Illy slowly walked down the steps from the Mihael common room, her brown eyes watching as she took each step. Her long raven colored hair was pulled back in a high pony-tail, that was tossed over her shoulders, her black robes lay across her shoulders with the Mihael crest, open on her right shoulder. Illy wore the true white button up blouse and pink and black tie of her house. Her hands were behind her back as she walked. She was to much in her thoughts. Deep in thought about how she was going to take this term. Frowned thoughts hit her mind as she pushed them aside like she normaly did. She wouldn't think of that now.. Never.. She hated thinking about the bad. When she was so 'happy' herself. But that's just herself being in denile.

Brent slowly woke up from his bed in the Mihael boy's dorm. Slowly rising from his warm, comfy bed, Brent slowly clambered into his clothing. Spiking his hair in it's normal fashion, anyway, it wanted to go. His brown eyes lingered threw the room, to find his wand and robes, and sliped his wand in his pocket, and then his robes, well he placed the black material, onto his arms, and across his shoulders. Feeling that he was ready to do something.. Thinking he realized he had nothing. Sighing he walked out of the common room without another glance back.
Wandering the halls, muttering a word to some of his friends, as they passed. The one thing about break, was everyone was so eager to see everyone else. Brent well he didn't care either way, sure he had friends, but he never really bothered to much, with having to search the entire school just for a friend or two. Which is what Brent had, two friends. Symantha Grey was his absolute best friend, because the two got along so well.. Brent was even taking Sym to the dance.
Turning another corner, he found his cousin, Illusion walking sadly down the halls. Brent frowned, he felt bad for his cousin. She was constantly thinking of others, never herself. And her close friends, Jacob and Samantha, weren't helping any. Slowly walking up to her he asked. "What's up Illy Lu?" Asked Brent, he smirked, he loved that nickname it just rolled off the tounge. Which ever one of Illusions friends came up with that one, was a genius.
"What's up with you?" he asked her. He knew as much that she would avoid the question, because she didn't want to place anything on anyone else, she wouldn't let anyone inside. "Illusion. You know I'm your cousin, you can tell me anything. I know that your friends, are a bunch of hard-heads. And you need to talk to someone about it. So speak up. Because I'll be there, and help you, take some weight off your shoulders. Besides it would help if you talk about it." Brent told Illy with a look into her eyes. "Please." Brent pleaded.

"Brent... I can't place my problems on you..." she told him, with a pleading look in her eyes, hoping that he would drop it. "I am not placing my problems on you, who don't deserve it.. Because when I do let it out. My friends turn on me.. As does my family.... And I need one less person, hating me..." Illusion told him, with tears welding up. "Brent.. I'm sorry.. I don't want the one person who might kindda understand me. To turn. It's hardly fair. You'll get tired of hearing my sorry sad story.. So why even bother." she said, wiping them away on her robes.
So much had happened to her. Her mother and father divorced, her boyfriend always seemed to, disapear off the planet, and show up and act like nothing happened. They hardly ever got to speak anymore. And the only person who understood her, had left her. Left Illusion to go to a better job in Australia. Brie, she understood, but she now had her own problems with herself and Bryce, and Illusion avoided the subject, and talked to Brie, to help her. Illy was just pathetic. Why bring Brent into Illy's story.

Brent frowned. She felt this way, because she saw no other way out of it. Since she belived that no one wanted to hear about it. Illusion had no one else to turn, she was alone, or what she belived to be alone. Brent sighed. He wasn't going to let Illusion hold it in any longer. Even if she had to shed a few thousand tears, Brent was willing to handle the crying to let his cousin feel like someone was there.
"Illusion Rayne-Piro-Raven speak now.. I don't care how long, I don't care if you belive I'm going to 'hate' you for the rest of our lives. I've heard enough, from Jacob and Kel stating that what a terrible person Cody is, and I'm tired of seeing you pathetic..." Brent stated with a roar, stamping his foot onto the stone floor. "You have to voice what you feel to someone, or it will break you from the inside. Your will to live, will place you into a depression and you'll do stupid things." snapped Brent.
It was time for harsh love. He loved his cousin, and admired that she cared more about other peoples problems then her own. But enough was enough, he was tired of seeing the sad girl plaster a happy face, to the world around her. It was her time. The only time she might have to tell someone what was going on in that confused mind. What she felt about everything. To let them melt, and fade and have someone with a level head, talk her threw them.
After her parents divorce, Alexandria, told Brent that Illusion became quiet and more to herself. Cody, although was a great guy, had caused less good with his fling with Ally Trinton. A Gryffindor girl with, less self respect for a current relationship, than a striper in a church. The effects, seemed to rise and show on Illusions face, weather she saw it or not. To make everything else better, her best friends, Jacob and Samatha, had made things worse, by going after Cody and his many shaky disapearances.

Illusion closed her eyes, as he took hits on the parts she was most sensitive about. Everything he said, was true. It made Illusion feel worst about the situation. She was pathetic. Illy let her boyfriend, disapear all the time, and just act as if nothing happens. She let her friends, tell her, that she should break up with him. Illusion let everyone else control her. Everything about her life, wasn't what someone should go threw.
Illy Lu, didn't think she wanted to just start blabing all her feelings to her cousin, but she honestly couldn't take it any longer. Taking in a long deep breath, filling her lungs with new air, Illusion began. "Okay Brent, fine, you want to know everything. Here." she stated as she looked him in the eye. "My boyfriend, disapears, all the time. So called friends, bother me about it all the time, and constantly remind me, to break up with him. My adopted sister, belives the same thing. I feel as if, I'm not wanted anymore, by my so called 'boyfriend' who the most I've spoken to him, in a long time, was when he told me about him cheating with Ally Trinton." she stopped to take a breath, only to begin crying.
"The worst part about everything, is I feel like I have no one to talk to anymore. I take care of everyone else, and push my own heart-ache away. Mum and Dad divorced. I knew it was going to happen sooner or later, but it still hurts. The only person who actually understood me.. Moved away. And half of the good friends, I can talk about this stuff to. Well she's going threw her own Heart-ache, and I want to play the good friend, and help her out." Illusion said falling to the ground as she let the tears run from her eyes. Wiping them away. Finally, she told someone, now it was his judgement.

"Illusion.. Why do you let them influence you?" he asked her, it was simple enough, I mean, if they we're really her friends, then they wouldn't make her do something that she definently seemed not to feel confortable with. But there was something about her, that made Brent want to ask her if she did want to break it off, Brent pushed the question aside, he didn't need her mad at him. Another thing that bugged Brent was, her tendency to help her friends. "Illy, if you are always helping your friends, and your around them. Wouldn't they see that your not doing so hot yourself?" Brent asked.
"And your not alone on the family bit. I lost both my parents." he pointed out. "Atleast you still have both, and get to see them both equally. It's not like their gone forever, and you'll never see them again, like your friend Bries parents or my own." Brent added. He slowly sat down next to her, hugging her.
"As for Cody. I think you should let him know. Ask him, if he's not going to shape up. What's the point of being together. Relationships are hard, but their not suppose to be that hard. I know, that you feel like you love him. But think long and hard, are you really. You said it yourself, you two haven't talked much, how do you know that there is anything more between you two." Brent said

Illusion rubbed her temples. Brent had a point, and she hated to admit it. She was to much involved in caring about everyone else, that she couldn't see straight to the simple solution to the things that made Illy Lu's brain hurt. Here, her cousin and layed it out plain and simple. Why didn't she think of that?
Finally Illusion came out of her dazed thinking. "Brent, your right." Illusion told him with a sigh. "Cody and I can't last forever like this. "I can't take the fact that we don't talk, like normal people in a relationship does. I Am basicly fooling myself being like this. Next time, when I see Cody, if I do see him at all, we're going to talk. Just him and me... And I'll lay down the law." she told her cousin hazel eyes looking at him.
"As for my friends, I can't say anything about them. Not when they are going threw their own problems. I can't blame them, for being worried sick about what was going on with them, just to realize that poor Illy Lu was going to have a break down." she told him. "And, so what if they influence me. I realize that friends, are suppose to be supportive, but they all can't be. I mean, everyonce in awhile, your friends, will have a problem with something that I have done. I'm not Miss Perfect. Making mistakes, that my freinds don't like is appart of them being my friends."

Brent nodded his head in agreement to his cousins finally thinking properly about the situation. She now had a better open mind. Smiling Brent said. "Illy you realize that you just figured out your problems with only a nudge from me.. You can get threw your problems alone. You just need some help getting them straight." Brent pointed out.
"We should do this cousin thing more offten. I mean I get to understand you better, and you might be able to open me up. If you try hard enough. But I doubt you'll get far...." Brent told Illy with a wicked grin. He was a hard book to open, Brent would make sure that his cousin, wouldn't get to much out of him, that would cause her to meddle.
