shine but not a single word came out of his mouth. Gyminee did not know a lot, but this question is an opinion. It did not require any kind of strong intelligence in Shakespeare but more of an imagination and well basically, an opinion. To break the silence yet again, which happened in a lot of her classes lately, she raised her hand. "Well my opinion is that Shakespeare really did exist since he did had plays and people did enjoy them. I guess their opinions are more of considering the question if there is such a writer/actor who relates to people so much and who can also be so extraordinary in the whole Literature and Performance section of life. I guess it was so...erm...unbelievable that it was hard to believe. And for the certain time period where Shakespeare plays were mainly performed and when he wrote them was so long ago, it's hard to believe and hard to focus on the past and the things that happened during the past."

Most of the time, Gyminee was the one to say her answers before Brayden was even able to raise his hand, but he listened intently to everything her and the Professor has to say. Brayden finally spoke up, and answered the last question the Professor had asked. "I agree with Gyminee. I also think that the Muggles doubt he ever lived because it was so long ago, and muggles don't have the tools and such that maybe us wizards do, to get the evidence that he once lived." he said.

Harmony clapped her hands together dramatically. "Uh! your answers bring tears to my eyes. I love my intermediate class" Harmony pause,d and looked around. "Erm...my two students" She said with a cheeky grin. "Correct, both of you. Muggles tend to believe that he was too good a write to have ever really been around..and th way of his writings, and how long ago the writings actually where.." she began, walking around. "Some also believe it was women who wrote the plays, and put her name as a man. What do you think on that?"
Post by filmodirectii on Dec 14, 2007 20:07:21 GMT -5
Right after Gyminee answered the question the only other student in the classroom also gave his opinion. It was pretty much like hers but that doesn't matter to her. People have same thoughts and opinions at certain times. With these two opinions being stated, Gyminee was told that they were both completely correct. After this the Professor had said that others had believed that Shakespeare was a woman other than a man. Gyminee thought about this very hard and waited for the other to answer. Gyminee was waiting for a while but a complete silence filled the room. Gyminee does not approve, well more of she doesn't prefer to have a quiet room. It fills a thought of awkwardness in a bad way. So Gyminee raised her hand and answered. "Well I know that before woman could not perform in theater and all those things. And they either did not preform at all or pretended they were mens. Probably this theory came from this fact. But just wondering...since woman cannot perform...can they not write, as in published plays and such so? Because if they can't then that could also be a reason. But since woman knew how to act as if they were another person might also made people believe that maybe they were able to act as another in writing form and they're knowledge in theater since they themselves have to pretend and act."
