Haley blowed the end of her wand. It was a typically Hollywood gesture. You know those western movies when the guns shoot a lot of bullets and the cowboy raises his gun to his lips and blows away the smoke coming from the smoking barrel? This is what Haley did after she finished with the room. She was proud of her handiwork. Perhaps she should be.
The Muggle Electronics room was just the same it always was. Yeah right. Multi-colored streamers hung from the ceiling. Music, she had picked E Nomine for kicks, was blaring in the speakers of a CD player. There was some food she had snuck in placed upon a table. Just waiting to be eaten. There were chips, soda, smoothies...enough for two people and then some. The lights were dim with a spotlight on a banner: Happy Birthday Holden. And somehow HIM posters appeared around along with Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and a cardboard cut out of Atreyu. And many random knick knacks around the room.
Yes, even after being in the hospital. Even after almost dying, she had not forgotten her ex-boydfriend--friend's birthday. Her owl had already sent him an owl to appear in this room immediately. It seemed like a nice place to hold a nice hang out of celebration. Haley wanted to do something for him. Wanted to let him know she remembered. Yes, secretly she wanted to impress him. Haley also forced herself to forget the fights that happened in this room. Not everything in this room was bad...memories of good were also here.
"Holden, hurry up and get here," Haley murmured, looking out the window. The moon was full tonight and the light was streaming in, The thrum of electronics was oddly comforting to her. She remembered being in a muggle school and hearing it there too. So much had it developed. Muggles really were something when they put their minds to it. And, lets face it, they had a lot of minds to work through things. Then again, some of those minds truly were stupid. Oh well, same could be said with her lot.
Her hand raised gently, twirling a strand of her hair. The strand had tips of neon orange and green. It made her think of her appearance. How her hair was in a pony-tail and how her eyes shown a little bit in the dark light. How she was wearing a black t-shirt with a pink guitar on it, pink converses, a hot pink plastic bracelet. How her orange shuffle was clipped to her belt loop and how the earphones were in but no music was churning out. And how she looked very odd sitting ontop of a computer.
"Holden will think I am one of the weirdest people on the planet...God dang it--where is he?" she grumbled, looking at the door. On the table there was a cake. It was marble...she either never knew Holden's favorite cake or she had forgotten. Forgot--what a horrible word.
