the moon is shining bright
the mood is feeling rightAaryn looked up at the moon and took a deep breath in, letting the night air surround her. She closed her eyes and a strange feeling came about at the same time a small trickle of rain began falling. The wet droplets fell onto the Slytherin's eyelids, 'cause her to open her eyes and blink rapidly. She smiled slightly and then let a soft 'whoop' of joy. She noticed the 'whoop' carried and was worried, if only for a moment. A teacher might hear and come into the forest and yell at her. But hopefully, no one would hear and Aaryn would be safe. She sighed happily, for a moment, forgetting why she was here in the first place. It wasn't important at the moment.
Some loved the cloudless sky, with birds flying high, but not his girl, no, she found beauty in the small drops of rain that fell from the grey clouds.
Aaryn was not a poetic girl, yet the night and the rain gave her the feeling a painter gets when he's finally finished his masterpiece. It gave her a rush. She spun in circles, the need to sing came suddenly. "I'm singing in the rain," she began, with only a small mutter, "just singing in the rain." Aaryn stopped spinning and held out her arms, as if to welcome the drizzle into her warm [if a tad wet] arms. "What a glorious feeling, I'm happy again." She jumped in the air.
i’ll kiss you on your neck
people’ll stare and we won’t careThat was when Aaryn stopped. She remembered her purpose out here. She was supposed to be studying. She needed a quiet place to be a 'good student'. Or, that was her excuse if a teacher came. Really, she just wanted to let the trees keep her company for a few hours. To get away from everyone so she could think, really think. Aaryn sat back down on the rock she had been sitting on, and pushed her bags to make room for herself. Burying her face in her hands, she sighed again, this time, sadly.
What was she thinking about? Boys. But explaining her predicament would be tedious and boring. She kicked the ground and snatched up her bag, rifling through her things. She pulled out a thin muggle book, with the title The Eyre Affair. She had gone around Hogsmeade and found this. It was a nice little book, and she had started reading it. It was a nice book, and she got most of it, having grown up in the muggle world. She turned to her page, lay down on the rock, and began reading.
we’re high above the ground
we’re nowhere to be found
