Where or where could my lover be? [Gabriella]

Max thought to himself. Where or where to go on a second, yes second date with Gabriella. This time he thought he would ask her out if things went well. Max had sent her an owl saying:

Gabriella,
Please meet me on the grounds on Friday night. I have a surprise for you.

He hoped that she could make it. He thought. Where to go. He did not want to go to the lake, for that was too formal. He then thought of where he was going with Ashley, when they broke up. The Enchanted Gardens. Possibly. He thought to himself. He still got the shivers when he thought of that place, but it seemed to be the only available place. He then swallowed hard. And told himself. "That is where i will do it!" He smiled. This was good.

Max put on a nice shirt and some jeans. He grabbed his coat in case it got chilly. He then stepped out the door of his dorm with some hype in his step. He smiled to himself. This was going to be a good night.

He walked out to the grounds and found a bench. It was still a little sunny out. Good they could watch the sunset. He then patiently waited for Gabriella. The more he waited the more nervous he got. He then swallowed a few times and took some deep breaths to calm himself. He then rubbed the back of his neck.

Gabriella had been sitting in her dorm room when she had gotten the letter from Max and she had been quiet excited for the night, wondering what exactly they were going to do.

Pulling on a pair of jeans she got ready for the night. She then put on a nice shirt purple shirt, though not too nice. She left her wavy dark brown hair down and against her shoulders and she smiled to herself as she started to leave her dorm to go meet Max.

Walking out onto the grounds, the sun was still up in the sky but it would be setting soon enough. Brushing her hair behind her ear she looked around on the grounds for Max. Finally seeing him sitting on a bench she smiled as she walked over, she was a little nervous to be honest but that would all probably go away soon enough.

"Hey," she said with a grin, playing with the ends of her hair as she walked over to Max and sat down next to him on the bench. "So, what's my surprise?" she then asked curiously with the smile still on her face, she didn't expect him to tell her just yet but that was okay.

Gabriella had come at last! Max was then very happy and sudden happiness fled over him. He went over and hugged her"Well, hey!" Was all he could say, for he was still nervous. "Well do you really want to know now?" He asked. He had thought to say at the beginning or the end, but now he did not know if he was ready to tell her. He smiled. He led her to the enchanted garden. "How's this for a nice night together?" Max asked smiling to her. He swallowed hard and smiled once again to her.

Gabriella smiled as she hugged him back. Did she really want to know the surprise just yet or did she want to wait? That was the question. She then decided to wait, at least for a bit, if she couldn't wait then she'd just ask him again what the surprise was, she really did love surprises and she didn't want to jump right into it. "I think I can wait... at least for a little bit," she said with a smile.

He then led her to a garden, a very nice one at that, looking around she was amazed by it all. She had never seen this place before, but then again she hadn't seen many places around the school just yet. "I think you've out done yourself," Gabriella said with a smile and a small laugh as she looked back at Max.

Max smiled. She wanted to wait. Well then waiting it would be. But then he didn't know if he could wait. "Well then waiting it is!" Max said with a laugh.

As they walked to the garden Gabriella looked stunned. "Why thankyou!" Max said with a fake bow. He smiled to Gabriella. "Hey i have an idea. Close your eyes." Max said smiling to her. He read the plaque on a sign at the entrance to the garden once. He saw that there was a reflecting pool. He knew it would be pretty with a fountain. As she closed her eyes he took her hands and led her, avoiding anything to hurt her. He smiled as they walked for a while and then came the small pool. He smiled. It was gorgeous with the dim lights in it. Max then saw that the sun was beginning to set. "Now we'll sit and watch." He said sitting Gabriella down on the bench next to the pool facing the sunset. "Open your eyes!" He told her smiling to her.

Gabriella smiled as she clsoed her eyes, unsure of where Max was going to take her and what it was going to be. As he led her to where ever it was they were going Gabriella walked cautiously, not wanting to hit anything even though Gabriella knew that Max wouldn't let her. As she sat down on the bench she opened her eyes and looked around, stunned by how pretty it was. "It's so pretty..." Gabriella said, stunned by the fountain and by the sunset, she really did think that it was nice and was glad that Max had decided to take her here. Leaning her head on his shoulder, she smiled as she watched the sunset, it was silent for a little while but it wasn't an awkward silence, it was actually quite nice.

Max smiled as he could tell she was stunned. He looked to her. She had leaned her head on his shoulder. Would this be a good time? He asked himself.

They watched the sunset slowly turn to a pretty reddish orange and then disappear below the land. He smiled as now it was dark, but the moon was bright as it lit up the garden, plus some lights hanging around by the flowers. He smiled to her. "Is this a good time for your surprise?" He asked getting nervous, but he felt good. He smiled and put his arm around her while her head was still on her shoulder.

Gabriella loved just watching the sunset, it was all so peaceful and calming just sitting there, not to mention that it was a lot better with Max there. They didn't say anything for a while as they sat there but as the sun set lowered Max asked if it was a good time for her surprise, was it a good time for it? she asked herself. The more she thought about it she couldn't stop thinking about what it might be so she decided that it was a good time. "I think it's a good time," Gabriella said smiling up at Max as he put his arm around her, as she waited for his reply wondering what exactly the big surprise might be.

Max smiled. He looked up to the moon. He smiled to Gabriella she wanted to know her surprise. "Well, if you truly do, then." Here it goes he thought to himself. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment. He knew he was ready, he was just afraid of how she would reply. He took a hard swallow and looked to her. It is now or never. He told himself. He took her hands as they turned to each other. "Would you like to go out with me?" There Max had said it! He felt all the blood rush to his head and his face get quite warm. He bit his lower lip, afraid of how she would reply.

Max had known that the last time he asked a girl out it did not go so well, so he was being very brave doing this. He looked around and felt like everyone was looking at him, though there were only a few people here, and they were either talking to themselves or something of the sort. He looked to Gabriella and closed his eyes in hope for a moment.

Gabriella turned to Max as he took her hands and waited for what Max was about to tell her. What was it exactly?

"Would you like to go out with me?"

To be honest, Gabriella was a bit shocked, she hadn't really been expecting that question at all, but she was happy he had asked her none the less. A smile spread across her lips as she looked at him, "I'd love too Max," she said and she slid over and gave him a hug, the smile still on her face as she did so.

Max smiled. He was so happy. He felt it flood through his body. He got this warm feeling. So she had actually said yes? wow. He got a huge grin on his face. Gabriella hugged him. When she let go, he gave her a kiss on the nose. He laughed. "Yes." He said over and over again in his mind. "Really? Thankyou so much!" He told her, still just thinking this was a dream. He just had to stand up and get this through him. He was so excited. Then he ran around the bush just like a little kid and he ran behind the fountain. He came up behind Gabriella and picked her up by the waist and spun her around. He smiled to her.

As he let her go, he kissed her on the nose and she grinned, watching him be his crazy self that she loved so much. As he ran around a bush and behind a fountain Gabriella laughed and continued to smile as he spun her around. Max wasn't the only one that was happy, Gabriella couldn't take the smile off of her face as she watched Max and then landed on the ground. The small lights lit up the garden and it was all so perfect, she really ahdn't thoguht that anything could beat the other night they had in the pumpkin patch together, but apparently she was wrong. "So... what do you want to do now?" she asked curiously, the smile still spread across her lips as she put her arms over his shoulders, waiting for his reply.

Max smiled, smiled and did some more smiling. He just couldn't stop he was so happy and excited and every happy emotion that you could be. He laughed. Max could just not control himself.

"So...what do you want to do now?"

The question hit him. What did he want to do. He wanted to do everything in the world with Gabriella. "Hmm you chose!" He laughed as he then smiled, some more.

Gabriella watched Max as he continued to smile, he really was happy... which made her happy that he was happy and she was happy that he had asked her out and yeah... to make it short, she was happy. So she had to choose... but what to choose? There were so many things to choose from and it was impossible to choose just one, she then smiled as she thoguht of an idea. Walking over the fountain, which they were close too, so it wasn't a very far walk, Gabriella reached over and scooped up some water with her hand, flicking it in his face as she smiled. "Oh, I'm sorry," Gabriella said with a smile, making it seem like she hadn't meant to do it, even though she knew her and Max both knew she meant to. She quickly ran away with a smile on her face, daring Max to chase after her, she knew that he would catch her... eventually.

Max smiled as she splashed him. "Oh you better be!" He told her scooping up some water, running after her and dumping it on her head. "Oops I'm sorry!" He told her laughing, imitating her. He smiled as she ran away. He chased after her and ran up to her. he hugged her around the middle and swung her around. Making her feet fly out in front of her. He laughed. "How's that!?" He asked finally putting her down. "So, I dare you to jump in the fountain!" He told her smiling as they walked/ran back to it.

Gabriella laughed as she continued to run but Max dumped some water on her head before she got too far and she shook her head a bit as the water dripped down her face. He then swung her around as her feet flew out in front of her and she laughed as well, landing on the ground it took her a moment to gain her balance so she leaned up against Max for a minute as she caught her balance and smiled as they walked over to the fountain again. Oh, she'd take that dare. Jumping into the fountain she smiled sweetly at Max, the water was a bit cold but it only went up to her knees so it was okay. Taking another scoop of water she tried to splash Max again.

Oh so she did it! he was impressed. He laughed as she splashed her with more water and then he jumped in. But instead he landed on his back and got soaked. He laughed as he got up. "Ahh run away from the water monster!" He knew it was corny but he laughed anyways. Max held opened his arms and before she got away, he grabbed Gabriella and pulled her into a hug, getting her all wet. "Now, were both wet!" He smiled to her.

Max had then just remembered what he had packed away for them. Just a few days ago he had gone to Honeydukes and bought some candy for Gabriella. "I have another surprise for you!" Max said walking over to his coat, where the bag of candy lay hidden in it's pocket. He took it out. "But to get it, you have to say trick or treat!" He laughed he didn't really expect her too, so he just gave her the bag. But he still wanted to hear if she would. He laughed.

Gabriella laughed as Max jumped in as well but got soaked unlike her who was still dry... kind of. That was until Max pulled her into a hug and got her soaked as well, not completely but pretty much. "Thanks, now I'm all wet," Gabriella said with a laugh but she really didn't mind, it was so fun just being there with Max she really didn't care what happened.

Gabriella's eyes lit up as she watched Max go get her something, the smile still on her face as he brought back a bag of something. "Trick or treat," she said with a smile, she really didn't have to say it since Max had already given her the bag but she still felt like it. Opening the bag her smile grew to a grin as she took a piece of candy and ate it, she loved candy! "Thanks you Mr.Ryans," she said politely, taking another piece of candy with a smile and giving Max a hug. "Do you want any?" she then asked curiously, looking up at him.
