Ugh! There was seriously too much going on lately.... OK, maybe it was just the Hufflepuff's issues that had her caught up all of a sudden. She sighed as she ran a hand through her long hair, straight today. She inclined her head to stare up at the cloudy sky. The clouds seemed to be reflecting how the sixth year felt. Confused. They could not make up their minds if they wanted it to rain or not. Ashley shut her eyes for a brief moment, trying to calm down. She failed miserably at that small task. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately. Failing.
She had messed up with her brother and a few other events in past weeks. They seemed to have stowed themselves away behind a dam in the back of her mind. The dam had become damaged due to her visit with her brother (Which had gone beyond horribly) and all of a sudden, the dam had shattered leaving the rushing water a trouble free escape. A sigh escaped her lips once again as she let her hand fall from her hair, where it had been holding it out of her face, and let her misty blue eyes be seen again. Her eyes had lost their usual shine, leaving them dull. They had been like this for a while now, even if she had hidden it quite well up till this point. Her gaze fell back to earth to find herself at the lake. How had she gotten there? Oh well. She was not in the mood to care where she had ended up.
She stared at the ground as the brownish grass disappeared from beneath her feet to be replaced by sand. Her eyes darted up to see that she had reached the edge of her lake. She had told no one of her visit to her old home, and was not planning on letting those close to her know soon. She had run away. After plucking up the courage to finally confront him after his horrid letter to her, she had run away. She had already spent more than a few days in isolation, she was unsure of where to turn next.
There was also the fact that Ashley Litterll was fine... well, from what she had heard she was OK and alive. This news had angered and relieved her at the same time. Her emotions were so mixed up right then that she was just at the point of breaking down. With a groan, she kicked the sand roughly from under her feet, sending sand into the choppy waters of the lake. Why was this happening now? She felt like sitting down, curled up in a ball, and never getting up. At least till things improved. The knew quite well that the only way things would get better at all was if she fixed things herself. Only problem was, she didn't know how.
