Selena carefully tied the last laces on each of her ice skates into a small bow before she had walked to the edge of the lake. It had made her wonder about the last time that her skates had touched the smooth ice like glass.
When was the last time I skated?
The loner had quickly shivered off the last of any current nervousness and worry before allowing the blades of her shoes to scar the ice. It didn't take her long to gracefully glide across the ice like she had done back at Hope so long ago...
Seeing her reflection on the ice through her abnormal silver eyes had brought back memories of lonely times that turned to happy times as soon as her feet touched the ice to Ms. Wolfsong. But was there someone on the sidelines watching her as Selena skated?

Well, the castle had certainly been turned into a winter wonder land. Soft flecks of snow was falling from the masses of cotton floating high above in the lightly pained sky. The only sound that reached the sixth years ears was the lonely sound of the delicate crunching of her shoes against the packed frozen crystals beneath her. Stunning green eyes scanned the small snow banks which had begun to form after the endless whisper of the snow filled winds during the long hours of the night.
The Mihael paused in her step as she reached the edge of the lake. There was no longer choppy waters to fill in the deep bowl that made up the massive lake, but a sheet of ice. The sun danced off the surface of the frozen water, blinding the girl for a moment. When she could once again take use of her eyes without pain, she glanced around the lake, at first seeing no one. A light smile played across her lips as she continued to stare across the ice, lost in her own thoughts. She could just see the delighted face that would accompany one of her best friends the next time she saw her. She was a figure skater after all, the freezing of the lake would cause a wave of happiness to crash all around her.
With a sigh, the sixth year slid her hands into the pockets of her thick hoodie, glad that she had bought a new jacket for the cold season of winter. A sudden movement caught the girls attention, and her gaze suddenly shifted to the figure now gliding across the smooth surface of the ice. Who could it be? Clair stared at the student for a long while. She had not run into girl before, not that she could recall anyway. Puzzled and curious, the Mihael continued to watch her as she gracefully made her way across the surface, not seeming to notice her onlooker.
But Selena was lost in her own mind to notice the Miheal girl, entrapt by memories that still haunt her at night and some of the day itself. The ice on the lake was being scarred by the blades on her feet as the loner just glides across the ice to get used to the ice in case she falls.
....
Time to rock. Selena had gained enough speed to do a trick and soon she was spinning into the air so lightly like a bird. One spin, double spin...Triple! The landing wasn't as hard as the lift-off 'cause the Ravenclaw had landed so gracefully....So gracefully that the loner was glad that she was wearing her favorite black jeans today.
Clair tilted her head delicately to the side as she continued to watch the Ravenclaw. As green orbs followed the girls progress across the smooth surface of the lake, the unknown student suddenly picked up speed. The Mihael watched intently as the girl suddenly positioned herself to go into a jump. Was the girl a figure skater also? Apparently so. Clair watched from the sidelines as she suddenly landed a clean triple jump. Impressive.
"Your a great skater," The sixth year finally called out, making her presence known. This would probably be a better time to announce herself than at a later time. Noticing for the first time that she had crossed her arms across her torso, she straightened out of her slack pose and shuffled closer to the edge of the vast frozen lake. "I'm Clair Crystal by the way," She added, a friendly smile visible across her face. She hoped the girl did not mind her being there. If it did so bother her, then she would depart, but Clair wished against it.
"You're a great skater! I'm Clair Crystal by the way!"
This had almost startled Selena when she had heard some call out to her and snapped her out of her reverie. It didn't take her long to find the girl who had complimented her from the sidelines. The loner quickly stoped when she almost past her then walked off the ice.
"Um...Thanks, name's Selena Wolfsong."
Okay so maybe her social skills aren't very good. But that wasn't exactly her fault! With a little more practice the rper is sure that she'll get better.
((OOC: Ugh...Very crappy...))

"It's nice to meet you Selena," Clair replied rather cheerfully as the girl quickly dug her toe-pick into the ice in front of her. "Sorry," She apologized, "I was just wandering about and I saw you skating," The sixth year explained, her friendly smile still in place. "Do you skate often?" She asked, making an attempt to strike up a conversation. She was very intrigued by the topic which she found leaving her lips. Clair loved winter, especially the snow. She usually spent her breaks up in the far away mountains. From there, her time was usually preoccupied by snowboarding and on the occasion ice skating. Ashley discovered that someone liked the snow as much as she and dragged her about the castle when ice finally froze the lake, seeking company and suggestions as she carved up the ice.
"Mind if I join you?" Clair asked, her bright green eyes settled on her new acquaintance. She could summon her skates from the lake side. She was sure they were buried in the bottom of her trunk, but it would not matter with the aid of her wand, which was tucked away in her back pocket.
Uh-oh. Looks like Selena wasn't paying attention and only caught the second question that Clair had asked her. All she noticed though is that Clair didn't have her skates with her and it didn't take her THAT long for the little loner to figure it out. YES, ice skates are very dangerous, pointy objects that should be stayed away from when using the Acico charm! Don't ask Selena why, it's just plain common sense so it SHOULD be obvious.
"Uh...I'll be skating over there if you need me."
Selena had quickly gotten back on the ice with no trouble at all and skated as fast as she could away from Clair after figuring out that she is going to use the charm to get her skates.
A bright smile illuminated the sixth years features as Selena stated that she could join in the fun. "Thanks!" she replied, her tone exuberant. As the Mihael withdrew her wand from her back pocket, her attention was suddenly drawn back to the Hufflepuff's retreating back. Involuntarily, she girl raised an eyebrow and her look of excitement faded into a mask of questioning. It only took the girl a moment longer to figure out the reason behind Selena's fast retreat. Ice skates. Pointy and dangerous.
You would have thought after that little thought cracked through and reason began to work it's magic that she would have run up to the castle and taken twice as long to retrieve her skates. She did not. A small smirk appeared across her lips as she raised her wand and muttered, "Accio!" The only reason why the sixth year would do this, is because she had been smart and put blade guards over her skates blades. Smart little Mihael. Her white skates were soon shuttering to a halt in front of her. With a smile, Clair snatched up the skates and began to lace them up on her now shoeless feet. Sooner than she thought possible, the white boots were tightly secured to her feet and sharp blades were cutting across the ice. "Been a while since I have skated," Clair commented with a brief laugh. She was not going as fast as she would have like to, but it was still fast enough to keep up with Selena.
Still skating across the ice, Selena had watched Clair take a moment of confusion to figure out why the she had skated away from her. It took a longer than expected for the Miheal girl to figure it out but what really surprised her was that Clair had decided to use the spell anyways only to find that the skates had blade guards over her ice skates. Clever.
...Why didn't I think of that?
"Been awhile since I have skated."
Knowing the truth that it's been awhile too since Selena herself has skated, the loner had smirked as she gained more speed. But the Ravenclaw didn't say anything about it though as she just wanted to actually enjoy these few happy moments that she has.

Clair watched with bright green eyes as Selena skated off, a smirk on her face. The Mihael replied with a small smirk of her own as she gracefully began to weave her way across the ice, getting use to the feel of skates tied to her feet. The boot of the figure skates still fit incredibly well, good thing she had gotten them customized for her foot with her last visit to a muggle town. She would need to get the blades sharpened soon, but otherwise they were in tip-top shape.
After a few more moments of adjustment, the sixth year figured she should try to see what she could do after so long on land instead of ice. With a determined smile, she gained enough speed to go into a jump. She landed a single, wobbling a bit at the end. A frown creased her features as she made an attempt to correct her sloppy form. She landed beautifully. With new confidence lit inside of her, Clair skimmed the ice once more and came to execute a flying camel. Wow, it really did feel good to be free on the ice once again. With a smile she glanced over at Selena to see her speeding across the ice still. "What year are you in Selena?" Clair called over to her. She looked to be around the same year as Clair, but it never hurt to ask. She came to a sudden stop, icing the edge of the lake and changing directions so she could hear the girls reply to her question.
