To Busy To Talk To A Brother? (Mr. Singer)

Bryce was wrong when it came to the fight that he had with his brother James before the term had changed. Bryce went to Scotland and really thought about it. He figured that he was wrong and that he had to go and tell his brother that he was sorry for what he had done.

Yeah he was still upset with his twin but he shouldn't have taken it out on his brother. He should tell him thanks for keeping contact with her. Bryce walked into the Library. He looked around and saw that no one was really in the room. He walked up to the front desk to see if James was there he wasn't.

He turned around "James you here?" he said out loud. He started to go down the rows looking for his brother to tell him that he was sorry for what he had done. While Bryce was away he had gotten a chance to talk to his big brother Derek about it and Derek strongly feel that he should go back to James and tell him that he was sorry.

So now Bryce was in the Library looking for his brother James Singer. He looked around until a book caught him off guard he grabbed it and opened it up and started to read it. A few hours went by and Bryce totally forgot what he was doing in the Library in the first place. It just hit him just then. He was looking for his brother. He put the book back and started to look for him again.

He turned around a corner and saw his brother. He walked over to him "Hey James do you think we can talk?" he asked him. He had hope that James would Bryce some family time so they could sit down and talk or if James wanted to stand and talk. Bryce really didn't care.

A long day had passed him nearly, but still people came into the Libary. It felt quite wonderful to see students sitting peacefully reading class books or others. On one or two occasions however, he had had to tell two noisy girls to cut out the gossiping and be quiet. Unfortunatley they hadn't taken to that too kindly, and had left the Libary calling rude names after James. Being the mature man he was though, the insults had bounced of him causing him to laugh rather than become annoyed at them. This certain young man had changed alot from his own schooldays - if that had happened six months ago, James would have likely called the same, or worse names after them. Or would've asked them out - good old James. Used to be a 'playa', funny how he was getting married now.

The one person he least expected to see here today though was a certain Littrell. Bryce. The name caused him to roll his eyes at his brothers past behaviour towards him. It had been rude and unecessary. James sighed. He had heard him earlier calling for him, but James had been busy with something else to come to him. Bryce had gone, or so he believed [he had actually still been in the Libary] But hours later the boy reappeared, this time finding Master Singer to talk too. At this time he had been about to find himself a book to read behind his Libary counter. Littrell had disturbed him in this quest, wanting to talk to him about something or other.

"Can I help you with something?"

His voice sounded fake, but he had to say it. James said it to anybody that was in the Libary - after all he was the Libarian, and his job was to help them. Let's just help he doesn't want another argument. But if he does, I can easily kick him out, his mind's voice spoke, James letting a small smile proceed against his lips. He crossed his arms, staring to the Hufflepuff boy awaiting his answer.

Brcye looked at James "James I came to tell you that I'm sorry for what I have done. I was being a butt and I was really upset with Ashley not you. I hope you can forgive me" he told him. He looked around for a few minutes and then back to him again. "Well I guess I'll let you get back to your work" he told him. He turned around and started to head out of the Library.

Even though the apology had come James couldn't help but reject it. Bryce had still said those things and nothing could take them back. "It sounded like you were upset at me," he said sternly, narrowing his eyes at the boy. He turned from the boy, what was to be said now? James didn't want to be the bad brother, but he had to stand up for himself. If he let this go, what about the next time something happened? Hmm. James wasn't going to be weak, but yet how could he let the family he had fall apart again. Like it had done with Ashley.

A sigh proceeded as Bryce walked from the spot letting him get back to what he was doing. "Wait .." he said softly, the same thing he had said in Hogsmeade that lone day where he had met Mandy Littrell, his sister. There were too many siblings of the Littrell family which scared him ever so slightly. Nevertheless, he found it also quite sweet seeing as some of them came to Hogwarts where James could look out for them. Such a kind big brother, but maybe not. To be honest he was terrible. James couldn't blame Bryce for what was said, as he had also fought back against the Hufflepuff boy.

"You don't have to go."

"It sounded like you were upset at me,"

Bryce looked at him "No I wasn't upset with you. I was more upset with Ashley and I took it out on you. I'm really sorry James" he told him. Bryce looked around for a few minutes and then looked back to him brother. "I really do hope that you could forgive me James" he then told him.

"Wait ..""You don't have to go."

Bryce stoped and turned back around "Are you sure. It looks to me like your busy" he told him. Bryce looked around and saw that students were coming in the Library. He looked back at James and gave him a smile. He then started to bit his lower lip and hoped that James would forgive him of what he had done.

James shook his head. It wasn't fair to fall for his lies again and again. But was this being mature? Keeping an argument going on and on with a brother. A brother that might actually look up to him, and care for him. A brother whom missed his twin sister, and just wanted answers. How could he remain angry? For Bryce Littrell was correct when he said 'i wasn't angry at you', because he hadn't been. It had always been Ashley, never James. But the man had been too stupid/foolish to even work this out. A sigh. He couldn't let him go.

"I'm sure," Libarian Singer answered, stepping forward to place hands on his shoulders. "I was an jerk, yes. An idiot, and whatnot - so I apologise."

Noticing a group of students arrive in the Libary, James removed his hands from Bryce's shoulders. "Can I help you with anything?" They shook their heads, walking in a group to one table where they read books of their choice. James smiled, glad that they could get on with their own thing whilist he tried to make amends with his brother. "We can talk for a bit, now. But I will arrange sometime for us to fully talk, as it is only fair on the both of us." James led him to a table, pulling a seat out for him and awaiting Bryce to accept. It was obvious they needed to speak. Sooner rather than later.
