Doru sat on one of the old benches, his guitar in his hands, and his black bangs partly in his eyes. He strummed soft cords to sound of the gentile breeze that filled the fall evening. He played flawlessly through the song, nimbly plucking the strings and fingering the cords, humming lightly as the sound of the acoustic guitar filled the air. Doru did not care if any one was listening to his playing, he just his loved music, it was his most precious thing below his twin brother. He had written many songs, but had never published any of them, although his brother tried to encourage him to do so. He played in a moderate tempo, and if one was as music savvy as he was, they would be able to tell it was in the key of A Major.

AnnaSophia loved to whistle. She wasn't a very good whistler, but she wouldn't give up. Even though it always came out as a sputter of some sort. Kind of frustrating, but rewarding once she got the right tone, nonetheless. As she walked through the park, her hands tucked in a red sweater's pockets, she shivered. It was getting chillier each day, and everyone could sense that winter was on it's way. She continued to whistle the Litherian national anthem over and over again, it was such a catchy tune.
She followed the cobblestoned path through the park, taking in deep breaths and hungrily devouring her surroundings with her deep sea blue eyes. She tucked some hair behind her ear and quickly adjusted her hat. Eventually, a cord began to drift in her direction, she wasn't a musician, just a few piano lessons here and there (OK, she had her grade 8 piano already, but who cares?) but she didn't really know her cords too well. What was it... E major? F minor? She listened intently to the strumming, walking toward it and off the path. The grass was dry and her feet made crunching noises under the leaves.
A! That's what it was. A major. She turned a corner to find a boy, around her age. Maybe a little older, with a guitar. She smiled cheerfully, noticing the concentration in his eyes and how his hands seemed to know what they were doing perfectly without a flaw in their plan. "Um... Hi." she said softly, not wanting to disturb him enough to blow up in her face.
Doru's strumming slowed as he heard the girl talk. He let the last cords ring longer and looked up at her," Alo." He said, not a bit angry that she had talked to him. He brushed his bangs out of his steel-blue eyes with his gloved hand to get a better look at the girl. He shifted on the bench, moving his navy blue guitar to a more comfortable position. Leaning to one side he eyed her, she was young, mostly likely younger than he was," Do you like the music?" he asked her before beginning to play once more while awaiting her answer.

She was glad to see that he wasn't frustrated with her, or angry in any way. She guessed he was one of those laid-back guitarists, who are intently passionate about their playing, but if interrupted, won't mind it at all. She was comforted knowing this small fact. She smiled and leaned against a tree, watching him greet her and go back to playing, but not before asking her a quick question. Did she like the music? Well, she followed the sound here, right?
AnnaSophia nodded, beaming at the guitar in his hand. "I love music." she said thoughtfully, "Especially guitars. I don't know what it is, but hearing the cords and the strumming... it's hard to do that with any other instrument, and have it come out smooth and elegant." she said, smiling wistfully. Quickly, she shook the thought out of her mind.
"Sorry, uherm..." she coughed, "I'm AnnaSophia Thomas." she said quickly.
The guitarist smiled, “I am Doru Raiseninîger, nice to meet you AnnaSophia” He said, and nodded, “Yes it would be quite hard to learn how to play if you don’t have a musical soul.” Doru had a slight accent to his speech, showing that English was not his first language. “Have you played before?” he asked glancing up from his guitar for a brief moment, smiling lightly to her. He played with a slight Latin feel to it, not needing to tap his foot to keep a solid tempo.
((Eh sorry it is short my brother is throwing things at me >.>))

"Nice to meet you too, Doru." she smiled cheerfully. "I'm not really a musician... I mean, I took my grade 8 piano, then stopped after that... I haven't touched a piano for a year or so. I wouldn't say I have a musical soul. They're hard to come across, wouldn't you think? I mean, it's rare to find someone with amazing amounts of talent and enthusiasm for an instrument." she said, sighing. There was a small feeling in the pit of her stomach, nagging her about quitting. She should have tried to learn something new.
"Me?" she asked, flabbergasted, "Err... no. No, I haven't. I've tried playing a few chords, but they didn't turn out very well when I did play them." she smiled sheepishly, "How long have you been playing? It sounds like forever." she chuckled, grinning.
The boy listened to AnnaSophia speak, and paused his playing at the question. How long? Doru thought, “I have been playing for fourteen years.” He answered, “I started when I was three.” He shrugged, “I guess you can call that forever.” He smiled lightly, “If you do not play an instrument, you must have something you are good at. Any particular talent?” he asked, pushing his glasses back onto the bridge of his nose.

"Three? Honestly?" she gaped, no one she knew had started learning an instrument at the tender, sweet age of three. This boy was an utter genius. She gawked and quickly shut her mouth, not wanting to look rude, "Wow... and 14 years..." she shook her head, unbelievable. Was this guy for real? He is just... well... wow. She was flabbergasted. In a good way though, of course. "So that makes you seventeen then?"
"Me? Talent?" she scoffed, "Yeah, I wish. But I can sing! If that counts as anything." she said, blushing slightly.
Doru nodded, “I am seventeen.” He answered listening to the rest of what she had to say. “I would say that singing is a talent. My music teacher in one of my old muggle schools told me that vocalization was one of the hardest forms of music.” He said, “You always have to keep your instrument in top shape, but than again you always have it with you, so if you use it it would sound better than any crafted instrument out there.” He smiled lightly, “I would like to hear you sing sometime.”

"Me?" she asked, her eyes nearly falling out of their sockets in surprise as she vigorously began to shake her head like crazy, "Um... I don't think you want me to sing. I don't er... sing very well in front of people. I'm really really really off key and it sounds horrible! Ask my Mom and dad!" OK, that was a half lie. The mom and dad part. Her mother hates her and her dad just didn't really care about her at all... so they'd hate anything she ever did, so technically, they said that she was a terrible singer.
"I can only sing to the Litherians." she mumbled softly, trying to quickly regain her posture. "But maybe in the future." she added, grinning as her confidence returned home.
Doru looked up at her and nodded, “I’m sure that is all in your head.” He said. “If you get off key fix it and keep going. For the stage fright, I would say try singing in front of a small group of your closest friends, even if it is just one or two.” He smiled lightly, “My brother use to get stage fright all the time before performances, but he grew out of it the more he sung in front of others.”

"I guess you're right about the small crowds and everything... but what do I sing? How do I sing?" she sighed and shook her head, "Nope, I'm not the kind of girl to go off on this whole singing career thing. Backup I can do. Solo, there's no way." she laughed.
"Really? How old is your brother?" she asked curiously, crossing her legs and leaning on head her hand, gazing at him with interest.
“Milo? He is my twin.” Doru said “I was born only ten minutes before he was.” He smiled, “We are almost never apart, but he has a girlfriend now. He invites me along with them but I do not want to interfere with their love life.”
“What about you? Do you have family other than your parents?” Doru asked leaning his guitar against the bench.
