Well.... You couldn't say that the sixth year was not having fun. Spinning around in a rolly chair could be very fun. I guess. With a sigh, Ashley leaned back in the chair and began to spin around in a circle once again. Hey, there was nothing better to do... Ok, maybe there was but she didn't feel like doing it. It had been a rather uneventful term so far and this is what the Hufflepuff had been reduced to. Quite sad.
She placed her foot firmly on the floor and came to a stop suddenly, facing the table which was next to her. Her new lap top was situated on the desk in front of her. Now, since this sixth year was a pure blood she did lack a lot of knowledge about muggle electronics, but she still knew some about them.
What would she do now? She bit her lower lip as she drew herself closer to the contraption, pulling up her music and looking down the long list. While she was there she might as well do something she enjoyed. Singing. She had been practicing her guitar and had been neglecting the use of her vocals. She had to admit she was getting better with a guitar, but she still was not very good. Singing on the other hand, she could do that task fairly well.
She picked up her head phones and placed them on her head. She pressed the play button on the computer and began to hum the song, not paying attention to the others around her.

Ryan was a person who could multi-task very well. Not many people could cary somthing on thier back, (his large amplifier), play a guitar, (Black with flames, his faveorite), and hace a smaller, battery powered amp on his sash. He was, once again, in his red kimono and pants. Hardly ever seen without out of it. Slowly but steadly, he made his way to the Muggle Electronic Room.
That place is the only way to plyg in his large amp. There wernt any other place to have it, so he was on his way. He had been there before, so he knew the way almost by heart. Eventually he made it to the room. He was about half way through a song called Fully Alive by a singer called Flyleaf. It was a good band,
He stoped playing only to open the door, and as soon as he walked in, soft music met his hears, and his Friend, Ashley Lovegood was humming to music. He calked in, sat his amp down from his back, then walked behind her. Slowly, he lifted up an ear from her headphones and wispered "Boo."

The Hufflepuff began to tap her foot as she hummed on, enjoying herself. She sat back in her seat and began to swing back and forth slowly as she listened to a Lostprophets song, which she had randomly wanted to listen to. They were very good in her opinion. She smiled softly as she relaxed in the chair and allowed her eyes to slide shut. Content.
One minute she was listening to her music the next she was jumping out of her skin. Not pleasant. With a sudden gasp, she sprung up onto her feet, her headphones were yanked from their position on her ears to land on the floor. She also had been talented enough to nearly knock her lap top onto the cold floor. Almost. In the last second before it collided with the floor, she reached out and grabbed it out of harms way. Poor muggle electronic.
Ash slowly placed the machine back onto the desk before turning on Ryan. Two words; Evil glare. He was going to be the death of her... along with Bryce. Maybe she would just fake a heart attack one day just to scare them into leaving the poor sixth year alone. Then again, she was the nice person and probably would not fall through with that brilliant plan. Darn!
She wanted to yell at him, but she took in a few deep lung-fulls of air and was able to speak while repressing the sudden anger that had flared to life within her. She wanted to say how she wanted to kill him right about then, but repressed the urge and made an attempt to be a bit kinder. "I really don't like you right now." Ok, so it wasn't much better but hey, give the Hufflepuff some credit! "Why don't you go scare some first years like normal fifth years do? Why do you like to pick on students older than yourself?" She inquired, suddenly remembering that she was now a year older than him. Hehe.
"Why are you..." She didn't have to look far to find the answer to her unasked question. Just beyond where they stood was his amp was sitting alone on the floor. "Practicing?" She asked, wanting to clarify her guess, her anger slowly subsiding. She had earned the title of being his bands manager but so far she had heard nothing on the subject of his band. Oh well, she had been busy lately anyway and would not like to let him down because of her schedule.

"Well, It is funny to see you jump out of your skin. I never get tired of it. If I dont kill you myslef, the Brycie will help me do it. Oh, and just because you are a year ahead of me, doesnt mean you are older than me. I may dont know my age, but I do know that I am older, taller, stronger, and faster than you, and that is just saying a little."
Ryan was laughing so much that he was almost on the ground. his arms were cluching his sides and tears were rolling out of his eyes. It took him three minutes to speek what he said, but his last sentence came out with only one laugh, an dthat was at the end.
"I wanted to have some louder sound, so I brought my larger amp. I can have more than one guitar in it, if you wanted to learn how. I can teach more than just Quidditch, you know.
That last statement was true. Not that long ago, he healped a young student fly better, but he still didnt know if he made it on the team. it would be interesting.
"So, what are you up to? I havent heard from you in a long time, and I was starting to worry about you. i do for anyone of my friends.

You would think that he maybe, just a little, would get tired of it. How many times now had he scared her to death? Don't answer that. She rolled her eyes at his next comment. Ash was sure he could do it alone. Bryce would have it on his conscious later if he killed the poor girl. He was nice unlike somebody...... Cough, cough Ryan.
Ok fine, so maybe he was older.... and stronger, faster and everything she wasn't but still.... "Fine, I get it. Don't have to rub it in," She muttered, sinking down into the chair once again. She felt like sticking her tongue out at him like a five year old, but she was still mad at him and didn't feel like acting childish at the moment. Even if she acted like that most of the time.
"Ahh," Yeah, a bigger amp would probably do the trick. She had forgotten that he was a Quidditch show off as well. "Who might have you taught?" She asked out of curiosity. Against her will, she smiled at his offer. "If I don't improve on my own then I might take you up on that," She laughed lightly at the end of her statement. She shrugged at his question, "Been busy. School work, flying across the world to see my brother. The usual." Yes, flying out to see that stupid brother of hers was becoming a habit. A habit which she would love to break. She had felt guilty for fleeing at their last meeting and had gotten the courage to seek him out again. It didn't go so well either of the times. "You don't have to worry about me ya' know." She added with a small smile. She appreciated it, but felt that it really wasn't necessary. She had always taken care of herself and was not used to the fact that she had people at Hogwarts that did care about her.

"Well, I helped a young firstie fly better, and in the short time I helped him, he became a better player. Maybe I should be a teacher, but of a different sort."
The last sentence was mostly to himself. For a while, he thought about teaching here, but he wouldnt know if the headmistress would let him. He would first talk about it to Professor Blach, his H.O.H, but there was also a conciteration of what he wanted to do.

"Awww, how sweet of you," Ash joked with a laugh. At least he had not been picking on the first year. Ashley did not like the fact that older students sometimes picked on the younger years. It was mean. She could still remember the feelings of her first year at the castle and knew how they felt... somewhat anyway. They didn't need to fear older kids as well.
At his last comment resurfaced some old memories. He had explained to Ash that he wished to be a teacher. Only problem was that the subject he wanted to teach was not liked by the headmistress. She felt bad for him, this is what he really wanted to do, but then again, she had to agree with the headmistress. His idea for a future job might have changed however. She might as well ask again, right? "What do you want to teach now?" She asked curiously. swinging back and forth in the seat, slowly.

"You will just laugh at me. I doubt I will will be able to teach here, anyway. I am, in fact, in the fifth year again, so how will I."
Ryan laughed lightly, and started to set up his guitar amp, and pluging his guitar into it. before he turned on his amp, he tuned in his guitar, based only on sound. It was dificult for some people, but, playing guitars sence his village was destroyed, could do it.

"Will not!" She exclaimed, surprised that he thought she would. Had she ever made fun of him.....Ok, fine. She had, but never about anything he wanted to do. "I really doubt failing one year is going to make that much of a difference." She stated, pulling her feet onto the seat and hugging her knees, her attention now on Ryan instead of the awesome chair. "You will graduate and when you do you can ask to be a teacher," She finished with a smile. She fell silent as he began to hook up his guitar. She watched with interested as he tuned it, using only his ears. Show off.

Ryan finished tuneing in his guitar, then looked at Ash. There was a smile on his face that sugested he was about to say somthing that she might not want to do. He let the silence go on for a fiew more moments, letting her think, the he spoke.
"Hey, I have an idea, lets see you play this. i am in desprite need for a guitarist. go on."

The smile. She didn't like that smile. For one, she knew it too well, and another, he was about to ask something of the Hufflepuff or suggest something stupid. In this case he was going to demand something stupid. Her smile vanished in response to his. She continued to stare at him, becoming uneasy as he finished up tuning the guitar.
"Hey, I have an idea, lets see you play this. I am in desperate need for a guitarist. Go on."
Why her? She was alarmed as he held out his guitar for her to take. "But. I.... You..." She was at a loss for words. She really did not want to play, especially in front of Ryan. She was doing better, but far from being anywhere near his guitarist. "I thought I was manager?" She asked, stalling. She didn't feel like making a fool of herself at that moment. Then again, it was tempting to play at the moment. What would the little girl do?

Ashley rolled her eyes. He was a bit demanding today, wasn't he? "Hmm," Her expression turned thoughtful as she tried to think of a song for him to play. She drew up blank. Even if she did know his music taste, she could not think of a song for him to play on his guitar. "Uh, didn't you have something in mind?" She asked him, sure he would have something in mind to play since he was down here.
((Sucky. Sorry))

"I can think of many songs to do, but most, if not all, dont sound right without at least the drums, well, unless you count the estecy of gold. good little song, with or without any other music."
Ryan smiled at Ash, and slowly slipped the strap over his shoulders, well, his right one. He was right handed, after all. He waited patiently for Ash to reply.

"Yeah, most songs don't sound quite right when there missing drums," She agreed, turning back to her computer. "That's why you have me and my handy-dandy computer," She continued, glancing at Ryan with a grin. "Pick any song you want, I can pull up an instrumental version of the song and isolate the drums if you want." She continued. Even if she was a pure blood, she knew quite a lot about computers. That was about the only muggle electronic she knew quite a lot about. Quite sad. She looked back over her shoulder to see that Ryan had his guitar all set up, "Which song Mr. Owl?" She asked with a slightly teasing tone.

"I swere, I am going to knock myself out if this goes on much longer."
Ryan had mock anger, but his yellow eyes held none of it, and were still soft and warm.
Let me ask you somthing. You, as manager, need to plan everything and pick the songs that need to be played. Do you not find that good. i think that you should start now? If not, then I will be forced to tackle you and torture you until you take it seriously."
It took all of Ryans willpower to stop him from smiling, and even then, he hung his head; hiding his entire face in his bangs. There was still mock anger in his voice, but it bacame sorrow.
