Aaryn Kain Saeumi was determined to meet new people. She was getting a little bored of moping in the Slytherin Common Room all day. She was going out and about. She was going to go exploring again! Although she had explored every inch of the goddarn place, she was going to do it again. You never know what might happen the second time around. Maybe she'd strike gold. Or perhaps just make a new BFF, since her current one, Gia, was away. She'd gotten letters from Gia, she knew she was okay, but still, she needed to make a new friend. So here was a [non-moping] Aaryn, going out on a walk.
She was walking very slowly, even slower than usual, which was quite slow. Why? Because she could, she wasn't in a rush to go anywhere. So she would just walk. Walk, walk, walk. She was hoping to meet someone new, or bump into someone she hadn't talked to for a while. That would be nice. And that way no one would be able to say, 'oh look at that Aaryn girl, the only person she ever hangs out with is her boyfriend, Pierce James, and that other kid she wishes was her boyfriend, Denzi, wait, no Dezi.'
When Aaryn first came to this school, she hadn't really wanted any friends. Now? Now she wanted friends. Now that the only person she was hanging out with was Pierce. She liked Pierce a lot, don't get me wrong, but you had to hang out with other people.Like Dezi. Aaryn stopped to stare at a painting. It was an interesting thing, with a fancy looking lady, trying to tame a fierce looking cheetah. She wasn't very successful.
"Oh my," she said quietly, "hello dearie."
Aaryn ignored her and walked on. She was in a closed off hallway, but leaves still managed to find their way in there. She kicked a few of them and they floated in the air a little, before falling to the ground. A cold breeze flew through the corridor and made Aaryn shiver slightly. She suddenly felt her black thermal shirt [with thumb holes, I might add] and orange crush t-shirt over top wasn't enough for this cold autumn day. The grey, ripped jeans didn't provide much warmth either. She sighed slightly. What would keep her warm? She wasn't sure.
Sighing a little she turned the corner. There wasn't a student in sight. -.- So much for making friends. She played with her hair a little as she walked. Suddenly, out of no where, she found herself falling face first onto the ground. She looked at where her foot had been. There was a small pebble. Wow. Aaryn was feeling rather klutzy today, she had tripped over a pebble.
A mere pebble.
